Kurios

Loud, chaotic, violent, peaceful.

One block, there are manors for the well-to-do 
and the other, bare concrete and 'scrapers. 
Kurios is where the market is, where you can buy anything from the super-banned SLM3000#2 or a portal to Earth or the latest fad-Fullmetal Alchemist, to this turn's groceries.
Sometimes the only law that holds the place together
is the threat of Big Jed's goons catching you and flaying you alive
while, in others, if you drop a piece of Ladie MacInTosh's shanky silverware, you may be fined. 

Magic is suppressed by the Ladie, scorned by Big Jed,
and embraced by the Old,
who have lived in Kurios for longer than imaginable.
Some have it, some don't, but all can feel it.
