Chatterbox: Inkwell

Hello Peoples! I'm new to this place! My friends introduced me to this website and it is awesome so far! I'm writing a book for NaNoWrimo. I want to get some feedback for a chapter that I think I should post. (It's not the entire chapter.) So yea lol. i'll start it now.

Kyle sat up in his bed. He looked around the dark void of a room. It was pitch black. His eyes got used to the darkness quickly. "This scene feels familiar." He thought to himself. His eye caught something standing by his doorway. It was a dark figure. It seemed to look like a child. The thing had hair about the length to it's shoulders. It was holding something in its hand. Kyle couldn't make out what is was. It started tiptoeing towards him. It was whispering something that he couldn't make out. "Can I help you?" Kyle asked wondering if it was friendly. The creature stopped, tilted its head, and started laughing like there's no tomorrow. "Oh so it is friendly!" Kyle thought to himself. Feeling accomplished that he could make someone laugh, for no reason. "Well you saw through my disguise!" Said the creature. "Wow I've never seen someone as friendly as you before. They snapped and the lights turned on. It was a young girl. She had brown hair and a purple shirt on. Her eyes were a deep green color. "Hey! My name's Kyle! What's yours?" Kyle asked waiting for a response. "My name? Hmmmm. I don't think I have one." She thought furiously. "You don't have a name? Weird." Kyle wondered. "Anyways take my hand and I'll show you who I am!" They said. "Oh. Ok!" Kyle said trusting his new friend
