1. Do you ever have an OC that you point at and say, "Every bad thing I think of will happen to you, no matter what it is."
My favorite OC, Two of Diamonds is that OC for me. He's that shy kid who's really sweet and doesn't like to talk to many people. That's mainly because my "bad guy" character is his sister, which is kind of a problem because he sort of has an okay relationship with her, like they don't talk but they don't especially hate each other. He's the OC I would probably put in animatics for "Burn" (From Hamilton) or "Demons" (By Imagine Dragons) because they're both kinda sad and really deep.
2. Your OC storylines are so tangled up it's a mess.
A lot of my OCs are AU-Hoppers, so it confuses me at what AU they're in at any given point of time. Sci-Lu, one of my lesser OCs, travels between three worlds mainly, and whenever I'm writing a story that uses all three universes, I forget where she is and she winds up popping up in random places and random times.
3. You have to create worlds for your OCs to live in.
I mostly make fantasy OCs. To save time, I made them all live in the same AU, which sort of ties into the second point. I have a world that's a home base for every AU in existence (Sorta Mary-Sue-ish but not really... Alternate dimensions can be that way, right?) and a world that's like a mythical place. There's of course this world, that like 2 of my stories are based in, and a world that's basically a three-pack of worlds.
4. Your OC designs get mixed up.
Yeah. I redisigned four of my OCs a few months ago and found myself drawing them with the old designs because I totally forgot what the new designs look like. So now I have to make new reference art that makes them fit their personalities better and make sure their powers are in order.
5. Same face syndrome/Same body syndrome
You design a new OC. Then you realize you already have an OC with that same face and general expression. Now you have to reconfigure that part of your new OC so that it's more unique. I like to think that I have a generally good variety of OCs, but when I look closer, Autum Falls looks a lot like Sketch, Leah Winter looks like Rainbow Tourmaline, and Six of Clubs has the same hair and eye shape as Obsidian. Most of my OCs also have the same general body shape and face shape.

your OCs have complex relationships with other people, and your sidekicks usually have a hard time learning to depend on others, giving the leader quite a bit of work, although your main is hardly ever your leader. Wow, that was a huge run on sentence. Sorry.

Whenever I draw characters, unless I'm consciously going against what I do naturally, they all look like me. I don't know if I'm really vain or what, but that's what happens.
Also, AE cliches are something I've been wanting to talk about for a while. To me, there are really four main types.
1. The emo antisocial AE
cloud's here, in transition
2. The bookish calm AE
3. The exitable crazy AE
and 4. The cute young exuberant CAPTCHA. Pzun's here
Of course, all AEs are different, but I just noticed these basic patterns. Since AEs are made to be a hidden aspect of their CBers, I wonder if this reveals a thing about the personality of all the people on here...
