Kidnapped RP

Bare with me, guys, I think I just had  a great idea...

So we will have, at most, 14 people involved, 7 of them being the kidnapped, and 7 of them being the investigators. There will be two threads, one of them for the kidnapped, and one of them for the investigators, and they will each plan out together ways to get escape, among themselves (no looking in the other group's thread, it's cheating!). I will spread between both threads, leaving clues and perhaps playing as a character myself. 

Well, it's something new!

Backstory:

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE AN INVESTIGATOR, READ THIS!

You stand, stunned, with your mouth wide open, staring at the blaring headlines on the cover of the daily newspaper. This can't be happening! 7 young people, the youngest being 11, and the oldest being only 17, have been kidnapped in your town. This must be the biggest news ever to occur in Sanderra, a small villige-town on the east coast of Walliams. Nobody knows what caused the kidnapper to take action, but the mayor is looking for a group of people to rescue these innocent citizens and bring them far from harms way. She is offering a large sum of money to somebody willing to go - but that's not what you care about. You scribble a note to your family and pin it on the kitchen table, before marching out the door towards the mayor's estate. Your courage seems to drain from your body with each step you take, and as you bring your trembling fist up high and knock on the mayor's door, you know you may not return home for a long time. But if you do not go, guilt will weigh down your shoulders for the rest of your life. You take a deep breath. You know you can do it.

How can this be happening? One moment you are asleep in your bed, listening to the chirping crickets outside your window, and the next, you are tied up to a palm tree on a tropical island in the middle of the ocean. In the distance, you can just see the coast of Sanderra, your beloved home town. You look around you. Six others can be seen tied to different palm trees around you. You shake your head, waiting for you to wake up. You close your eyes, then open them again. But you are still tied to a palm tree on a tropical ieland in the middle of the ocean. Why do these things always happen to you?
