Spectrum 4 (Aka another murder game)
Another season of Spectrum has come and gone. You know what this means! Probably not though. It isn't like an iconic game yet, but... we're getting there!
If you are still unfamiliar with Spectrum, I'm just gonna give you the link to a page where the 2 paragraphs of rules are posted: http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/inkwell/node/347508
If you didn't figure it out yet, this a thread for a new Murder Game! Again, the link explains everything. However, if you still have questions, feel free to ask anything!
Once again, all you need to do to enter is just post saying that you want to! Once all 6 spots fill up, I'll post our new cast of characters (or colors, more accurately) along with your items, and your scenario. Cockleburr, Tuxedo, and Kitten, if you're still here, please say so! If not, I'm probably eventually gonna have to give your spots away. Anyway, anybody is still welcome to join! We cleared some confusion up last game, so hopefully this game will be more fun!

Yeah, sorry about that!

Red Cockleburr~
As Tuxedo and Allie move the body to a more respectful place in a cabin I stay behind to investigate. The murderer must be still on board, meaning they could strike again at any time. The thought gives me chills. Who could it be?
As I walk slowly around the room a sudden wave makes the floor jolt. I stumble, grabbing for a metal pole attached to the wall as the vessel rocks again, throwing me against a bookshelf. I try to lurch away but I slip in the swaying room and fall. My head hits the bookshelf with a bang and I slide to the floor. A snatch of green on the shelf above me catches my eye and I reach for it, but before I can take a closer look something falls from the celing, missing me by inches. It sticks point down in the deck, quivering: A needle with a slip of blue thread attached to the eye.
Leeli with the needle?
(December 18, 2017 - 9:44 am)
Red examines the peculiar-looking needle, but is abruptly blinded by some bright light. Red holds up a forearm to block the light, and realizes he is being blinded by moonlight. A swirling circle of fog has opened around the moon, completely blocking the rest of the sky. Could this be a sign? This case was far from over of course, but- had Red guessed one of his two suspicions correctly?

As Orange walked around the engine room he saw a rubber mallet bouncing around in a small cabinet. The mallet was white so he couldn't decipher any clues about whodunnit. Orange looked under the sofa. Nothing. He looked under the engine. Nothing. he looked at the Captain's arm where there was a bleeding slit. Orange then looked under the Captain's head where he found: A) a bruise and B) a small slip of -yellow- paper with a note in suspicously red ink. The note read:
He was Warned.
Now you have been Warned.
XOXO from Do you seriously think i'd TELL you?
Orange shivered and looked at Yellow suspicously.
Yellow-Tuxedo Kitten- with the rubber mallet?
(December 18, 2017 - 11:05 pm)
Orange clutches the note in his hand, only to see it disappear into thin air. A hallucination? Already? Orange was losing it, he knew that for a fact... (-1life)

-Blue-
As a few others gather around the captains body and began to move him, I wander off to the bow of the boat and peer into the water. I think I see something floating there. And then a bright light illuminates the boat behind me. I turn to see a circle of fog around the moon. I sign. And I notice Red staring at me from across the boat. What does she know that I don't? Hoping to direct attention away from myself, I glance down into the water again, but whatever I though was there before was gone. I turn once more and look at Red. She's now staring at a needle that's stuck through the boards of the deck. It appears to have blue thread in it.
Blue thread.
I shake the thought away. It only looks blue from this distance. Then, a large wave pours over the side of the boat. It isn't very big, but big enough to leave a small puddle on the floorboards. Something glints at the bottom of the puddle. I lean down and look closer. It appears to be a large embroidery needle, painted orange.
Did Orange murder the captain with the needle?
(December 19, 2017 - 12:40 pm)
In her paranoia, Blue fumbles what seemed to be a needle. The tiny object clatters to the wooden deck. Blue looks to find blood streaming down her hand. The tiny object, which turned out to be simply sea glass, cut her hand. This was madness... (-1 life)

Yellow-
I wash my hands from touching that... body. I shiver. Why, of all boats, this one has murder on it. I step out of the bathroom, and adjust my black leather coat, and tighten my pony tail. I walk out to the deck to where all the , *cough* detectives are. I notice a man in orange. He is examining a yellow slip of Paper. He glances my way suspiciously... why is he looking at me?? It should be Allie hes looking at. She looked very nervous when we dragged the Captain’s body away.
Is it Allie with the drill?
Ps sorry this is so short...
(December 19, 2017 - 2:33 pm)
Before Yellow can make any more deductions, a huge wave crashes onboard, sweeping her off her feet. She took it as an obvious bad omen. Maybe she should try something else, after all, she wouldn't give up! Not yet, anyway... (-1 life)
(December 19, 2017 - 6:25 pm)
I look at the body, nervous. I've never seen a dead body before, let alone touched one, so lookin at it made me feel sick. I look around the cabin to see some exotic-looking blue flowers. I almost touch them, but right before I do, I notice that they're a poisonus kind! Those shouldn't be on a ship, I think. Could it be Leeli with the poisonus flowers?

Purple looks on all sides of the mysterious plant, and after a little while, finds a golden coin embedded in its leaves. She carefully removes the coin which her trusty tweezers, and holds it up to the light. It was real, all right. Although not really much of a definite clue, it could probably be some kind of good omen. But if that was true...
Purple thinks of the most likely suspect. Blue. It had to be blue. Of course, she didn't have any final evidence, but that doesn't mean Purple couldn't trust her gut. Purple scrambles to alert the others. If blue was the murderer like she thought, the rest of the 6 were sitting ducks.
MURDER PHASE
If you made it this far, then you probably know what this means! Investigators, it's time to pick up the pace! And Blue? It's time to do your thing... *Evil Laugh*
(December 20, 2017 - 7:03 pm)
My thing, eh? Mwahahahahaha...
-Blue-
I walk slowly down the deck toward the cabins. Then I pass purple. She's across the deck from me, and when she catches my eye, her eyes get big. She walks faster. She knows.
I had hoped that by looking for clues myself, I might deter attention. They might suspect someone else if I found a false lead. I honestly don't know why I did what I did to the captain. I don't want to have to do it again to someone else.
But I might have to.
I start to walk faster, following Purple. The others can't know, and she's going to tell them. I pull a tranquilizer from my coat and aim at her leg. Then I shoot. She turns and sees me, letting out a small squeak of pain before she crumples to the ground, unconscious. I trot over to her and haul her up off the deck. Then I drag her painstakingly to the edge of the boat. With one last look, I thro her overboard. The tranquilizer will last half an hour. But she'll be sleeping with the fishes by then.

Purple is dead. Sorry Allie. Nothing personal. ;-) A murderer's gotta do what a murderer's gotta do, ya know?

Red Cockleburr~
I hear a loud splash and creep towards it, peering around. The only person I see is Blue, stuffing something into her jacket. I gasp involuntarily and she spins around, snatching it out again.
"Who's there?" To my alarm, she starts walking towards me. I duck into a nearby head and hold my breath, admittedly more from fright than from the stench. She stops just in front of the door and I press myself against the sink to keep out of the light. Appearently satisfied, she strides on purposefully and as she passes I catch a glimpse of the object she was hiding. A gun.
There can be no doubt about it. Blue is the murderer and she is still claiming lives. Her footsteps fade and I extract myself from the head. As I shut the door something blue catches my eye, and I swing it open again. It's the blue handle of a razor, propped on the edge of the sink.
Could Blue have killed the captain with the razor?
