All right, I need this information for a social studies project.

Basically- Wait, I need to back up a bit. The year is 1849. There is still slavery in America, Zachary Taylor is president, many, many families are moving west in the Gold Rush and..... yeah, that's about it. So basically, you have a choice. You can be: a slave OR their master OR a conductor on the Underground Railroad OR a person moving west because of the Gold Rush OR just any random person.

Backstory: Her family are Quakers, who think that slavery is evil, and want to stop it. Since she was never one of those "silly kind of girls who care only about clothes and getting married at 18", she decided to help slaves by bringing them from their southern plantations to Canada
