Chatterbox: Inkwell

Wolf Pack RP!!

I was looking around on Pinterest and saw some really cool wolf art which inspired me to make this! I don't have a plot yet, so I thought we could just write then see what happens.

So Im thinking this is going to be a bit like the Warrior cats series except with wolves. In a forest. With no cars and people and stuff. There will be packs (duh) of wolves such as the:

Sirus Pack: Very bold, not afraid to speak their mind,  the biggest and strongest pack, but slower thinkers. Most of the time acts and talks without thinking but stands up for what's right... most of the time. A little arrogant.

Appearance: Thick fluffy fur. Color varies from dark grey to red.

Where they live: In a large sunny clearing in the Bright Woods.

Alde Pack: Underdogs. Shy, pushovers, but kind and compassionate. Very loyal, and trust each other very much. Good community wolves. Can be bold for what they think is right every once in awhile. The smallest pack, but have big hearts.

Appearance: Smooth fur, not very thick. Color is mostly grey and brown.

Where they live: In the Raven mountains, in the rocks. Their headquarters is a cave on the other side of the river.

Acamar Pack: Intelligent, independent, fierce, loyal to the end. The second largest pack. Upholds the wolf law.

Appearance: Silky, coarse fur. The main colors are tan, light grey and dusty brown.

Where they live: They live near a river that runs down Raven mountains. A few trees dot the mountain, is about half a mile from the Bright Woods.

Acrab Pack: Underhanded, smart, and not trustworthy. Charming and sly. But the pack is very loyal to one another and has a good relationship with each other.

Appearance: Coarse thick fur. Colors very in darker shades like dark grey, black, brown and light brown.

Where they live: A wide field next to Crisp Lake which is on the border of Bright woods.

I'm going to start with Saiph.

~Saiph~

Dark clouds loomed in the horizon as two wolves trotted briskly to get back to their packs. Lyta, a beautiful grey and white she wolf, glanced at the sky with distrust.

"We have to get back, Saiph. Those clouds don't look to good and I must get back to my pack. They'll be worried."

Her brother snorted. "It's only a little grey cloud!"

Lyra gave Saiph a look that said, "Really? You know better."

"On the other paw, I guess we've been gone a long time."

"Good thinking."

"Well this is where I get off! Goodbye Lyta, I'll see you soon."

Saiph gave her a lick.

"Bye Siaph." Replied Lyta

They parted and went on their separate ways.

~~~
The large oak trees moaned as the wind wildly swept through the forest. The dark clouds had turned into a raging storm in just minutes.
"Bright Woods my eye," Saiph grumbled, "More like The deep dark woods than anything right now!"
As he jogged through the forest towards camp, a ferocious howl filled the air. Suddenly torrents of rain poured from the sky and a bolt of lightning cracked down into the forest, splintering a huge sycamore and split it right in half. Saiph bolted for camp, dodging fallen trees, debris and pine needles, but stopped abruptly, for another menacing howl pierced the air, closer this time. Saiph wildly glanced around him, but all he could see was sheets of rain. Until suddenly a huge wolf like  shape loomed in the distance. Saiph stared at amazement at the beast. It had piercing amber eyes that looked like the setting sun, and thick black fur as dark as the night. Saiph said nothing and yet he could hear something, something drumming, a rhythmic thump, thump, thump that got louder with each strike. Then the beast in the distance suddenly disappeared, but the drumming got louder and louder until Saiph could take it no longer. He whipped around  to see a herd of bison charging strait for him.
~~~p

Saiph woke up with an aching body. He tried to turn and look to see where he was but when he moved he had a sharp pain in his side. His side was bandaged with cobwebs. He tried to stand but his front leg was also damaged and bandaged.

"What is this? I feel like I've been hit by a million ton rock," he yipped.

"Bison, actually." said annall to familiar voice.

"Loki," growled Saiph, "Why may I ask, AM I HERE!"

Loki was a skinny loner that would always stray into Sirus's territory and steal food. He was a pitiful thing, really. He's like the omega for everyone and everything. The only good thing about him is that he knows medicine unlike any other wolf.

"I saw you lying in the mud, with wounds all over ya! I couldn't let you just lie there now could I," He skweeked.

"Well..." Saiph sighed, "Thanks I guess. But enough chit chat, I have to go."

Saiph got up groggily and started limping away from Loki.

"You won't get to far!" Called Loki, "Your leg! It to weak!"

"Well then get over here and help me!"

"All the way to your territory?"

"Yes, now just HELP me and stop TALKING!"

