This is my first solo write! I'm so excited to bring the world of Thedoor! I'll try my best to post once a week at the minimum, and I'll post when I'll be taking breaks. I'll appreciate any feedback about my writing!

Oo cool!
Name: Joseph Collins
Age: Around 29 or 30 he doesn’t really know
Gender: M
Magical Ability: He can bend shadows and drain light from any place
Appearance: Dark brown hair almost black, soft hazlenut eyes, 5’9”, a kind face, quite nimble and agile, a tallish build, usually wares more professional clothing, has a clean look to him
Personality: Kind, soft spoken, genuine, but definitely not naive or a push over. He is very observant and is quite smart. He can be strict at times though he tends not to be. Loyal and a detailed kind of fella.
Backround: He was adopted from Romania when he was about eight or nine to a kind couple in their sixties. He was then raised normally and now his (adopted) parents are in their eightys. He loves them both dearly
Other: Can he be a teacher at the school or something?

Name: Noelle Chandler
Age: 15
Gender: F
Magical Ability: Noelle can create and manipulate ice, snow, frost, anything frozen, and freeze water to a limited extent.
Appearance: Straight, silky black hair about 5 inches past her shoulders, diagonal bangs with somewhat jagged edges, pale skin, ice-blue eyes, usually wears all black (So... um, yes. Emo.)
Personality: Noelle is very introverted, and seems... well, icy on the outside. She has a very hard time with social stuff, is hard to meet or talk to, and comes across as surly, and slightly stand-offish. She never says more than she has to, always answering in the briefest possible manner. She isn't short-tempered, exactly, but she's not super patient either. If she isn't happy, or something is wrong, she always tries to hide it and shrug people off. Noelle is also super smart, and very observant.
Background: Her parents died when she was a baby. Her dad was a Polish immigrant, and her mother was Welsh. Noelle taught herself Polish and Welsh by herself, and has been stuck in a children's home her whole life, and she desperately wants a place where she can fit in, but won't admit it.
Other: Oh, nothing.

I will try to put everyone who made a charrie into the story, even if it might be later on! I might make some changes to the characters to fit into the story. If you want to tell me what your mark of magic would be and where, let me know.

After homeroom, the bell rung to tell us that we will move on to our next classroom. I started off with Math, one of the most gruelling and uninteresting subjects by the sound of groaning as they entered. The teacher seemed really nice and young to be a teacher, and introduced himself as Mr. Collins.
"As you know, you probably all don't like math." he began. "But I am determined to change your mind! I'll let you talk with the people around you until you go to second period. You'll be in this classroom with these people for the rest of the school year, so I suggest you get to know them."
Feeling awkward, I went up to the first person I saw.
"HI!" I said a bit too loudly at her. Her brown hair, twirled around when she looked at me. Her eyes were wide in fear and she had taken a step back.
"Sorry. What's your name?" I ask.
"A-Aya." she said, and I swore for a moment her entire hand disappeared.
"Are you new here?" I said a bit too enthusiastically.
"She was here since sixth grade." said another who came up to us. She had teal highlights that stook out out of her brown hair. Everything about her was very bright-colored. "I'm Bleu, Bleu Shasta by the way." She turned to Aya. "So you're finally socializing! Horay!" Bleu says.
"I guess." Aya says, shrugging.
"Have you heard of a conspiracy going around lately?" Bleu says, turning to me.
"I haven't." I said, curious.
"I like to call it code kitten, or dash dot dash, dot dot, dash, dash, dot, dash dot."
"I don't see how morse code has anything to do with it I don't understand it."
"Well I do!" Bleu twirls around. "They say that there are magicians in hiding all around us! You can never tell who is one until they reveal their powers. Some say there is an underground network of magicians hiding in secluded areas. I guess it's something like Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, or Hogwarts."
"Th-that's nice." I say. If humans really knew that magicians could be hiding in plain sight, if I were to be in a hospital, they could possibly see my magic mark, and-
"Chill out." Aya said quietly. I realised I had panicked a moment.
The bell rings.
"Want to hang out later?" I ask.
"Sure! Meet us at the old ash tree, it's the largest on campus." said Bleu.
We all gather our stuff and leave. I felt like school could be the worst or the best time of my life.
