Round robin time!

Round robin time!

Round robin time! I think! Here goes:

The bright starts were shining in the dark night sky, the contrast making them even more beautiful. It was stunning. Then the peaceful affect was ruined as they started disapearing. one by one.

This frightning scenes was all over the news and by Friday everybody knew.I mean everybody knew that those brilliant bodies of light in the night sky were disapearing. Not what was actually happening. And why.

They thought that the stars were dissapearing just like all of their lights going out.    They could just keep on going like it was just normal.  And that someone, just someone would put the beautiful stars back up in that dark sky to brighten up the town.  They thought that the stars will come back in a few days.

But they were wrong, the stars would never come back, the sky would always be black.  And only one person knew why...

Welcome, Adina!  Are you new here?  I like your name!  Meadow is my real name, is Adina your real name?

Questly Nliim, the Prime Minister ((just seems England-esque, you know?)), was trying to calm everyone down. There'd been two press conferences that afternoon- two! As though one mere interview wasn't harrying enough- and the media was going beserk. Meanwhile, the exhausted Nlimm just wanted to get home to his family... unfortunately, he still had to reply to a few letters and read a report before he could get back home. By then it'd be nearing eleven, and the children would be sleeping...

He yawned, and stood up to stretch, pacing around his office. It was a rather nice office, furnished with polished wood furniture, paneling, and hardwood floors. There were some lovely pieces of artwork adorning the wall, and pictures of his wife and children were fondly angled on the wide and glossy desk.

"Break's over," he muttered to himself, and sat back down at his desk. Logging on to his computer, he found a mountain of emails waiting. "But I just checked it an hour ago," he said, mildly irritated.

Choosing the first one, he clicked on it, and this came up:

To: Prime Minister Questly Nlimm

Re: The Destruction of Your Planet

Message:

Dear Prime Minister Nlimm,

The "disappearing stars" that your people have noted are not, indeed, the exlosions of small balls of rock, ice, and gas, as was assumed. To the contrary, they were entire planets being obliterated... forever.

Shall your Earth be the next? You and the other world leaders will have to pull together in an attempt to save all that you hold dear... your families... your countries... Indeed, Mr. Nlimm, your entire world is at stake.

I cannot reveal whether I am friend or foe, merely that the wave of destruction is spreading your way.

With all due respect and sincerity,

Anonymous

Although Nlimm was at first vaguely disturbed, he soon shook his head. "I despise the forwards," he muttered, and began reviewing his secretary's report of employee health care statuses.

((Hmm, maybe his kids should see the letter or something? Then we could have kid protagonists instead of a Prime Minister...

This is a good RR... it's not going cliche like they often do.))

Here goes:

I watched them go out as I lay in bed, that night. I knew something was terribly wrong the moment I saw my first winking friend go out. I lept out of bed and called for Jessalyn.

"I saw it to, Addie! I coming!" She said calmly as the night sky darkened. That's what I love about my older sister! She can stay calm almost any time!!! I live with her in our two bedroom apartment in the great state of Oregon. A lot of people, when they hear Oregon, they think bears and trees and hunters and pioneers and all that, but I live in downtown Portland! That's about as city-like as it gets here! I live ten blocks from a giant concert stadiam and can hear cars pass my window at two in the morning......not exactly what you were expecting, right? Anyway, back to The Night....

Two things: 1-I would like to join, and 2-can we get back on track?!

Camenti Kimenla looked sadly through her telescope. One star a night had disappeared, though she knew, or thought she knew, it had happened a long time ago. Cammi, as she liked her friends to call her, was an expert on outer space. The telescope had been a Christmas present from her parents. So Cammi thought that, since the stars' light took so long to reach us, the stars had already been destroyed. But there was one star, Cammi's "lucky star" she liked to call it, that had stayed for as long as she could remember. She hoped it stayed. It would keep the sky bright and the people less lonely. Cammi reached longingly up towards it. If only, if only she could protect it, and see what was going on up there, beyond the world she knew...
