Secret Mechanics RP!

Secret Mechanics RP!
Secret Mechanics RP!
Remember how I had a Robots vs. Magicicians RP that died pretty quickly? I thought it was b/c the plot was too complex and full of characters, so I made a "Magician's RP" and now I'm making a robot RP! This won't have anything to do with the Magician's RP, I'm just basing it off of part of the original idea.
So, no more rambling, to the plot!
Your character is involved in the underground works of an unofficial group that has come to be refered to be the phrase: "Secret Mechanics." Your mission? Building illegal robots, weapons, supercomputers and all these other things that I know absolutely nothing about (therefor I'm making it up). Will you be some sort of apprentice, learning the evil trade whose masters lurk in the darkest depths of society? Or will you be one of those masters; creating evil machines for the thrill and well-paying customers, or perhaps even a bigger plot that is yet to be revealed? Or will you be a spy deep undercover and hidden in secrets? Beware: the dark world of Agalthathon is full of secrets, and the Secret Mechanics is only one...
On that happy note, it's time for charrie sheets!

Relationship to other characters?
My character:
Name: Avin-Brandr Dlithe (Everyone calls him Vin or Brand)
Age: 17
Appearance: Very dark brown hair usually just on the point of needing a haircut, light brown eyes, usually has a hint of a smile hidden somewhere in his face. He's very tall, and is sometimes teased for his height.
Personality: Despite is trying past and difficult present, Vin still harbors a bit of warmth within. Most of the time he is quiet and collected. He knows what to do in most situations and is very smart.
Talents: He can measure things with his eyes and work quickly with his fingers. He is best at sketchig plans and designs and such.
General backstory: His family gave him up for adoption soon after birth. Vin moved around until he was finally adopted by his current guardian, a rather insensitive man who keeps to himself most of the time and makes jabs at others when he's not. The man's name was Jharbon Ghud, and he was involved in the Secret Mechanics in small ways. Once he learned of Vin's talents, he forced Vin to get involved so that he himself would look good in the eyes of the masters and possibly promoted to a higher paying job. After two years, Vin worked as a technique manager (guys, I'm making this all up. Don't google any of these so-called jobs) and fell into a pattern with his work that he enjoyed because it kept him busy, regardless of the dark nature of some of the Secret Mechanics. He can't pull out now after working with some of the masters, or else he will "mysteriously disappear." Besides, it's so easy to overlook the illegal part when he's doing what he loves with no one critisizing him.
Something they are hiding: Once when he went to get another Rioche quill after breaking his own, he overheard a conversation between two of the masters. What he heard was this:
"And do they not know of the plans?" The first asked.
"The apprentices have no idea what they have been assigned," a second voice answered.
"What about the girl?"
"Fatir-Aswad's predictions will not come true. She will NOT stand in the way of the—"
"Have Fatir-Aswad's predictions ever been wrong before?" Interupted the first master.
"They will be this time," growled the first master, "besides, with Ghud's aspiring artist working to—" Here Vin could hardly hear the passing masters. The only other words he caught were: "betray her."
Ever since then, he has wondered what the plans were and who the girl was. I have the feeling he's about to find out...
Relationship to other characters: As of now, there aren't any :)

I reserve a master spot!

Top! I'm making another character for fun.
Name: Ahladith Hakan
Age: He isn't sure, some days it's 13 and others it's 14, and when he's trying to impress someone it's 15.
Appearance: I'll make an avatar since it's hard to describe him.
Personality: Bubbling with energy, a bit rebellious, full of leaping fire. He falls in love with someone or something else every day (like me and my obsessions) and is always talking about something or other.
Talents: Working with metal, fitting patterns, and pretty much everything else that goes with being an apprentice.
General backstory: His mother did some business with the Secret Mechanics before he was born, but decided to pull out before she became too deeply indebted to them and raised Ahladith until he was six, when she disappeared as a result of her workings with the Secret Mechanics. His father went in and out of his life for a while before disappearing altogther when he was 10. Despite her mother's fate, Ahladith's older sister became apprenticed to a Master and his best choice was to do the same.
Something they are hiding: He has evidence that his sister may be a spy of some sort. The idea terifies him and he is too afraid to confront her.
Relationship to other characters? He makes friends with everyone somehow. It's in his nature.

Here is Ahladith (avatar) I hope it shows up!

hi I've been reading the Chatterbox for a few days now and I think I know what a role play is. Can I join this one? Also, is it good to connect characters? I mean, can I play as Ahladith's sister because I want to be a spy. Thanks and sorry about all my questions! Also, where do you get the avatar drawings? I've seen other ChatterBoxrs using them.

Your name is from The Westing Game!

