Hello, hopeless romantic! I'm kinda in the same boat. I constantly catch my crush staring at me in church (he goes to church and youth group with me), and when he passes out bulletins (little slips of paper which tell you what's going on with the church events and stuff) at the door, when I come up to him, he smiles really big as he gives me a bulletin. I really don't know what to do, but I just act natural while watching him out of the corner of my eye. We're both introverts, but I'm waiting for him to do something. I kind of have this brokenheartphobia, and so... Yeah. The ships that I plan are all what I always hope will happen to me. I'm a fresh(wo)man in high school now, and he is too. We're both homeschooled. I don't know what to do with myself. :{

I'm in the same boat, and I told my crush I liked them, and they became distant for around 2 weeks then they became slowly closer to before, we now talk easily and they seem to have forgotten, I catch them staring at me in class, and I normallt smile cheekily at them, an they smile back. 7th grade just ended for me and I am going to see them soon, for a party! I'm nervou, but some advice for you, be yourself! If they don't like the read you you don't deserve them! You beautiful anonymous person! :)

One of my poor friends, she walked up to her crush and was about to tell him she liked him when he spoke first and asked her for advice on telling this other girl he liked her. She was (ha) crushed.

Your problems have nothing on mine. First, I had a crush on a kid named NAR, and she just basically didn't agnolege (what is my spelling) it at all. We're still friends. They know I like them and we just don't talk about it. (Also yes, I'm gay, which makes finding a true love a little trickier)

That went much better than my other attempt. The conversation when I tried to tell them I liked them went something like this:

Me: Can I ask you a weird question?

Chase: Go ahead. 

Me: Are you straight?

Chase: That is weird.

Avery(Chase's best friend): She's bendy!

Chase: Ya, I'm bent!

Me: I'm serious!

Chase: I am too!

Me: *facepalms* Do you like girls romantically? 

Chase: That is a weird question. Why do you ask?

Me: Because you're very pretty.

*Chase wordlessly leaves and is still giving me death glares a

month later*

So yeah. Sorry hopeless, but I don't think I could help you. We're all in the same leaky boat painted with hearts that have arrows through them.

This might be a bit late, but in case it's not, try bantering as usual and then in the most appropriate pause (don't wait too long, mind you), either say you think you like him, like like him like him, or ask him if they like you. If you ask and he asks why, say it's because you (optional: kind of) like him. Be sure you're safe from prying eyes and/or ears but that you have an escape route in case things get too awkward. Also make sure you have a way to hang out or talk regularly over the summer.

You could try giving them a note? That gives you the option of giving it to them in person or putting it in their locker (although make sure you know their locker combination before doing this), or in a backpack or a pencil case. I've never asked anybody out/told them that I like them myself, but one of my friends left me a note, and though I'm bi I wasn't really interested in her in that way so I had to let her down, but we're still good friends.
