Character Development Thread!

I personally love character development but at the same time I find it rather challenging. So the purpose of this thread is character development! You can give advice, plan new characters, or even have a sort of character cafe style thing. Let the charactering commence!

Also, Coco says oohu. He's very intrigued to see what you guys can come up with.

I find it useful to write a short history about your characters once you know you are serious about writing a new story.

May I suggest a character sheet? It might help people think more about their characters.

Ooh, yeah, doing character sheets can be really helpful for fleshing out your character! Even if you end up adding a ton of details that you won't ever need in the story, your character will feel more human and end up being a lot easier to write.

Or maybe that's just me. I love making character sheets XD

So-I went to a cavalcade of authors in my area and Ally Condie was there. In her class, she gave some really good pointers on how to make good character development. I wrote them down, and I'll post the pictures of my kotes on here so you can see them. (Sorry if you can't read my messy handwriting. Also, some of the is just stuff I wrote down when she told us to write something; you are welcome to read it, but it itself has nothing to do with character development.)
