Sometimes, in the darkest days of war, a quick minute of peace comes, and two sides of battle realize that really, they're not so different. But then that moment of still is gone, and their commanders order them to charge again. But if peace comes, when peace comes, eventually the same will happen, and the whole world will realize that all everyone really wants is a hug. -from the as-yet unwritten book inspiring quotes by Simon Hurst, Simon Hurst being a pen-name of mine.
In the cliff-tops, lake-sides, forest glades and caves of the cat-Tribes of Stormstar's rest, the land of the Four Rock Tribes, lies an insurmountable evil, unknown to the cats who live there,but guarded by them. It was defeated in the dawning days of the Tribes, and still it slumbers, though its heartbeat causes earthquakes, and its snores storms. The Tribes must always stay by the shore, or no life on earth will be able to stop it. Though the Tribes war amongst themselves, one must never obliterate another, for they are vital in their defense of their own territories.
The Tribe of the High Clifftops oversees the guard. If any of the others were to falter, the Cliff Tribe could go to their defense. The Cliff Tribe are the most welcoming of those from other clans, especially the Cave Tribe.
The Tribe of Icy Lakes watches over the springs, streams and Lake. They are the most territorial of Tribes, for their Tribe's Leader and Healer are the only ones who know of the Enemy, and they guard the Keystone.
The Tribe of Green-leafed Forest guards the deep forests of this land. They are the most agile of all the cats, and can climb a hundred-foot tree in an instant.
The Tribe of Darkened Caves guards the deep cave-paths beneath the other tribes. Grim and unaccepting of cats from other clans, the Cave Tribe has only one small piece of land below the cliffs.
The Tribe of Those Long Past guards the spiritual gateways of Goodstar's Rest. When a cat from any other clan dies, their spirits join these ghostly ranks, unless they were perticularly evil.
So! Basically, the Four Tribes of Goodstar's Rest (and the Past Tribe), are guarding the land from a mysterious evil that has been sealed away for thousands of seasons! Have fun, and here's the charrie sheet!
NAME:
AGE: must be over six moons for Apprentice, over twelve for Warriors/Healers, and probably over twenty-five for leaders/deputys.
RANK: Kit, Apprentice, Warrior, Healer, Deputy, and Leader.
APPEARANCE:
PERSONALITY:
SPECIAL POWERS: Every once in a while, the Past Tribe grants a kit a special, minor, power to help their tribes in the future. Many leaders have these, but not always. The Forest Tribe are the least likely to have these. Quite a few more kits with powerful powers have been born in the past few moons, corresponding to the bad omens the Healers have been recieving. Stormstar was the first and most powerful of these Gifted, having control over storms.
CLAN:
OTHER:
My sheet:
NAME: Lightningstar
AGE: 34
RANK: Leader, some experience as Healer, but mostly as warrior.
APPEARANCE: Black tabby with green eyes and bright orange markings that flare in the sunlight, resembling lightning.
PERSONALITY: TBD
SPECIAL
POWERS: He has a guiding voice in his head, and he has minor control over electricity.
CLAN: the Tribe of High Clifftops.
OTHER: none.
I forgot to mention the Healer meeting place and the meeting place. The Healer meeting place is the Pool of Starry Sky, and the meeting place is the Great Stone Spire, a spire of rock jutting out of the ground in between all four territories. (Even the Cave Tribe, who can climb on it all the way to the top from beneath it. The StarPool is in the very top of the spire.

Hey, I was wondering if anyone wants to be shipped with Birdscale?
(April 22, 2019 - 2:49 pm)
Deftheart~
I pad along silently a few paces away from Silentpaw and Moonface. Everything seems fine - as dark and damp as usual. I can see light up ahead, though, where the passage ends.
We reach the end. Before us stretches the forest, wide and green. There are more passages underneath there, too. It would take weeks to patrol them all, so we only go down to a small stream where there is a waterfall. Here, we often catch fish for the tribe. Latley there haven't been as many, and I believe this is because the cats of the Icy Lakes have been catching more. (The stream connects to the Lake, of course).
We turn into one of the side tunnels, still silent. It is darker here than in the others.
It's not long before we reach the stream. Moonface looks down and speaks, voice muffled by the running water.
"I don't see any fish at all."
Silentpaw's belly growls most oppurtunely.
"We'll survive," I say grimly. "It just means another trip to the Bat Cavern."
Moonface nods, but Silentpaw doesn't seem to be listening. "What's that?" she cries, gazing across the stream.
A cat is standing there, blacker than night. It has silver eyes and a long tail which looks spiked.
"Stay away from our fish," it growls, and disappears.
