okay so this is a story I've been writing with my friend, it's called, When in Doubt Have Your Brain Hacked by a Demon. so please comment what you think, I'll update really quickly.

My summer reading sits next to my computer completely blank, it’s not that i didn’t read, It’s simply about stupid time. Who has enough time to write down every book they read, every minute? Having my mother hover over me (literally) 24/7 reminding me to practice. Witch if I may add, is quite annoying. Tomorrow would be my first day at my new high school, because of some explosion mishap that I had practically nothing to do with.  They would never know exactly what happened to that bus, what a shame for them.  But I digress.

“Cathryn, do you have everything? Did you get more note books at the store?” My mom says opening my door without knocking. I simply nod through my headphones, as I furiously scribble random book titles and minutes. I heard my mom tisk, through a stopping point in You found Me, by the fray©.

At around 10:40 pm I finish with every possible thing that could be done before tomorrow, I fall into bed not caring enough to get out of my regular clothes.

~oOo~

“Shoot! How could you do this? Do you want me to fail? To make a fool of myself?” I silently scold my brain. I was so tired last night I must have forgotten to set my alarm. I quickly stuff any necessities into my bag and, ‘brush’ my hair, I put it up in a ponytail, so it was less of a mess, and stuff a stick of spearmint gum into my mouth. “Dad! I’m leaving!” I yell walking out the door, I don’t hear nor wait for a response. As usual my bus stop is in the most awkward place, ever. I stop in front of a tall blue house dreading, but knowing what was going to happen.

“Cathy? Is that you?” Percy Valdez, a tall boy with dark brown hair and chocolate eyes, walks up to me.

“The one and only,” i say back

We stare at each other in silence for a second before turning to see a few more people (people i could live without) come bounding over to us. Charlie and Miley, come up talking. Apparently, nothing has changed since sixth grade, her face was still scarily stunning, every piece of makeup on her face was placed perfect, which made it oh so hard not smack her.

“Oh great, look who’s back from her preppy little private school?” Charlie sneers. And I roll my eyes.

“Yeah, I was worried when I heard I was coming back, I hope there’s enough room for me, you and your ego,” I reply coolly. He give a ‘na’, unable to think of a comeback.

“Wow, Cathryn, it’s been too long what was it? You left in seventh grade right?” Miley says in her syrupy voice, I simply nod. “It’s been to long, that would be, um, hmm. Seven plus one…”

“Four years,” I say for her. She glares at me.  Such a know-it-all sad she's back it really is, I know just what to do though. I stare at her as I read her mind.

“WAIT!” a girl with long black hair calls out to an approaching yellow bus to the stop right before mine. If only my mom didn’t need the car for work. I get on and stop for a second to look at the bus driver, uhg, I should get payed way more for this stinken kids he thinks.I sit down in seat thirteen. As the girl with the black hair comes into view I mentally kick myself for being so stupid, the girl was Violet.

“He Cath! here,” She says excitedly scooting over on the seat so I have room. “I didn’t know you were coming to public how did you convince your mom?” Violet was the only person I really trusted, especially, when I tell my mom something and it ends up coming from Cally her ‘friends daughter’ on her blog. To her everything is a learning experience, and everyone has good.

“Well, I’ll tell you one thing, It didn’t involve me talking a bear and getting him to destroy the school bus,” I grumble not wanting anyone to hear. It was always easier to talk to Violet, and she was the only other person, who knew about my powers, but then again she did have her own ‘abilities’. Why she would ride the bus when she could just teleport to her class, was beyond me.

~oOo~

We pull up to a building that seems way too big and dapper to be a school. My hands start shaking, and of course Violet notices.

“You okay?” she asks, I see sympathy dripping in her voice, I shake my hands.

“Totally! This is just a bit bigger than my old school,” I reply truthfully. She stares at me for a moment, she won’t last a day, she thinks. “Hey! I can last just as long as you,” I say hurt. She shakes her head, and gives me a full blown mind apology. It was nice I guess, with both of us being able to read minds, it was easy to talk without being overheard.

We part ways, her leaving for whatever her first period is, and me heading for math. I stumble around a bit, the paper I got says my class is on the fourth floor, but there are about five different math classes, all spread out. “You look completely lost, let me help you,” Percy, comes up behind me. I nod, but from the tone of his voice I knew that either way he was going to show me to the classroom. “We have the same class, Mrs. Migger advanced math, is this way.

We walk, into a small room, and surprise, surprise, Miley is already in there, talking to everyone, as if they're under a spell. “Oh, Cathryn, I see you're here, um, I think you have the wrong room, this is advanced math,” she says bittersweetly. “While you're standing, go get me a drink from the vending machine,” she orders in a pleasant voice, but stern. I felt my legs moving, but my brain felt like goop. I order them to stop, they slow down, but not to a stopping point. Come on, you can’t let her control you, I tell myself. I try to focus on something besides Miley’s tapping foot, watching me upsettingly.
