Who wants to do a Round Robin? I sure do!

Right. I had this idea a while back, and I haven't really done anything with it. It's about candy land. It's really a corrupt land, but coated over with sugar. Once there was no candy, only rolling hills and stone castles. When the present King came to the throne, he banned the merchants to trade with the neighboring countries. Nearly everyone was a merchant. Less money came in, and the people became angry. The King captured the  angry merchants and made them slaves in his castle. Some of them were made to become spell casters and were taught by the King's advisor, who practiced magic. The king made them cast an enormous  spell over the land that it made seem jolly and coated with candy, literally. The people, who were mostly women, as the men who were merchants had been captured, had to act as if everything was fine, or be punished cruelly. The spell casters eventually died because the spell sucked so much life out of them to maintain it. New merchants replaced them. So the women band together maybe, to bring down the sickly sweet and mad king? Not sure, someone help me with the rest. Sorry I can't start it, but my mom is making me clean up the kitchen.
