RP
So, this is a RP which will take place at a cafe known as Sterling Dew Cafe, in the city of Rey. Your charries are the workers. Sterling Dew is run by Catherine Rhyneheart, my charrie, whose daughter has gone missing.
When she realizes this she starts looking for all new workers who have special powers, because she knows that Raul Ekers, the secretive and manipulative mayor of Rey, has stolen her child, Jenna, and she knows that he has special magic of his own.
If Raul manages to keep Jenna he will be able to force her to use her power, the power of controlling people, for horrible purposes. So Catherine knows she must get Jenna back as soon as possible, but she can't do it alone.
-------------Here's the charrie sheet. 2 charries max, please, and there is a maximum of 14 workers at SD. I'll post Catherine's later.

@cerinthe - I am fine with starting or waiting.
(January 11, 2020 - 5:52 pm)
Oh and I just read a charrie's post that had electricity (I think it was Moonlight's maybe?) and I don't wanna copy their charrie so Isla will still be able to heal but she can also run extremely fast. Thanks again!

@Cerinthe, I am good with starting whenever but are you going to start or should one of us? And if so when are we starting? Like when Lark Kidnaps Jenna or when she talks to the magic workers?
(January 12, 2020 - 5:57 pm)
I think the kidnapping scene would be the best way to start, and then I'll go. How does that sound?
(January 13, 2020 - 7:33 pm)
Sounds great, ready when you are!
(January 13, 2020 - 8:41 pm)
It sound fine to me! Are we going to have a posting schedule? (Like a specific order are posts go in?)
(January 13, 2020 - 8:02 pm)
Only for really important scenes. After I post my first part, anyone who wants to can go after that.
(January 14, 2020 - 10:23 pm)
HEr we go!!!
Lark~
When I returned home from work late, I saw a large letter. On it was half the face of a silhouetted wolf. It was from Ekers. I open it it reads:
Dear Agent,
My plan is setting is place. There is only one more piece that you must get for me. Her name is Jenna Rhyneheart. She lives above the shop at the third highest window on the right of the signat Sterling Dew. Enclosed is a masking device. Wear it at all times from now until you deliver her to me. She is very powerful and the device will protect you from her powers. Do not disapoint me. Oh and leave a sign of us. DO NOT MESS UP.
-Ekers
I put on the masking device, a small earpiece that made my face, body, and voice unrecognizable. I burnt the letter with electricity and tossed it away. I activated the earpiece, changed into a black uniform that all agents have, and went out. It was dark out which made my job easier.
I made my way to the shop. I looked up and there was a light on in the third highest window to the right of the sign. After a few minutes the light went out. I waited about ten more minutes then flew up to the window. It was unlocked so I opened it silently and prepared the drugged cloth.
Turns out that Jenna was awake drawing in her sketchpad by the light of a flashlight. Quickly I covered her mouth with the cloth and she tried to fight it. I held it firm and soon enough Jenna fell limp into my arms.
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and put her down. I grabbed her notebook and drew, to the best of my abilities, the half silhouetted wolf. I picked up Jenna and disapeared out the window shutting it behind me. I made sure no evidence was left behind except for the sketchbook.
I flew all the way to Ekers' house and knocked on the door.
"Hello?" a guard said
"Dewfall" I responded.
He opened the door to let me in. I handed Jenna to him. "Ekers would like to talk to you. He is in the study."
I nodded and he left entering the elevator behind the bookshelf. I walked over to the study and opened the doors.
"Come in." A deep voice said. I entered "I knew you wouldn't let me down, Agent" Ekers said sitting in a chair facing away from me.
"I never have sir."
"That is not true."
"Sorry sir."
"This will make the world a better place Agent."
"Of course sir."
"You do not doub't me at all, do you Agent?"
"No sir."
"Thank you Agent. I want you to keep an eye on Catherine Rhyneheart. Please do not mess this up like before. May I remind you of the consequences."
I feel a searing pain on my back right where my wolf tattoo is. It takes all of my strength and self control not to scream. "Of course sir" I say once the pain has gone away "I will not let you down."
"Thank you Agent. You may leave."
I turn around and leave his study massaging my left shoulder, where the tattoo is. I retie my bandanna, take out the earpiece, and head back home. Tomorrow will be... different.

