Cult of the
Cult of the Dragon Egg RP
You walk down the familiar, narrow tunnel, off for another day of work. the torches are spaced far apart, casting flickering shadows on the bare stone walls. You enter The Cove of the Dragon Egg, a rounded stone cave withought much in it which has become the place where you spend almost as much time in as your home. On the other side of the Cove There is a giant egg - the last in the world, and what it has become your duty to protect. The egg has a mainly chocolate brown, craggle surface, with lots of other flecks of color, and it has a pulsating green light. Bu something seems different today. The flecks of color, usually undertoned that you have to squint to see clearly are brighter, and so is the light coming off of it, and - wait. You gently touch the egg, knowing every crack and crevice after spending years around it. you hand travels doen and - there. At the base of the egg, a new crack has appeared. Than you remember. The prophecy that fortold that the egg would hatch a month from now! The cult will have finally succeded in protecting the egg, and your duties as a dragonwhisperer would soon get a lot more complicated.
The Cult of the Dragon Egg
You, and 11 other special people known as Dragonwhisperers have become The Protectors of the Egg, due to your unique ability to protect it. The egg that your cult is centered around is the last of its kind in the world - the last dragon, and not even a dragon just yet. A Dragonwhisperer is someone (a human) who can telepathically comunicate with dragons. they also have starnge, magical quirks (i.e. eyes that flash purple). Long ago a prophecy had predicted that, one day, after a great war, there would be no more dragons left in the world but one egg, and it fortold that it would hatch a month from now. There are also many other people in the cult, even if their duties are not very related to the egg. The cult's origins are shrouded in mystery, but the goal has always been clear: protect the egg, and the dragon.
The World
This takes place in a magical world with magical creatures (and non-magical ones). Humans do not have magic (although Dragonwhisperers are magical). About 50 years ago a war which had lasted for many years ended. All of the dragons dies and none of there eggs survived, but one. It is a mystery how such powerful creatures could be wiped out.

So this means that I can roleplay now that my charries accepted? If not, you can ignore this post.
~Bradley~
"Ok, I'm here!" I said, walking into the Cove. I had woken up at 4:30 in the morning, and decided, hey, why not come to the Cove in a couple hours?
"Well, Bradley, you're late. A little bit." Gregory said, raising an eyebrow at me.
"Hey, hey, hey, whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down, buddy. I'm hardly ever late. But I did take a little bit of a nap on the way here... But ya can't really blame me for that, can ya? You can? Ok, I'll start doin' my thing with the egg, now. Corinitha, it's my turn, now." I said, walking up to the egg and tapping my foot impatently.
"Bradley, just becuase you're very impatent, doesn't mean that you can just take over my duties." Corinthia said, moving away from the egg.
"Hey, I just like to lay with this thing, and I'll probably go to sleep, yada, yada, yada, I get it!" I snapped at her.
I watched her walk off and smiled and put my hand on the egg. It kinda pulsated in response.
"Ooh, this feels RIGHT! Oh, there come the scales again. Eh, whatever." I said, curling up with the egg.
How was this?

Xavier’s POV:

@EMEKITTYCON KITTEN, SORRY I JUST REALIZED I CONFUSED YOUR CHARACTERS PERSONALITY WITH ANOTHER BRADLY IGNORE MY POST!!!
(July 14, 2020 - 4:39 pm)
It might be fine, nothin incredibly important happened . . . I don't know. Anyway, if Emekittycon Kitten isn't fine with it ignore my post.
Gregory looked over, cleared his throat, and raised an eyebrow, something he tends to do often.
"Uh, you know, the leaders of the cult are working on a name? we have it down to two."
"Yah, leave it up to the experts" said Corinthia sarcastically, rolling her eyes behind Gregory's back.
"Ooh, what's his-- or her-- name?" Bradley asked, getting exited. Tiny scales began shooting up his arms.
"That's classified information" grumbled Gregory.
(July 14, 2020 - 6:44 pm)
"What do you mean, classified information?", asked Zaida, somewhat irked by the secrecy of the cult at times. "We're the ones who have been looking after the egg for ages, we should at least have some say in what it's called. I, for instance, could not live with myself if I had to call it Mildred. I might have to quit. Wait, that isn't one of the options, is it?? If so, please choose the other one."
Gregory rolled his eyes, exasperated. "No, the dragon is not going to be named Mildred, and yes, though you do have a point, the dragon is going to be named by the cult for now. Now, can all of you please get back to work?"
The chattering continued as Zaida took her turn to go and nurture the egg. She knew, traditionally, that her job was to surround the egg with feelings of love and joy, but Zaida had never cared much for traditions. She had decided, long ago, that this would be a dragon of personality, with excellent tastes that she herself would cultivate. Zaida closed her eyes, and focused on the deep, burning curiosity about the world inside her, and her insatiable appetite for mischief. She would make this dragon into a troublemaker, or die trying.

Xavier's POV:
I smiled at Zaida behind Sir Gregory’s back. She was quite a character.
Always one of the first to speak up when she feels strongly about something, and one of the last to leave the egg.
She’s also the first to get revenge on people who tell short jokes, in her own, mischievous ways, that I would never dare to do.
Definitely one of my favorite fellow Dragonwhisperers.
I lean against the wall of the Cove, wondering if I actually looked as bad as Bradley so graciously pointed out.
I wasn't up that long. I only stayed up an extra...
Five hours.
Huh. No wonder I slept in.
”...ier? Earth to Xavier?” Someone called. But something was weird, who ever spoke sounded like they we’re... Fuzzy. Like they were underwater.
I blinked. All of a sudden my vision was plagued by black spots.
After leaning against the wall of a couple of seconds, my vision cleared.
”I must be sick or something.” I thought, as I look up to the person talking to me.
I clear my throat. ”Yeah?”

