Help! I'm writing

Help! I'm writing

Help! I'm writing a story about a girl who is really good at writing poetry, the only problem being I have no inspiration for the topics I want her to write about!

So... could some of you fabulous poets lend a hand? The topics I want her to write about are stars and apologies, but creatively.

I will tell you if I'm using your poems in the story. Thanks!

This good?
FRIEND
Still feel
Like I'm
Alone.
I
Still search
And I
Still roam.
When
Will I
Find someone near?
A "Hello!" echoes
In my ears.
I turn around
And now
I see
Someone there,
Waving at me!
Am no more
Alone

This on is definitely not as good.

When the stars

Shine at night

I look out

Of my window.

And their beauty

Is bright

As many

Diamonds.

I feel

That they are

Awaiting

For someone

To catch them

Not far

From the beauty

Of their heart.

Man! I wrote a couple but I guess they didn't submit!

~

It was supposed to be

you and me

against the world.

It's your fault

that I'm alone now

chasing star-dotted dreams

of star-crossed lovers

who all bring hot poison

to kiss-soaked lips.

Each time I begin

I think that maybe things

will turn out differently

(that they'll grow gardens in their gashes,

make bruises into beauty,

turn wishes for weapons

into wishes for whimsy)

that they'll say,

"I'm sorry,"

before it's too late.

If you're down on your luck,

just go out to see,

all the birds and trees.

The wind and the water,

the painter and potter.

The sun will shine again,

your problems will mend.

But if you ever find yourself back at the start,

just open your window, don't be left in the dark.

You can always find something you've never seen,

as long as you can be bright and keen.

The stars are brilliant

don't explain them to me

tiny crystals of salt across a

silken

dark

blue background

don't tell me

they're really just bits of hydrogen and helium and

exactness

because they're not

they're beautiful and liquid

and they glow suspended in the air

and they're a revelation

don't tell me that's just a mix of gases in the air

I don't even really like that poem that I just wrote, but thank you so much for giving me a prompt, I felt like I needed to write something.
