I was looking back at old RPs, and I found that I particularly enjoyed Claaws's Spirit Animal RP. I considered what I liked and it's flaws. I am using some of the ideas from the RP (if you see this, Claaws and former members of the RP, let me know if this is ok!), as well as using some of my own.
In a world that looks almost exactly like ours, there is something peculiar. In history books, they mention lost texts about magic, and modern magic. Magic, unfortunately, is feared. A thousand years ago, the "Shadow King" terrorized the continent with dragon blood, which gave him magical abilities. Magic can only be gained by blood or artifical means, which made the humans very weak against his powers. The Shadow King killed all he considered a threat, and was killed by King Quentin Thorn and Queen Theresa Thorn, who crowned themselves the new lord of the realm. The Thorn King and Queens have ruled since that time peacefully, and hunted down everyone with magical abilities.
Yet in every hundred thousand individuals, they are born with animal magic. They are known as Anima. Anima are considered dangerous outlaws, and will be hunted down if their abilities are discovered by the Thorn Kings. Anima can change into their spirit animal, and each have a unique magic associated with it in addition to their ability to speak to their animal species. Anima live very long, yet many get hunted down before reaching their full magical potential. The password is "spina rosas". An Anima of the past called Crow is famous for his skill, abilities, and age, yet some rumors say he still lurks in the forests. Everyone in school is taught to fear magic and learn to hunt down anyone who possesses it. It is uncertain how people become Anima, for even one who is kept far away from magic can become one.
Currently, there is news of an Anima rebellion, hidden somewhere in the realm to demand to the king to not hunt down Anima. The King has formed the Hunter's League in response, training skilled Anima hunters to put them down.
If you are an Anima, you can be already with the rebellion, or going around your normal life. Maybe you've joined the Hunter's League unaware of your powers.
You can have as many as two charries. Do be specific with the animal, and no two people can have the same animal(it can be a similar species, but not the same). If it is a domestic animal, do include what breed it is. Do not be too broad (ex. beetle), but mentioning a specific subspecies is not necessary. As long as we understand what the general shape and appearance of the animal is.
If you are a human, do remove the sections below that say "animal" and "animal appearance".
All characters going about their normal life and not with the rebellion would begin in Fountain Point High School. I will help push the story along once we begin.

Is it possible for the spirit animal to be a hybrid mythical animal? *Hearts appear in eyes and becomes nonaccessable from daydreaming about favorite mythical animals to ship or (sharp intake of breath) COME UP WITH* Also does spina rosas mean spine of the rose in some language? Like a thorn? *Snickers*

Spina rosas is Latin for thorns, but I used google translate, so it may not be the most acurate translation. XP

Name: She tells people she doesn't trust that it's Charis Toring, but her real name is Zan Miaskovsky.

Animal: Gray wolf
Personality: Very introverted, observant, very intelligent, terrible with social skills and trusting people. Comes across as a bit surly and never talks more than she wants to. She has a naturally quiet speaking voice with a slightly scratchy note to it. Unless she is absolutely the angriest she could possibly be, she would be very disinclined to raise her voice. A terrible liar, and one of the most honest people you will ever meet, she just never talks much.
Human appearance: Long, straight, dark-brown hair, jagged-edged diagonal bangs that she flicks out of her eyes a lot, pale complexion, deep brown eyes.
Animal appearance: Thick, shaggy gray fur, deep amber eyes, black left hind paw and a crescent moon-shaped scar on her right shoulder with white hair growing around the edge
Skills: She's good at transforming, and seems highly intelligent for a wolf. It's mainly the eyes.
Background: Secret for the moment.

Animal: Stallion Horse
Personality: Brave, adventerous, loving, kind. Sometimes doesn't pay attention and takes things a little litiral. Super smart. She loves art and writing and reading but is very quiet.
Human Appearance: Long, burnett hair and hazel eyes. Wears a navy blue sweatshirt and purple jeggings with shiny black hightops.
Animal Apperance: Neat brow coat with white speckles here and there. Has black eyes and a black mane and hooves. She has a white diamond on her forehead that hasa tiny blue star.
Skills: Is good at predicting things and comes up with great plans.
Background: Doesn't like to talk about it. It's too sad.

