IT'S HERE! THE EVENT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR! The esteemed, the--

Yeah, NaNoWriMo's happening next month, so I created this thread to share story excerpts, ask for advice, give advice, and go crazy. ...Well, if you don't want to partake in the latter, that's fine. Please share your  Synopsis here and some excerpts. If you've created your own cover art, I'd love to see it.

I'll be posting my own Synopsis when the thread goes up! ;3

Awesome!! My novel is about a girl named Kate who lives in an orphanage. She is forced to take care of a strange deaf boy named Como. However, what she really wants to do is write a novel, but she can't seem to find the right words. Until one night when she can. But instead of writing the book about the strange boy, the lost princess, and the talking koala that she had planned to write, she begins writing about herself. She has absolutely no idea why, but it just feels right. When her hands begin to glow strangely, she panics and runs to Como for help, not being able to wake up her best friend and roommate, Marda. Attracted by the strange glow of Kate's hands, a terrifying monster chases Kate and Como across the moonlit fields of the orphanage. Como confidentally leads Kate, who has never been in them during the night, through the dense woods and to a magical spring which is the portal between Earth and a mirror world called (Unnamed). The livelyhood of the entire populace of (unnamed) is threatened by a cruel Warlock and they need Kate's help. Soon Kate and Como are on a full-fledged adventure along with a grumpy castle guard, Jesse. They must unite the seven Guardians to defeat the Warlock. Can they do it?

The legend becomes reality when Feng's grandfather, a master story teller, dies and leaves him with an important task. He must find the four other members of the Wang force, before his world collapses because of war.

So, basically, this is a Chinese version of Avatar. Yep. Oh, and there's definetly some Grace Lin element.

Yes, check out NaNoWriMo's Young Writers Program! Kids of any age can participate. Just type NaNoWriMo YWP into your search bar and it should come up as the first result.

I am writing a story about the adventures of a girl who is banished from her home town for the same reason her parents where- because she is a shapeshifter. At night, she transforms into a pure white wolf. She must go out on her own with only her fathers magical compass to guide her across the vast land...

I was doing so good. All through the year I stuck with my story, The Five Doors. I had gotten so far. I had planned to use this for NaNo. But...I couldn't help it. Inspiration struck. So now I'm doing something else. No, not another unfished story. I actually started another one. *sighs* Who knows if I'll ever actually finish one. Anyway, I'll post the synopsis later.

Last year, I planned my novel perfectly, and it ended up with me at 11 PM on the last day finally reaching 50,000, but the story had taken a turn for the worse. So I'm going to be more of a plantser this year and loosely establish things. Here's my synopsis so far--

Âmethu is a world ruled by a single queen and several political parties. Magic is known, accepted, and treated as the norm. Laws are installed to keep magic in order....but....

But behind the scenes, horrible things are happening. Hunts are happening across the nation. Horizons try to hide before they become fully known.

No single person alone can stop this. But together......

They still can't.

      But they're willing to try.

Here's my cover, made to look like a younger person drew it with what they had available, with loose, hurried lines (I did it with my new drawing tablet, too)--

Wow, everyone's story ideas are so great! My novel is tentatively titled, "Don't Die or I'll Kill You", and is a ridiculous sci-fi superhero story. The summary I put on NaNo is, "A broke journalist living with her eccentric uncle, Peyton's life is thrown into chaos after a witnessing a robbery. Immortal hamsters? Magical murders? Telekinetic baristas? Nothing is what it seems."

I'm trying my hand at satirical humor, and while there is a definite plot, it's also more lighthearted than a lot of my other stories, poking fun at the genre, and discussing how superheroes and villains balance their double lives. I'm pretty excited!

I'm working on a synposis for my novel right now. I am currently thinking about a character in a dystopian world who stumbles upon magic, which of course, changes everything. I'll post my synposis as soon as it's ready. What do you think of the idea?
