Chatterbox: Inkwell

A girl sighed as she walked up to her room. It had certainly been a long day.. She just wanted it to be over already. Her mind flashed back to the ridicules. The taunts. 

"You're so stupid."

"You're worthless."

"No one cares what you think." 

"Would you just leave already?!"

The tears rolled down her face as she curled up on her bed. She was tired. Tired of being abandoned. Tired of being betrayed. Tired of existing. Suddenly, a light shined from her phone. Wiping her eyes, she looked down at the glowing gadget. With a few taps on the screen, she was transported to another world, a better world. She traveled back and forth from a wonderful place called Cricket and a welcoming community on Photo Grid. As she lay in her bed each night, she'd forget the ridicules and taunts and instead think of her other world.

"You're so smart!"  

"I'm glad you're my friend."  

"I'll always be here to listen." 

"You're welcome here."  

Every day, she got on her phone and smiled at the comments and cyber hugs sent from dear friends. She had found something new, something she hadn't realized she could ever have. She had found a family.