Well firstly, I'm partially reusing charries, because why not? Secondly, if having an android charrie isn't okay, let me know and I can make something else.
Name: Dakota. A funny story about his name: when the apprentices were testing him and making sure there were no design flaws, they discovered he didn't have his states memorized. Why? He mixed up the Dakotas! His official name is Model 1-E, but only the masters refer to him as such.
Age: 3 years of being perfectly functional. He hasn't been turned into scrap metal yet, which is pretty impressive!
Appearance: Dakota has oil-black hair cropped at his chin. Bangs cover his forehead but not his eyes. His skin is literally plaster-white. He's about an average adult male height, six foot or a little less, and has blue eyes with circuts evident inside.
Personality: Dakota is generally pretty optimistic, polite, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic - in other words, pretty much perfect. He has trouble emphasizing or even sympathizing with others, and doesn't quite understand the concept of strong emotion (he experiences minor emotions himself, but will never be able to understand their true power). He feels no need to be human, and sometimes will accidentally put himself above his more living companions. When he begins to explain something, he tends to zone out and go further than anyone wants him to, going on irrevalent tangents until someone finally shuts him up.
Talents: Dakota can do almost anything mechanical, though he refuses to work on robotics, claiming it's odd for him to do so. He has advanced (though not above-and-beyond) understanding in most sciences, and excels in mathematics, though his creativity and most other topics are not so good.
General backstory: Dakota was the fifth of the first line of andriods to be created, and, in most people's opinions, the best model of them all. Though other andriods were quicker or had better and wider knowledge in most topics, they broke down or malfunctioned easily, and soon the andriod line had almost completely shut down, leaving only Dakota. He was designed by the masters, though tested by the apprentices, and generally lives amongst the latter.
Something they are hiding: At one point, when doing light reading in one of the computers, Dakota has reason to believe he accidentally hacked into a file not for public viewing. He's never erased it from his memory, though he doesn't think about it often.
Relationship to other characters: Gets on well with most of the apprentices and respects most of the Masters. As more charries get created, firmer relationships could probably be established.

St. Owl, YAY! Dakota's back!
And Turtle, you can be Ahladith's sister! That would be great! We need girl charries because they fit with the plot conversation thing. And the avatars are from a cool website you can find by looking up: Mega Anime Avatar Creator.

Name: Anna Lin
Age: 16
Appearance: She has curly/wavy black hair that extends down her back. She usually wears it down, but might pull it up sometimes in a braid or bun when she is building something. She has very pale skin, and she has dark almond eyes that are a little bigger than others like her (she's Asian). She lanky, and moves quickly, allowing her nimble fingers to build things easily. She will often be seen wearing whatever she wants, and on top of that will be a white labcoat.
Personality: She's very intelligent, and makes little to no mistake on calculations, technology, and robotics. Because she is known for that, sometimes there is presure on her. She's a more reserved person, and not always known for having fun because of how seriously she takes her work. Sometimes she'll be lost in her own thoughts.
Talents: Again, very intelligent and extremely precise. She runs in the mornings.
General backstory: Anna grew up in a competitive family, where she had and older brother and sister. Mistakes and failures were not an option. She wasn't always the best daughter or student, but when she found her talent for mechanics, she became the best in her lab for that. Before she became a Secret Mechanic, she worked for a presitgious science and research lab. Eventually, when they started to release people they thought were suspicious, she got blamed for something she didn't do and ended up working as a Secret Mechanic. They recognised her talent and she became known as one of the Masters. However, while some of them may be outspoken, she is not.
Something they are hiding: To be developed in the story.
Relationship to other characters: Like I said, she isn't the most social person. She doesn't interat with people very well, but if one person could make her laugh, then they are considered a friend. Open to shipping.
(March 9, 2017 - 10:18 pm)
Anna sounds like a good friend for Vin and maybe a good hopeless crush for Ahladith.
(March 10, 2017 - 7:29 am)
Name: Irida Hakketh, people just call her Ira
Age: 15
Appearance: Long dark brown hair pulled into a braid, dark shifty eyes. Average height, but strong and wiry. Wears a black hoodie and jeans
Personality: Manipulative, does more on the illegal side of things than the mechanics, though she is good at that too. However, she is extremely loyal and you will never get a secret out of her no matter how hard you try. Slow to trust, but when she does she will trust you to any end, and if anyone were ever to break that trust it would probably destroy her.
Talents: Mostly works in secret dealing. A good liar, and would be a good spy. Very good at math and engineering, can work out most problems in her head.
General backstory: Grew up with only a mother, who wasn't around much, three brothers, and an older sister. Has always been involved with the Secret Mechanics, and knows pretty much all there is to know about machines and computers. But she usually does more of the secret, illegal dealings and stuff, and most people don't know that she also does engineering stuff too.
Something they are hiding: I'll see later in the story
Relationship to other characters? A few distrust her, but she has a few friends. Open to shipping.
@Turtle W, is your name a reference to The Westing Game?

So sorry! I have been super busy. Everyone can start now!
Avin-Brandr~
Wet grass and dirt stick to my bare ankles as I run away from the city, humming and bright with energy, to the few old trees looking down on the sprawling collection of buildings. A wet, miserable drizzle of rain covers the world in a dreary cloud. Stopping at the tallest oak tree, I fumble in my pockets for my Runge* and, upon finding it, quickly press it into a specific knothole in the tree.
The runes designed on the end of the special stick press perfectly into the seemingly random designs in the bark.
Click, click click...creeeaaaaak.
A portion of the trunk slides away.
Smiling slightly, I descend into the warm underground glow of the small Secret Mechanics outpost, the location of my Boumester.*