Ummm, a stallion is a male horse. Because your charrie is female, I would SUGGEST that it should be a mare instead of a stallion. ;D

Name: Aerron (Ay-rawn) Teotoni
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Animal: I'll just name it in the drawing...
Personality: A fierce fighter when confronted, you would definitely want her as you ally. Introverted, intuitive, thoughtful, assertive, analyzing (cold and calculating), creative, strategic, independent, decisive, hard-working, determined.
Human Appearance: Fair skin, freckles across her nose, grey eyes, red-brown hair, a silver star on the base of her neck, usually keeps her wings and tail unshifted, but if she goes into public then she shifts into complete human form.
Animal Appearance: You'll see in the drawing.
Skills: Very good at transformation, lithe and graceful, amazing body control, flexible, strong.
Background: Used to have a little brother, who was a dragon anima, but he was found out and killed while she was away looking for food for them. Aerro hates normal humans for that and is very slow to trust anyone unless they show her that they are an anima, but even then she is still hesitant.

Animal: hmmm...should I stick with Jaguar or something else..? Hmmmm Jaguar it is
Personality: Kind, loyal, extremely cat-like as in randomly hisses at people and gets defensive over nothing. Hates getting up in the morning. Has ADHD and anxiety, but rarely shows it. Extrovert. Outgoing. Natural leader. Loves the night and has insomnia. Good at keeping quiet even if she doesn’t want to. A fighter to the end, will never run from a challenge. Head strong and stubborn. Looks at the hole picture and not just the details. Protected, protective, distant often.
Apperance: small girl strong build. Deep whitish brown skin with freckles and silky reddish brown hair. Lengthy legs and arms. Large lips big eyes wears makeup but not to much, usually with flowy clothes. Blazing green ‘luminescent’ Eyes that are sort of misty.
Animal look thing: brown tinted red fur with beautiful tan to light golden brown spots and same eyes. Fangs often bared.
Skills: has never shifted before and unaware of her power. Would be a powerful fighter and strategist. Graceful and a quiet stalker. A jaguars bite can crack the skull of anything basically.
Background: Adopted mother treats her horrible. Was in the foster system from 2-13, after her mother and father mysteriously died. Woman adopted her because she needed someone to help out around her house. Has been to atleast seven foster homes. Might have a brother.

Name: Kailen Nightshade
Age: 15
Animal: Panther
Personality: Fiesty, determined and stubborn. Clever and caring, but prefers to be alone rather than with other people. Can sometimes appear sullen or antisocial because of introverted personality. Trusts nobody except close friends.
Gender: Male
Human Appearance: tall and strong with broad shoulders. Has peircing yellow eyes and and thick, long black hair. Has a long scar running down his left cheek, visible in both human and animal form.
Animal Appearance(shared markings, coloration, etc.): Inky black fur with a white star shape behind his left ear. Has the same scar on his cheek and peircing yellow eyes that almost have a hypnotic effect.
Skills(do include how well he/she is at transforming if Anima): Kailen is a fantastic archer and hunter, and has a reputation in the village for his steady hand and quick reflexes. When he was a child and first discovered his ability, Kailen could not transform at will, but rather gained that skill by practicing in secret.
Background: Kailen has been raised to fear and destroy Anima, as all young children had. He is forced to hide his ability from the public and not even his own parents know. Knowing them, they would just as likely turn him in to the kingdom for the prize money than help him keep his secret if he was discovered. He prefers to live life normally, not knowing the full extent of his powers, therefore has not yet joined the Anima rebellion.

Hey a panther is not it’s own species it’s actually a genetic mutation in jaguars or leopards or cougars! Crazy I know! Just like white tiger and lions aren’t really their own species. (It took me awhile to discover this Incase you couldn’t tell *ahem* as proved by Jay from last time lol)

Gender: female
Animal: dove
Personality: devoted, strong, wise. A bit quiet and a kind heart. Graceful and sly. Polite. Protective. Stands up for what she believes in. Brave.
Human appearance: long, silvery blonde hair in a ponytail, large grey eyes with a hint of blue, small nose. Simple clothes. Short.
Animal appearance: small white dove, perfectly straight(e.g no feathers out of place), small grey marking on stomach.
Skills: transforms smoothly, just with some flashes of white light, shoots bow and arrow with painstaking accuracy.
Background: her father was killed because he was an Anima. Lives with her Mom, older brother and younger sister. She is the only other Anima in the family.

Human Apperance: She's small for her age, with long straight, brown hair. She has huge dark blue eyes and bags underneath her eyes.
Animal Appearance: A spotted owl
Skills: Talented
Background: When she was two she and her older brother were playing. During this both of them turned into animals and her brother ran off into the woods. Terrified her parents didn't tell her what happened and have been keeping her safe from the athorities.