No, no, it's ok. I've done that before, when I was writing a book and I had these twins, one named Bradley, and one named Davin. It's ok, Bradley is kinda like that sometimes.

Phew. I was worried I had to rewrite that whole section XD

Bradley's POV
I walked around the Cove, kinda bored, as usual. I looked at the egg, just sitting there, with a few cracks at the base.
"I know it's not my turn just yet, but I have a feeling that someone or something is trying to do something to this egg. I know I'm not supposed to do this, but..." I muttered to myself, picking up the egg.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING, BRADLEY?!?" A voice boomed from behind me.
"I was just trying to put this somewhere safe, dude!" I said, truning around to see Xavier facing me.
"You put that egg down right now, Bradley, or I will give you a knuckle sandwhich!" Xavier said, putting his fist in my face.
"Fine, I'll put the thing back." I said, putting the egg back and holding my hands in the air.
"Leave that thing alone. And your shift is held off, until after everyone else's turn, you hear me?" Xavier said, getting close to my face.
"Ok, ok, fine. Hey, is that a flock of ibeses flying in here?" I said, looking up at a spot in the ceiling in the Cove.
Xavier looked up too, and I tackled him.
"Hey, what are you doing?!" He yelled at me.
"GIVING YOU PAYBACK FOR HOLDING BACK MY SHIFT!!!" I said, going crazy on him.
"Bradley! Get off of him, NOW!" Ekho said, picking me up by my waist.
"LEMME GO! I STILL NEED TO PAY HIM BACK FOR HOLDING BACK MY SHIFT!!! HE'S TRYING TO TORTURE ME!!!!!" I screamed, sturggling to get free from Ekho's grasp.
I finally got free by doing a Burmese Cobra escape move that Lizzy taught me a month before the attack. Thinking bout her made me stop in my tracks. I realized what I just had done. I helped Xavier up and ran over to the corner of the Cove that I usually went to when I thought about Lizzy.
"Oh, Lizzy. I'm sorry, sis. I didn't know what I was doing. I know you want to best for me, and I did too. I wanted you to be happy, but that didn't work out the way we planned. I'm sorry. And now, I'm never gonna work here again." I said, pulling a picture of Lizzy and I at Gentle Falls, a year before the attack. I started crying softly and collasped on the floor on my knees.
"Hey, it's ok, Bradley. Look, I didn't mean to dock your work." Xavier said, putting a hand on my shoulder.
I turned to face him and held my head down. "I'm sorry. I had a feeling that someone was trying to to something to the egg. I was just trying to protect it. Butif Lizzy knew what I was doing..." I said, leaving the sentence unfinished.
How was that?
(July 17, 2020 - 12:22 pm)
Xavier's POV:
I decided to stay quiet.
I never met Lizzy, so anything I could say right now would probably sound fake, even if I really meant it.
I remember when Achaius died.
I got so sick of the sympathy phrases ('Sorry for your loss', 'He's in a better place', 'He was a good man', etc.) people told me, when all he was to them was a hermit, who took care of the forest and the animals.
They didn't see him as a friend or neighbor, like they should have.
They definitely didn't see him as father, like I did.
Whenever I think about the funeral, I boil at the thought of the villagers, who came with their crocodile tears.
Only a quarter of them met him.
Half of them didn't know he existed until he died.
All of them left poems with a flower bouquet.
I hated those poems.
"I'm sorry" I said, sounding as sincere as I could. I continued, honestly "I know I never met her, so I must sound fake, but I am truely sorry for your loss."

Bradleys POV
"I just want my sister back. I have a feeling that I'll see her again. But at the same time, I have a feeling that I'm never gonna see her again. This picture and some of her jewerly, including this dragon egg pendant that she gave me a month before the attack on my village it all I have left of her. That and her toy panda. She slept with him every night. She told me during the attack, before she went into the front lines, that she wanted me to have Pandy" I said, as I pulled Lizzy's panda, now mine, out of my backpack.
"Hmm, looks like he's needs new fur and a bath." Xavier said, looking at Pandy.
"Yeah, but Lizzy always said that his fur has been worn off because of the love and hugs and kisses and squashing him under her pillow every time someone siad that. But she did take good care of him. She pretended to feed him, and every time she fed him, I would lok at her and smile. He has a zipper in the back, but it's jammed. I don't suppose that you would open it, right?" I asked Xavier.
"Well, let me try." He said, trying to open the zipper. He opened it, and there was another photo of me and Lizzy when I was only 10 and she was 5 months old.
"Wow, she was small then." Xavier said, looking at the photo.
"Yeah, she always was. But, boy, was she a fighter. Heh, she would wrestle a fierce creature if it was up to her. But thankfully, I pulled her away right before she got her hands on one." I said, chuickling at the thought of Lizzy toddling towards something, but I pulled her away.
"Bradley! Xavier! The egg is gone!!" Gregory shouted to us. Xavier and I looked where the egg used to be, and in it's place was a note.
" 'I'm taking this egg so I can raise it by myself. Signed, The Trouble Maker.' Zadia." I said, glaring at the note.
"Wait, Zadia took the egg? Why?" Corintha said, clearly confused.
"Because, I think she's trying to do something to that egg." I said, looking at the entrance to the Cove.
