Anyone else accidentally get really dark with their NaNo novels this year?

Yep. I know it's my first year, but my novel is ridiculosly dark.

Yeah. Frequent hobbies of mine include thinking about blood and death, and that was what my novel originated from.

So far, no dark stuff... unlike all the other story ideas I’ve had, this one is pretty hard to include violence into, since it’s about children and storytelling and surviving poverty...
