Author Solo Write
You are a writer, preparing to publish your first novel. It has been edited and revised over and over until you hate the sound of the title, but it is done at last. You have sent it sent in to various publishing companies, and you are finally able to take a well earned rest.
But just as you lean back into your favorite chair, you hear a knock at your door. Glancing at the clock, you see that it is two in the morning. You were up all night sending out your manuscript, and you ought to be the only one awake all over town. There should surely be no one at your door.
Trying not to wake up the other inhabitants of the house, You go to the door, preparing to yell at whoever it is. But you see no one. Just an envelope. You pick it up and read.

Unless ten authors allowed per any genre?

I'd like to reserve for poetry.

Wait, someone else said poetry, sorry. Potentiality for it. If you want it I can do short stories.

I'm sorry, Blackfooted Bobcat, but all the spots have been claimed except for beginning reader. However, that is a wide genre, so you can do anything you want with it, including poetry or short stories.

I'm really sorry, I thought I had checked but I must not have. I'll take beginning reader, then, if that's okay. I'm really really really sorry! Oh, and is shipping like how they arrive or something? Or is it something else?

I'm reserving! Whatever's not taken, although picture book is my first choice, I'm fine with anything.

Okay, here's my charrie. I'm super excited about this!

Name: Lola Sage

Age: 18

Gender/pronouns: Female, she/her/hers

Appearance: Lola is short and slender, with strawberry blond hair in a short bob, with freckles on her nose and cheeks. She always wears a pale pink lip gloss called "Touch of Fairy Dust." Her favorite outfit (which she often wears for days on end while she is writing and drawing) is a soft, flowing, robin's egg blue dress with green, blue, and violet patterns on it. She also wears a soft, white bandana headband, brown leather sandals, and tiny, gold hoop earrings.

Personality: She is always happy and bubbly on the outside, but can be hurt easily. She is also very caring, to the point where it can get very annoying. Also, although she is normally very compassionate, and understanding of others' needs, when she is working on a book, she becomes purely self-absorbed.

Background: She just graduated from high school and it taking a year's break before going to college for art and creative writing. When in high school, she was one of the "popular kids." She played soccer and played flute in band. She has a twin sister named Carly.

Luggage: About ten tubes of "Touch of Fairy Dust" lip gloss. Also, a few autographed copies of her book, Seal Girl, her phone, her laptop, a notepad, and a set of sparkly gel pens. And a complete set of The Hunger Games, including The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Oh, and clothes and toiletries and stuff. And a hairless kitten named Lucy Grey (who is not luggage, but there's nowhere else to put her on this list) and all of the cat's necessities.

Book genre: Picturebook

SHORT summary of book: It is called, Seal Girl, and it is a retelling of the commonly told Scottish folktale, The Selkie Bride, which she both wrote and illustrated. The story is nothing out of the ordinary, the extraordinary part is the pictures, which were done in watercolors.

Shipping: Sure, around her age, please.

Other: She is allergic to cats, but she recently got a hairless kitten named Lucy Grey.

Peregrine - I wasn't trying to copy your character by having mine have a fountain pen and typewriter, I know some people don't like to be copied so I'm just letting you know. I actually just saw that yours did too. I love things like that and thought this RP would be a good place for them. And sorry this is so long...

Name: Yamaneko Iriomotensis (Iriomote cat in Japanese followed by specific subspecies lable for Iriomote leopard cat, prionailurus bengalensis iriomotensis, if I spelled that all right)

Age: 12, but that's probably kind of young to be publishing a book so I can make her older if it would be easier or to make her closer in age to the other characters.

Appearance: Dark brown hair, usually decently tangled with some leaves and sticks in it. Very small for 12, looks more 9 or 10. Light brown skin and dark brown eyes. Wears a dark grey shirt patterned with realistic iriomote cats, a black medium-short skirt with two large pockets, one with a black-footed cat face and one with a Borneo bay cat face on them. If it's cold, she wears clouded leopard-print leggings. No matter what the temperature, wears a black vest with a bunch of pockets on the inside and a fairly large iriomote cat sitting on each side. Calico-print glasses and marbled cat-print boots. Occaisionally carries a medium-large tiger-print bag with lots of pockets and compartments but usually has enough storage without.

Personality: EXTREMELY shy and introverted, decently aloof. Can't do anything while being watched, but when she's alone she can do a lot. Extremely energetic in a quiet way, can never stop fidgeting. Is usually caught up in an imaginary world or thoughts. However, when she's not, she notices everything and doesn't forget it. Not very expressive, partially because she always tries to hide what she's feeling. Very logical. Hates feeling like she's falling because once she fell off a cliff. It should be noted that she is VERY obsessed with cats. Doesn't talk much, usually has something important or about cats to say when she does and usually only says it to one person. Not quick to trust and sometimes fears being betrayed or abandoned, but she'll probably be a lifelong friend when she does trust you.

Background: Lives in a small cottage (okay, more like a shack) in the woods along with her 19-year old brother Fukuro (owl), Ambersky Shadowlynx, and a cat named Pouncemaster (she was 5 when she named him.) Her parents left when she was 5 and Fukuro was 12. Fukuro and Yamaneko get along well, although it's sometimes hard to survive and there's not always a lot to eat because they get all their food from a garden and hunting (for food not sport, no endangered species, very environment-concientious).

Lugggage: Plain recycled paper, Violet Leopard Pilot Metropolitan fountain pen, black ink, and converter, Wild Cats of the World (the name of virtually every wildcat book ever written), six fiction books, all of which are from the library except The Candymakers and All Creatures Great and Small, sketchbook, notebook, high quality eraser, normal pencils, sharpener, Blackwing Pearl pencil and some eraser changes, Olympia SM7 typewriter

Book summary: Begginer reader; each poem, short story, and illustration gives you a clue to solve a bigger mystery.

Shipping: I have no idea what this is, I'll answer if I ever figure it out.

Other: Ambersky Shadowlynx is a lynx stuffie Yamaneko takes most places, and she's very real to her. Yamaneko probably wasn't going to publish her book, but she couldn't pass up the oppurtunity she got.

The dictionary definition of shipping: to support or have a particular interest in a romantic pairing between two characters in a fictional series, often when this relationship is one portrayed by fans rather than depicted in the series itself. So, to pair your charrie in a romantic relationship with another charrie.

And it's perfectly fine to have a 12 year old character, it adds some difference in the age range, which is always good in a story.

Also, your idea for your book is really creative, I love it!

Definately NO to shipping then.

I forgot: She is also very curious but finds ways other than asking questions to figure out the answers. Mainly if she doesn't know you.

I didn’t feel like you were copying me at all.  Our characters just have similar interests.

I don't mean to be impatient, but could you please post your charrie sheet soon so that we can start with the story? We can't start without you, and it's been a few days since you reserved. I'm not asking for you to do it immediately, but could you please post within a few days? Thank you!
