The first candles
The first candles of the night hadn't been lit yet, leaving the room in a peaceful darkness. Someone hurried about the room, their dress rustling around them as they pulled curtain after elegant curtain open, filling the room with the dim light of the moon and stars. There was the slow descent of the chandeliers as they struggled with a rope before tying it off and hurrying to light the candles.
Yes, this was the perfect place for a masquerade.

Now, rules! The basic purpose of a CB Masquerade is to be a grandiose SI, with a bit more emphasis on asking questions and guessing attributes based on context clues, rather than rapidfire guessing of names. Since that general rule hasn't worked in the past, we're going to be setting a few boundaries on guessing. You must ask a CBer three questions before you guess their identity. This can be about themselves, about their disguises, or their favorite type of apple. Really, anything that might help you find out who they are. If you don't think you're ready to guess, you can ask around a bit more. We're not too strict with the rules.
Once you've correctly guessed a CBer, you get to keep their mask. Whoever has the most masks after everyone has been guessed wins!
There is no specific posting style for this masquerade; if you want to go for a short RP-style post, go for it. If you want to go more informal and just flat-out write, that's fine too! Whatever works for you works for us. Please do fill out the sheet, though. You'll find it's short to tailor to any kind of guest we might encounter.

Mask: A white cat mask with jewels along the mask's top edge and the bridge of the nose. Glowing blue eyes shine out of the mask's eyeholes (but these might be contacts...)
Appearance/outfit: A short white dress and tall white boots with high heels. Also, a black jacket with pins on it and a patch on the sleeve (it would likely reveal the wearer's identity, so she has tied a scrap of black cloth over it) that is too beat-up to wear to any kind of party but the wearer seems to not care.
Other: Hahaha... no. Not revealing anything :3

Mask: A plain black mask that looks like it's covered in some kind of fabric. Roses are embroidered on the mask: a total of five. Oddly enough, these roses are blue, not red, pink, or white like a normal rose.
Appearance/outfit: Black suit jacket and black pants. The jacket pocket has another rose embroidered on it (blue again). Tall black boots that look sturdy and comfortable. A blue shirt underneath the suit jacket.
Other: Nothing to say here...

Mask: An unusual shape of grey and green feathers that covers the top half of the wearer's face. it seems to be scorched around the edges.
Appearence/outfit: A grey blouse with loose sleeves and a very high-waisted dark green skirt that goes down to the floor. The skirt has a light green feather pattern on it. Also wearing long, minimalistic emerald earrings, a leather watch and a (somewhat heavy-looking) crossbody leather pouch. Hair is black with what appears to be temporary dye.

Mask: A simple white thing covering the bridge of my nose and sweeping down to my cheekbones; swirling patters of green and gold burst forth from the edges of the eyeholes. Edges are decked with glittering gold lace.
Appearance/outfit: a sleevless, rich green dress; the top is embroidered with more gold lace and the floor-length skirt is composed of floaty gold and green streamers. I have a gold choker and no shoes; my hair is wreathed with a large, leafy decoration set on the back of my head.
Other: You shall see, will you not?

Mask: A black stygian iron helmet that fits around the head like the Ancient Greeks wore, and an arch at the bottom allows you to see the mouth and nose. Eyes peek out of small horizontal slits. A short black horsehair plume is attached to the top of the helmet. Despite it's strange description, the helmet is very pretty.
Appearance/outfit: A flowing black tuniclike garment (It's not a toga. It's a chiton.), with sleek black stygian iron armor, again, designed like the Ancient Greeks, fitted over it, engraved with designs of constellations in silver.
Other: My name and outfit is a clue to my identity.
Also, I will be speaking and acting (as well as I can) unlike myself, to throw you off. I will answer questions directed at me truthfully, but other than that......... TrUsT nOt WhAt YoU sEe...........

Mask: beaten gold, looks like an ancient Roman/Greek war helmet (it does not cover the mouth), dark brown tracings of shapes that appear slightly like music notes
Appearance/Outfit: wavy dark hair, flowy gold top, small shrug/jacket thing slid down to the elbows, gold capris & dark brown mocassins, very tanned skin, tall

Mask: A cobalt blue mask ringed with golden feathers. There are golden music notes on it, made of sparkling gems.
Appearance/Outfit: A short blue dress with golden buttons and a golden belt. Cream colored leggings underneath, with golden music notes on them. Soft brown boots lined with grey fur.
Other: Believe me, I hardly ever act like this...or do I?

Mask: An intricate blue mask lined with tiny swirls of emeralds and peacock feathers.
Appearance/outfit: A turquoise dress with a sequined top and flared skirt, small emerald earrings, and dark curled hair.

Mask: Black, studded with spiky designs around the lower eye corners. The tie is made of a similar silver to the spikes.
Appearance/outfit: Wearing a hooded cloak-like shawl over a dress shirt and pants. Tall black boots. A short strand of curly red hair peeks out from under the hood. Wearing long, dark gray gloves studded around where their arms go in. Have pinned a series of different tie pins to their shawl.

Mask: A gold and silver swirl mask covering my the bridge of my nose and dipping down over my cheek bones.
Appearance/outfit: A black longer dress that has a high neck and tank sleeves. Black booties with a half inch heel, a silver pendant necklace, and sliver cape. My hair is brown and back in a bun with silver leaves in it.
Other: Nope!

Mask: A yellow and black mask with a crimson scar embroidered on the left eye, yellow feathers glued to the side, the scar follows into the holes for the eyes, which are yellow.
Appearance/outfit: (see picture below) A black tux, turned into a dress, with red and grey hair, black boots that reach up to the knee, and the outfit is black and white
