NOTE: I don't know where this is taking place, as fantasy, sci-fic, and all that is part of the crossover, so I'm going to say Portland, Oregon, just because I live there.
Andi-I was just going through the forest heading for the base camp when the terrain shifted around me. "What the-" I narrowly avoid walking into a wall, swerving around the building. Wait, a building? I was in the forest a few seconds ago. I rub my head, confused. I look for a nearby person, or a map. Aha! I spot a kid of about 12 passing by. I shouldn't just ask someone, though- you never know who'd give you over to the police. Before I can decide, they approach me.
"Pardon me, but do you know where this is?" they ask. They have an English accent. I shrug hopelessly. "Hang on, you don't know? Where are you from? What's your name? Oh g__, what YEAR is it?"
I shouldn't answer, but I feel myself trusting them. "Washington, D.C. Andi. 2073."
"WHAT?"
"I said, I live in Washington D.C, my name's Andi, and it's 2073. Are you hard of hearing or something?"
Quickly, they walk over and try grab a newspaper, arguing with the vendor. "Ah, here! It's 2017!"
Huh? I do what my gut reaction is to most everything that freaks me out- I run.
"Wait! Andi, come back!" the kid yells, but I keep on running.

I'm in the Ravenclaw common room, when suddenly, I'm not. I see a boy nearby who asks me where we are. I ask him where and when he's from, and what his name is.
"Washington, DC, 2037, Andi," he says. I stare at him.
"What, are you hard of hearing or something? I'm from Washington, DC, in 2037, and my name is Andi," he says.
I run over to a newspaper stand and argue with the worker for a minute before seeming the paper.
"It's 2017, and this is Portland, Oregon," I tell Andi. He runs away. "Wait! Come back!" I tell at him, to no avail. Whatever. I just have to figure out why I'm here and how I can get back. But it's getting dark. Well, I can make light.
"Lumos," I whisper, holding my wand. It lights up. Phew, magic still works. But that still doesn't answer my question. Why am I here? And why is Andi here? I guess I'll have to walk into the building.
I do, and see a lady at the front desk. "Let me guess, you're from some other exotic place. It looks like... Hogwarts. And now you'll be wanting to know why you're here," she says, surprising me. What does she know?
