On Earth, a planet whose rational population mostly consists of humans, mythical animals are prosectuted and killed merely because they are magical. Seven humans, elevated in rank and each "representing" their home continent, command the entire human race. They have commanded each human over the age of 15 to carry a weapon of some sort, only for the use of killing magical beings. These seven people are so committed to their job that they have renamed themselves after the continents they represent. Their names have become Canada, Namerica, Samerica, Antarctica, Europe, Asia, and Africa. (Totally not original but I don't care.)

Name: Shade (Come on, she's a mythical animal. She's going to have an abstract name... Eh, this one isn't that bad.)
Nickname: Kamakazi
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Species: Grade 1 Were-shifter
Magical property: Can control fire, water, and electricity, but is best known for becoming a shapeshifter when exposed to the light of a full moon. Grade 1 were-shifters can supress this transformation, but Grade 2 and 3 were-shifters cannot.
Charrie Appearance: Usually appears as a grey-eyed red-brown-haired 15 year old girl who looks normal from a distance, but upon closer examination a person can see that there is a tiny, shining, silver star on the outside of each of the knuckles of her index fingers, indicating that she is a were-shifter. That star is also why she always wears fingerless gloves. Average height, athletic build, kinda curvy, a peircing gaze that usually keeps people from looking her in the eye.
Personality: Has a quick, imaginative, strategic mind, confident, independent, decicive, hard-working, determined, a jack-of-all-trades. Her nickname is Kamakazi because she will go to any limit for what she believes in.
Ships: Yes, to a boy. However, part of her personality is that she is clueless in romance.

Thank you, Neko! *Charming smile* A quite major detail that I just came up with: The scientists of this era have figured out how to harness moonlight, and often jar it up in tiny, translucent bottles that hang around the neck. It's a moonlight necklace for the detection of were-beings. Not to mention mud covered swords, for the slaying of hydras and such, glasses that make everything beautiful and reflect images for the slaying of gorgons, stuff like that.

Apperence: in human form, she looks like a normal, 13 year old girl, with long, wavy black hair, and beautiful silver eyes. she always wears long black jeans with a black tank top and a black denim jacket. in her dragon form, she has huge, silver/black wings and silver eyes and a silver/black body

Age: Immortal as long as her forest stands.
Gender: Female
Species: Grade 1 Tree spirit
Magical property: Can control nature and communicate with trees. Her powers are strongest in the forests she was raised in, but she can still use them in others.
Charrie Appearance: Has a human-like build but taller and more graceful. Messy long brown hair and large green eyes. Vines and flowers grow around her.
Personality: Not used to socialization, often daydreaming and distant but can be wise about practical matters. However, when you do get her to talk to you, she is condescending and sarcastic. She cares deeply for the forest and animals and will defend them harshly.