First post!!! YAY!!

Brynn~

I silently run down the small hill of snow. Lyta was the only one who remembered that today I am 34 moons. Well, besides mother and Alethea. It doesn’t matter anyway, I’m only a Beta. I don’t mind though. Lyta at this point has become an older sister to me. But of course, she’s also the pack leader.

I trot for a while, just checking our border, when I catch an unfamiliar scent in the wind. I sniff again and can’t stop the grow that emits from my throat.

Sirus.

I quickly blend in with the snow caped trees as the scent gets even stronger. Eventually, I hear voices and make out figures. Logically, in a fight, I could easily take out the smaller one. I don’t even think he is a part of the Sirus pack. In fact, he looks like that loner that jumps around everywhere. But concerning the other wolf, now that would be a fight. I consider turning back to get Lyta or someone else when suddenly the bigger wolf sniffs the air and looks in my direction. He won’t be able to see me. But I can feel his dark eyes piercing the air around me. I make up my mind. If I run, he might pursue me. I have to confront him.

Taking a large leap with my fur bustled out, I land directly in front of him and snarl. He take a step back as his fur brushes up, a deep growl emitting from his throat. The loner cowers.

“What are you doing in the Acamar territory?” I demand.

Suddenly and abruptly, he sits up and his fur goes back down. “Just finding my way back home,” he says with a sly tone. He’s being almost...cocky. But he’s in our territory! Who does he think he is?

“Funny. Who are you?”

He smirks. “Saiph of Sirus, m’lady. And who might be this fair wolf?”

I force myself to remain calm and let my fur down. “I am Brynn, Beta of Acamar. What’s your rank, Saiph?”

”Lead Hunter.”

My eyes widen. What would a higher rank of Sirus be doing in our territory? This is suspicious.

“Well, Saiph, this will not go down without being talked about. But for the time being, I’ll help you back to your territory.” I look back at the loner. “What is your name?”

”Loki, my Beta,” he says, slightly bowing.

I nod and start walking towards the direction of Sirus. When no pawsteps are heard behind me, I turn around. They still stand there like idiots.

I nod my head forward. “Are you coming?”

Saiph shrugs and walks beside me and Loki trails behind us as we start walking towards the Sirus border. Once we reach it, I nod at them, and before Saiph can say another word, I dash away.

I have a feeling I’ll be seeing his again.

~~

Maybe they can meet again at a hunt? @Esquire’s Ghost, is that okay with you? Also, please feel free to write about their encounter from Saiph’s POV. I’m sorry if I charrie controlled, I’m trying to get a feel of the charries.

Okay, no time to post just now, but there are a couple things I need to clarify about my charrie. I meant for her to be just a Hunter in the Acamar pack, not Lead Hunter. And I kind of realized that black fur makes it a liiittle obvious that she had parents in another pack, so I thought she could be light gray with her lower legs gradually getting darker until the tips of her paws are almost black, and then her eyes could be brilliant green. And I'm really sorry for so much changing up on you guys!!!

The night air is calm, spiked with the sharp scent of pine and rain-soaked ground. The river murmurs gently. I slowly pad my way into the moon lit clearing in front of the cave. For "underdogs" we sure have a great hideout. Sequestered on a small jag in the mountain, the cave has a view that stretches all the way to the dark fringe of Bright Forest. I take a moment to survey the area. There's some movement in the Acamar camp, to the left and down the slope a bit, but that's normal around dusk. i turn back to look at the cave entrance, and signal with a flick of my ears. Glowing spheres slolwy materialize in the thick darkness, merging into gray-brown fur as the hunters slide into the light. It takes another minute of scouting around just to be safe before we merge into a group.

"Nice job." I quickly bow my head in respect as Psych passes. Alpha's aren't overgenerous with statements like that. I have to quickly take my place in the pack, we're already on the move, stealing down the mountainside. Our fur's perfect camouflage, no one notices as we slide through the night, prepared to hunt.

I know almost nothing of wolves actually, so if any of you more-learned people have any comments on how the pack system works, feel free to post it. Or I could ask Wikipedia. Where exactly are we going with this?

ATTENTION: tentative name change; I used to be Shade. @Esquire, I hate hate hate to bail on this, but I am in 8 RPs right now counting the one I made that hasn't popped up yet, and I am simply just too busy. I might still be able to stay in, and I will RP if I can, but no guarantees and this might well be my last post on this thing. I am so so sorry but MY LIFE IS SO NUTTY and I am not sure if I can keep up.
