Okay so this is probably going to be a little vague because I basically am going to try and come up with something on the spot almost. Here goes some sort of prologue then!

Prologue~ The Legend of Earaelis~

Long ago, the world of Earaelis was free. It was ruled by five High and Wise beings. Norvelisir, Elf of Light, guarded the East of Earaelis, Korvra, Wizard of storms, guarded the West, Azvaril, Man of shadow, guarded the South, Soraelyn, Nymph of the air, guarded the North, and Evralaesil, the Highest being of the world, ruled over them all. The five Guardians governed and cared for their world with wisdom and goodness, but it was not to last.

A half elf, Vordrim, was angry and bitter, having been cast out of first the society of Men, and then elves because of his thirst for power and glory. He was not truly evil, but when he began studying and practicing the dark art of Necromancy, it twisted the purity in his heart. Both Men and Elves refused to accept him, and cast him into a dungeon deep underground in the South. There, Vordrim sulked and smoldered while plotting to overthrow the Guardians and take up the rule of Earaelis himself. 

After years of practicing Necromancy in his dark cell, Vordrim gathered his strength and broke out of prison. In the climax of his might, he overthrew the Guardians and cast Earaelis into Shadow. In a last desperate attempt to keep their freedom, the races of the world rallied together. They fought valiantly against the Dark army that Vordrim had amassed. The two sides raged against each other for more than a day, when finally a young man called Ordelan struck Vordrim a mortal blow. At that moment, the earth began to tremble, and a huge chasm split the ground, swallowing Vordrim whole. 

His Dark army fled, and peace was established once more. But the Guardians were already dead, and the rise of Vordrim had taken its Dark toll on the land of Earaelis. Fields had been laid bare by bloodshed, and a shadow of the former Darkness would always remain.

Now the Elven folk have disappeared and The greatness of Man has diminished greatly. No longer does anyone fight injustice or go questing. The wisdom the people of Earaelis once had is all but gone, and magic is almost nonexistent. And yet one spark of light may remain, though hidden deep....
