You lie down on your bed, opening up your favorite book to re-read for the twentieth time, when you hear a knocking on your house outside. Curious,you go to your window to see what the matter is. You see a kingfisher with a letter tied to its back pecking on your wooden wall, then flying in fromt of you expectantly. You open the window, and the bird flies in. You untie the letter and read its contents:
Dear Letter Recepitent,
Congrats! We at White Oak Lab & Motel have picked a handful of lucky younguns to live with us, and you are one of the lucky few! We will give you all a complete tour of our grand institution, as well as showing you our top-secret lab. Our scientist work all day to harness the powers behind superstitions, for we at White Oak believe that the magic behind these can be used for both good and evil. Rest assured, we have taken all known precautions to prevent any bad luck from cursing our beloved guests. In fact, we promise to treat you with utmost care, giving you gourmet food and first- - class bedrooms! If you wish to attend, please fill out the form below:

What an odd invite, you think to yourself. How could something be both superstition-centered and scientific? Were these people mad? And most importantly, why send such a superstition - centered letter on Friday the thirteenth?

"I don't have to spell it out for you, do I?" Tillstrom's voice leaks through the computer.
The computer glitches, and the symbol of White Oak, a white oak tree surrounded by a white circle with the words "For humanity, we fight" imprinted on it. Estella's voice, shaky with terror, begins to speak.
"This is an emergency broadcast. Project Valerie has gone awry. We have realized that it was our very intentions that have brung us to our knees. We are no longer in control. We can no longer help you. We can only tell you one thing.
"Black Cat only wants to lead you in lies. They cripple you in fear so that you will make their right decision. We have made many, MANY bad decisions in the past for this very reason. Do not fall victim to their logic. Do not fall victim to their fear. Keep your head clear, and remember this; What you see right now is not the only way to think."
The screen returns to the black, and the neon green words return.

Wait a second! You never said in that letter that if we gave you Kanib, that "he" would be set free and be safe! So technically, if we gave you Kanib, you could kill two people in one strike or whatever you're gonna do with them!

The other person may or may not be who I think it is. I'm a bit unsure about it though, so I won't tell it yet. But... I guess don't get rid of Kanib. Either way, it'd be a sacrifice...
