So........ We are
So........ We are stuck in quarantine (Although I am barely not) so I suggest writing a story. When I write a story, (or more commonly, a script or screenplay) I have a problem when I get somewhere in the middle of a story: I have a new idea, and suddenly I want to work on that idea and stop working on what I was already working on. Do you have any tips so I can actually finish my work?

Well, that happens to me a LOT.
i suggest A) writing down the idea for later or B) pause your current story and write the new idea for a while, then go back to your other story. i actually have 10+ stories/novels/books that im working on-i paused several of them in order to write my current solo write and the murder mystery im writing with my sister.
i dunno if that will be helpful, but i have a doc title Story Ideas where i just write down all the ideas i get for other stories.

So, unfortunatly I did not read this until now, but I came up with the same conclusion.
Thanks for your help, Michael.
