I'm writing a story about a girl named Emily who goes through a door into the Other World of faeries. She goes into a pub and is running her fingers around the intricate design on the menu. What happens next? What does she order?

How about that she orders a special drink, but when she drinks it she is transported to the world of Faerie. Or she doesn't order anything, but when she touches design, there's a flash of light. She wakes up in a Faerie house. Just some ideas.

I know that this is way late, but how about she remembers the design, wakes up in the middle of the night, and draws it in the dark?  Then, she later finds something that needs the design to open it and it leads to Faerieland?  As for the order, what is the time period?  Where does she live?  Myself, I swear by fish and chips as a good-for-all-story-plots food.
