Creativity Cafe was
Creativity Cafe was a cozy little shop located just past Writer’s Block, on the banks of the Rewrite River. It was owned by a person known as Mx. Scribe, who always seemed to teach anyone who visited their shop a lesson about one’s own self. Mx. Scribe had learned to work with all sorts of creatures over the years, and there had never been an unsatisfied customer in their shop. You wonder what lesson Scribe could teach you…

Hello, yes, this is a Coffeehouse roleplay! For those that don’t know, a coffeehouse/cafe roleplay is a kind of roleplay where writers use their already-made charries, usually in order to develop them. For example, maybe you’re writing a novel and you’re not quite sure you understand your protagonist. Well, you could use them in a coffeehouse roleplay, where they interact with other characters from totally different worlds and stories--and it makes you think quite deeply about how your character would react to totally new things, helping you understand/develop them. You can also use any of charries, developed or not--sometimes it’s fun to let the characters we’re proudest of creating interact with one another.
Sounds interesting? Well, if you’d like to join, here’s the character sheet:
Name:
Age:
Gender/Pronouns:
Species:
Personality:
Appearance:
Abilities/Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Background (Optional):
Other:
Please only use characters you’ve created. They can, however, be a fandom character--for example, a character you made for a Harry Potter roleplay or something. I’ll post my characters once this shows up.
Have fun!

I opened the door of the cafe cautiously. Then I stuck my foot in and paused.
I didn't die, so I swung the door open and stepped inside. It really was a cafe, filling up with people and creatures. My hand clenched, wanting to grab my sword. Who knew what was in here, what wanted me dead?
But I forced myself to relax--I was getting too paranoid.
I waltzed over to the counter. The person there greeted me. "Hi, I'm Mx. Scribe! What can I get you?"
"Ummmmmm..." I drew this syllable out for quite some time as I realized I wasn't sure what food they would even have. "Cake?" I almost slapped myself in the face--what a random request. But it had been my favorite food in Thelina Village.
Mx. Scribe shrugged. "Sure, coming right up."
Oh, right, money. I dug around in my bag--what a lot of random currency. "Do you take Noches? Flores? Ummm..." I pulled out a bunch more random coins, all different shapes, colors, and sizes. I dumped them on the counter. "Any of this? Do I have to--"
They swept some of the money off of the table, and I put the rest in my bag gratefully. Then I went to sit down.

Persnickety L. Snodgrass~
Come on, Snicket. She doesn't look dangerous. Don't judge a book by its cover, remember. "Hi," she said, and swallowed hard.
Persnickety took a deep breath. Should she tell this girl her name? Was that a normal thing to do in a coffee shop? She seemed friendly...
"Hi! I'm Emma," someone else said, saving Snicket and the dragon-girl from the awkwardness. "What's you're name?"
Persnickety waved shyly. "I'm Sn- Catrin. My name is Catrin. Nice to meet you. This is-" she realized she didn't actually know what the dragon-girl's name was.
"I'm Skye," the dragon-girl- Skye- supplied quietly.
Snicket pulled out a granola bar. "I didn't bring any money either," Emma said, laughing. Persnickety split the granola bar into thirds. "Want some? It has nuts, though. In case you're allergic."

David~
"Uh, I was wondering the same thing. I don't know, sorry," the pale person said, running a hand through their hair. "Oh, um, I'm Finn, by the way."
As the two shook hands, David winced--Finn had a very strong grip. He shrugged and dismissed their apology. "Cool! Nice to meet you." He looked towards the counter, where a couple people were buying food. "I'm starving, want to grab something to eat? Look, they have muffins!" He hurried over to the counter, and Finn followed uncertainly.
The person behind the counter, Mx. Scribe, looked up as they approached. "What can I get you?"
"I would love a blueberry muffin," David said, pointing one out. Mx. Scribe handed it to him, and he took a bite. "Mm, that's good. So, Finn, tell me about yourself! If you want to, of course," he added hurriedly.

"Hmmmm.... What to get?"
"Speed up, or I'll cut your brain out-"
I heard a little voice come from next to us.
"Um, hello!"
Elliot quickly turned around and ran up to the poor soul.
"Hello to you as well! What's your name? What's your favorite color?"
"Well, My name is Favian-"
"OH. MY. Your nails are freaking fabulous!" Elliot said in his usual high-pitched voice.
"Uh, thanks?" Favian clearly looked a bit flustered.
"Well, allow me to introduce myself. I am Elliot, greatest mage in the lands!"
"A bit of an overexaggeration." I grumbled.
Elliot smirked. "Sorry about my friend. He's not exactly the extrovert type."
"Now, we shall order our beverages!" Elliot said, hopping towards the counter.
I strolled towards there as well, and this other person Favian followed. I quickly turned around and stared them right in the eyes.
"So, bud, what's it going to be? Huh? You a spy for the elf king? You work for the stone church? Are you some sort of assasin?"
"Sorry, I'm none of those."
I snorted. "Suuuure."
We finally approached the counter, and Elliot was still picking his drink out. "I know! I'll go with the triple strawberry dragonfly frappuccino!"
"Ooh. That's a good choice." Favian noted.
"What do you want?" The barista asked.
"A cold cup of fairy blood." I stated.
Elliot chuckled awarkdly. "How 'bout just a plain coffee?"
"Whatever."
I started to walk towards the table, and thought I heard Elliot say something to Favian like "I'm actually getting him a peach smoothie."
I didn't care. I just wanted to get our drinks and leave.