I am going to post my part tomorrow, FYI (I would today but I don't have time - sorry -)

"Jenna!"
...
"JENNA!"
I had called her 5 times and still she hadn't come down for dinner. That girl would really get it this time. Leaving the food on the table to turn cold, I hurried down the hall to her room.
"Jenna! Come out right now!" I called, pounding on the door. There was no response. What was she up to?
I stared quizzically at the door, and it stared superiorly back. What the heck. I was about to lose a facedown with my daughter's bedroom door.
I turned the knob, and, summoning all my powers of making-angry-faces I stepped in, hands on hips. The room appeared empty.
"Jenna?" I whispered, filled with real fear as my legs went wobbly. I took another step in.
"Jenna."
There was no one behind the door, or in the closet, or under the bed, or outside the window. Stepping numbly down the hall, I checked the bathroom, but it was empty too.
It was when I turned back into the bedroom that I noticed her sketchbook, lying abandoned on the bed. The drawing was of a wolf, most of it traced in Jenna's crude, curved strokes. But half of the wolf's face was drawn in a hurried, older, hand, and the pattern of the wolf's fur was different, the detail greater.
I inhaled sharply as I traced the wolf drawing with my hand. Didn't he know that I had spent years teaching my powers to interpret any symbol, any language, any rune? I knew how to search for her now. But I also knew a more terrible thing.
Ekers had taken her.

I called all my new workers to a meeting, and now here we are, standing in the dim kitchen. It's not the best place for a speech, but it'll do.
I look over all of them. We have a wide age range, which I think will be helpful. But the most important thing here is their loyalty.
I begin my speech.
"So, I know obviously all of you are here to serve people food and coffee. Like most cafe workers.
"I also know that you know that our logo has the symbol of the people with powers in this city, which means only those people can work here. Now, I made it that way for a reason. Because I don't just need employees, I need help."
I tell them about Jenna, and how she was kidnapped, and her power, and my power. I tell them that I need to find her, for not only is she my daughter but if Ekers manages to use her as he wishes he shall soon have more than Rey in his clutches. I know that many of them may well be his agents themselves, but I don't care. I am too desperate to care about these risks. I need her and I will do whatever it takes to get her. If his Agents drag me away - let it be! At least I'll be closer to my darling.
"And so," I say, taking a deep breath, "If you work here it is a requirement that you help me search the city for my child, and help to overthrow Ekers as best you can. Speak now or forever hold you peace."
~~~
Another thing: Maybe could we come up with a special name for them, because it's kind of awkward to just say "the people with powers" all the time.
There you go! We have what we need and we are officially started.
I screamed the name that came to my mind, "MOM?" It appeared to only be muffled, having my mouth covered by a cloth. A few footstep sounds approached the fuzzy looking door. The room that I was in had a cold feeling in it. I blinked and everything became normal-ish looking. Everything looked gray, metal, and dark... The handle of the door made a clicking sound, being opened.
"Hello," a voice said from the shadows, casting over the figure that hid in the shadows.
I muffled, trying to ask where I was. Tears started streming down my face, slowly falling down the cloth and soaking in.
I tried to move, but I was tied to a chair, being forced not to move. A person that looked older than my mom walked in. He practically slapped off the cloth that was tied to my face.
"Can you talk, young lady?" He snapped.
"W-Wh—" I tried to say.
"Ah. You must be asking where you are? Why darling, I'm the one you're looking up to now."
"M-Mo..."
"Your mother? Oh yes. She must be very worried. You don't need to worry about her anymore, though. You see, you're staying here with me!" He smiled, maniacally.
"H-h—"
"Your mother isn't here to help you. I am. Say, I've heard you got great powers with controlling others, hm?" He started walking around in front of me, slowly. "And I heard you need help controlling them, hm? I say, why don't I help you?"
"W-Why...?"
"Great! You're forming full sentences! Shall we start? How about later, yes?"
He left the room, the room became even more colder than it was before. Warm tears poured down my face. "M-Mom... H-Help..." My head swung back, the world slowly becoming black and myself, falling to some sort of sleep.
Aaliyah—
I earlier walked over to Sterling Dew Cafe with my sister, Victoria. It was a pretty silent walk, honestly. We later made it to Sterling Dew Cafe earlier than usual to get ready and everything. We later heard that Catherine Rhyneheart called everyone for a speech.
Later, she said if we worked here, we need to search for her daughter. I was quiet, not wanting to say anything, forever holding my peace. I then spoke up quietly, “I agree! I'll help you find your daughter!”
I overheard Victoria muttering, “She's at the Ekers... Jenna Rhyneheart... Female.... Eight years old... Overthrow Ekers...” I nudged her, trying to get her to look at me, “Victoria?”
“Hm?” She turned to me.
“What were you doing? You just started muttering...”
“Oh, yes,” she mumbled. “Mental notes. Sorry. Did I distract you?”
“Not really, just wondering.”
“'Kay, little sister.”
It started to rain outside while we were all gathered in the kitchen. Victoria turned to Catherine, “Do you want me to serve customers while this is happening? There's a huge line out there. I'll bring Aaliyah, Daylee, and Phoenix with me.” Victoria winked at me, smiling. I smiled back.
Catherine~
"Sure," I told Victoria, cracking my knuckles. "Let's get this party started. Not literally."
