Rain pattered the windows. In the distance, Elana could just make out a red light. It grew closer and closer. Suddenly it burst upon Elana and her house. Her family, it seemed, didn't notice. Elana was knocked to her feet by the force of the wind. She shut her eyes. Then she realized that she was sinking through the floor of her house. She could not open her eyes. After a while, she stopped sinking. She lay there for a moment. Then she opened her eyes.

((Haha, this is at least our *third* RRR with a character whose name is a variant of Elana. ;) ))

"Oh look," said Elana, standing up, "I seem to have fallen through the floor of my house."

Elana, of course, was quite shaken and only making this very obvious statement to reassure herself that falling through one's floor was a perfectly normal thing for oneself to do. Amd it worked for about three seconds, until she looked up and saw...

((Ugh, that was awful. Sorry.))

It wasn't awful!!!!!!! Elana was the first name that poped into my head.

((It's ok, no one said it was bad. All it means is Elana is a popular name 'round these parts.))

...Actually, Elana wasn't entirely sure what she saw. It looked a bit like a fish, if she squinted and tilted her head to the right. When she tilted her head to the left and closed one eye, however, it looked rather more like half a CRT monitor. And when she opened both eyes all the way and looked at it straight on its appearance more closely resembled that of a table lamp.

"How very strange," Elana said, continuing her attempt at convincing herself that this was normal.

As soon as she spoke, however, the thing suddenly twisted and dropped down to the floor, and straightened up into the form of a robin.

"Halloo," it said brightly.

" Haloo yourself" said Elana. It was the first thing that came into her head. Later she regretted this when the robin got offended. If a robin could get offended that is. "Don't go copying the way I talk without my permission." He sqwaked (how do you spell that?) "I got that word COPYRIGHTED! Now I could sue you right now. I could." Elana was just about to say some snide anoying remark like "You're a bird, no one's going to listen to you." When the robin turned into a short round human man and walked out the door. " Oh yeah, " He called " You're in a parallel universe where birds rule the world. Just want you to know. Gubye. Oh yeah, I copyrighted that word too."

What an an annoying little man thought Elana. Then a bunny ran past  yelling "I'm Late" and holding a stopwatch. "How peculiar, Hey Bunny, whats your name?" "Late!" he yelled.

So, I'm in a parallel universe with a short round human robin and a bunny named Late, thought Elana. This is like my third adventure and everybody knows that a normal person is only supposed to have one! She sighed and went to her parallel dimensoin fridge to eat, but there was only birdseed and squierral reppelant.