Rose~
I touch the rose pendant, pulling over a half-moon mask, covering only my eyes. It's a rose-gold mask with golden and white feathers adorning it, and carved ruby jewels around it. I pull on my golden fingerless gloves, snatch my throwing knives and a couple other weapons, and round the corner.
I'm in a daydream- so much that I wander off course. I end up near a small shop, one that I've never been to before.
I step in, then freeze. There are many people.
I approach what seems to be the owner of the shop.
"Hello..." I trail off, one hand instinctively grabbing the handle of my battle-ax. I notice some people looking at me, and I shoot a death glare their way.
"Could I have a rose tea?" I push a couple of emeralds on the counter. "I believe that will do that."
I start towards the person who was staring at me, and ask, "Who are you. Sorry if I glared before. Habits are hard to break. Especially when you're on defence."

"Thanks! I love granola bars! And no, I'm not allergic," Emma said, and grabbed a piece of it. She wolfed it down, then realised Skye and Catrin were staring at her. "Oh. Um, sorry," she said sheepishly. "So... Where do you two come from? I'm from New York. And do you know where this place is?"

I'll have this be... before Quera's little magical adventure.
~Quera~
Quera pedaled her bike down the main street, panting a bit as the hot summer sunshine shone heavily down on her. A tiny, squashed-looking coffee shop caught her eye. It sat between two other shops, barely noticable. Perhaps that was why she hadn't seen it before. She looked up, where the sun seemed almost to glare at her, then down at her pocket, where she knew she had a few dollars. Shrugging, she locked her bike onto the bike rack outside of a shop a ways down the road, then walked over to the door of the shop. She pushed it open, feeling the cool bast of the air conditioer and the chatter of other people. On second glance, some of the people looked distinctly un-humanoid, but she just shuddered a bit a the creepiness and turned away. The jingle of the bells on the door faded as it closed, and Quera slowly stepped towards the front of the comfortable room. A person stood behind the counter, smiling brightly. "Welcome, welcome!" they said. "What would you like?" There wasn't a menu anywhere in sight, so Quera shrugged inwardly and said, in a quiet, slow voice, "I'll get a... peach lemonade?" Her questioning tone showed her uncertainty, but the smiling person just grinned wider and nodded. "Any kind of payment is welcome, including but not limited to souls, firstborn children, gold coins, cursed necklaces, and American dollars," they said. Quera frowned, perplexed, but she slid a five-dollar bill across the counter. Then, she took her peach lemonade, sat at a table, and slurped at it.

-- Finn --
Finn followed David over to the counter, where he ordered a blueberry muffin and they ordered a cup of mint tea, which seemed like a safe choice.
"So, Finn, tell me about yourself!" David said. "If you want to, of course."
They hastily took a sip of tea to buy themself some time. "Well. My name's Finn. You know that already, sorry." They closed their eyes for a second. "Let's try this again. Um, I like reading. I just got this new book." They tilted the cover toward them. "It's called The Book Thief. Have you heard of it?"

Skye-
“I-I’m from Inside The Clouds. You’ve probably never heard of it.”
Finally, I decide it must be safe, and my wings fold up behind my back. They jump at my eyes, solid gray without any pupils or irises.
”Anyways, I have a bunch of Molora I stole from The Headmaster.”
They all look a little astonished, I probably didn’t come off as someone who would steal. They’d know soon enough.
”So what do you all want?”
They all stare at me.
”I mean, if you want anything. I know that I want some Boba Tea.”

Emma glanced at Catrin, who seemed just as confused as her. She turned back to Skye. "Um... What's Molora?"
~~~
@Lumi, do you want me to call Snicket by the name Emma knows her as, Catrin, or Snicket? idk if you care, I just wanted to ask.
@Clemetine, of course having a puppy is a strength! :P
Persnickety L. Snodgrass~
Emma seemed confused too, so she felt a little bit less awkward. Skye stole something called Molora from a headmaster of somewhere in the clouds.
Yes, that made a lot of sense. What were Molora? and more importantly, why was Sky stealing them? Snicket- Catrin- she would have to start thinking of herself as Catrin if she was going to be able to pass as someone named Catrin P. Ellis- turned to Skye and waited for an explanation, raising an eyebrow ever so slightly.
~~
@MoonKitten, Catrin would be good :)