We three are still.
I speak. "Moonface, Silentpaw, don't speak about this, alright? Not to anyone. I will notify Aspenstar personally. Just put it out of your mind."
Autumnpelt~
"Autumnpelt, are you all right?" Foggyhollow stops by the nursery, looking concerned. "You seem to be trembling."
"I'm fine, Foggyhollow, really," I say.
She doesn't look convinced, but simply nods and passes on.
I lie, shaking, looking after her. My skin is cold, and I can't relax my muscles. The truth is, I just experiented with making an illusion.
I've always been fascinated with my power, even when the elders and older warriors told me to be careful about using it again and again. It used to be that I could only create illusions to appear to people I could see - well, just now, I made one appear to three cats by the underground stream, I don't know which.
The scariest thing about it?
I don't know what kind of illusion I made, or why.
~~~
There is something driving Autumnpelt to use her power to create division between the tribes . . . . . . . . . .
(April 22, 2019 - 3:13 pm)
Winnowpaw—
“Okay, everything seems fine. If you need anything, just call me over.” I finish telling Cherrysong, one of our queens, as I go about my duties as a healer’s apprentice. I turn to leave the den just as another cat bursts in.
“Winnowpaw, you’re needed urgently in the healer’s den. Now.” Lightheart pants when I blink at him in surprise.
“What happened?” I ask over my shoulder as I break into a brisk trot.
“It’s hard to explain right now. Just... brace yourself?”
Before I have time to question what that means, I push into the den.
Reflexively, I ask Birdscale, What do you nee— oh, Rustblaze!”. My heart stops. That does not look like a fun time. Sniffing it, I identify the infection and fetch my mentor some marigold for it. I watch carefully as she chews into a poultice. Being an apprentice, I’ve learned that every little thing is an opportunity to learn. Even in crises such as this one. When Birdscale is finished treating the warrior, we work to move him into a nest. I struggle a bit under his weight, being a smaller cat myself. I think my mentor sees that I’m exhausted from the shock of the day, and she sends me to my nest for a nap. I flop down and immediately find myself tumbling through darkness, and sleep takes me quickly. I don’t stop to consider how this is unusual for me, as it typically takes me long into the night to sleep. When I wake, having slept more than I have in a long while, the fat full moon is high in the sky. I glance over at Rustblaze, who is sleeping soundly, likely under the effect of some type of pain reducing herbs. Birdscale is also asleep, but her face appears agitated. I slip out of the den, my silvery fur borderline glowing in the brightness of the moonlight, and wander to the edge of camp, debating with myself. Despite my choice to become a healer, which I do not regret in the slightest, I have still always wanted to know how to fight. the stories told by the elders fascinate me. Particularly the one about Ravensong, the singular known warrior-healer in our clans history. Secretly, she has been my role model from the very first time I’ve heard her story, and I relish the days when I get to learn to fight as part of my duties to defend the healer’s den. Now, as I slip silently through a hole in the camp wall, meant only for healers, I turn towards the training hollow to try to work off the relentless excess energy that has been plaguing me recently. I do not know why, but the feeling of pressure slowly building beneath my pelt, like a tornado has been trapped under my skin, is beginning to feel uncomfortable. As I enter the hollow where warrior apprentices are my tribe are meant to train, I have to bite back a scream at what I see.
Someone please pick this up! And thanks, Jith, for making that! It’s a huge help!
Err.....
Is it too late for me to join?
(April 22, 2019 - 7:52 pm)
Shellstripe would be open to mentoring! If anyone wants to anyway.
~Shellstripe
A dark figure whips around as three cats draw near.I t solidifies into a large cat and then attacks a red tom. He looks almost dead. A smaller cat shines light into the figures face. It runs away screeching as the light hacks at its face like hail.
I wake up in a panic with the sun in my face. It calms me and I get up streching. The evil is still lingering around. I decide to go see is Echostar is awake. I need to talk to him about the evil. I leave my den and greet the awake warriors and aprentices.
Brightberry comes up to me "You seem troubled" she says "What is it?"
"It's nothing..." I say and continue toward the leaders' den. "Shadowstep," I say greeting the grey eyed deputy "Is Echostar awake?"
"No not yet anyway." She responds.
"Now I am!" Echostar says slinking out of his den. He comes over to me.
"We need to talk." I mutter.
He nods and motions for me to follow him with his tail. We enter his den. "What is it?" He asks cleaning himself.
"Well I- I had another vision." I say "It struck some more cats or it will. Those Long Past showed me." I shudder "It almost killed one of them."
Echostar stops and turns to me.
