CB Spirit Solo Write
This is a solo write slightly based off of the Werecreature RP, where CBers gain the power to assume the form of an animal at will. Maybe you were thinking about it as you went to sleep one night…
...and woke up in a beautiful garden the next day. You don't know why you're there, or what you should do. As you explore the garden, though, finding new friends (and enemies) all along the way, you have a feeling something bigger might be going on here...
I’ll accept 11 CBers, maybe one and two more if they don’t apply too late. No two people can have the same animal. Here’s the sheet:
CB Name:
Appearance as human:
Personality:
Animal:
Heightened abilities:
Anything extra:
The plot will be developed as we go along; I already have an idea for this.
A few things:
1.) All people who join will be MCs, but the ones who joined first will likely be featured more.
2.) No diary entries or other pieces, please. This is written by me, a solo write.
3.) I will not accept anyone after all the spots have been filled, unless you ask very nicely. Absolutely NO one can join after I've cut it off.

Their eyes fluttered open to the muffled sound of singing birds, the feathered animals' voices calling back and forth to each other. Sitting up, they suddenly realized they had no idea where they were. What was this place?... it was a beautiful garden, to say the least. But it was also scarily unfamiliar. How… how did I get here? Pressing their palm to their forehead, they racked their thoughts, trying to think of how they would have arrived here.
Finally they stood up and slid off the perfectly made bed they had woken up on, hesitantly stepping onto the dewy grass.
“Hello, there,” a voice suddenly said, echoing off the domed, glass ceiling yet ringing in their ear. They jumped, spinning around in search of the person who was speaking. The voice was changed so they couldn’t tell age, gender, anything at all. The disembodied voice laughed, a sound like a chiming bell. “You must have several questions, I expect. Unfortunately… I may not have all the answers. Or maybe I do? Either way, this is something you will need to learn for yourself.”
They waited in confusion, but the voice wasn’t appearing to continue their speech. Slowly, they looked around them. They could feel a sharp, cold wind blowing from their left, but a sultry and warm one was swirling from their right. They sighed, shaking their head. It did seem they’d have to do this on their own. They took a step towards the warmer air when a few last words from the voice startled them, setting their heart beating fast again.
“Oh, one more thing. Welcome to the Garden of Fallacia.”

Oh, wow, I didn't even make that connection. Icy's disappearance had more to do with the plot instead of links to real life, but now that I think about that... hm.

While you're at it, Little Reader left and probably five other CBers in this story. Keep on going!

THIS IS SO GOOD!!!!! Immediately going down as one of my favorite solo writes/ski lodges EVER! I can't believe I just up and forgot about this thread! I also never submitted my personality. You seem to have a good grip of the development of your characters, but let me know if you want the personality.
You have terrific imagery. I also like the individuality of the characters, and it's interesting to explore how they interact with each other. Not to mention your plot-weaving. Although I was confused about the fire part. Who was that? Are we supposed to know?

Thank you!! That's so nice of you~ A little personality description would be great! I hope you like the name Eria I chose for you.
As for the fireside part, all will be revealed in time. Vox is still just a voice in the wind for now, but later that'll all be explained out...

This is great! Keep on goin'!

I drew a scene from the story! It took me all day. I love the result and it is by far the best digital drawing I've ever done.
I will draw several other scenes throughout the story as it progresses and at the end, I'll draw either all the characters or the climax.

SCYLLA! That's incredible!! Wow, it really is a great drawing! The hair, the shading, the expressions, everything--I love it! I would be thrilled if you kept drawing scenes in my story! (And it's definitely going in--credited by you, of course--if I ever form this into something more book-like). Again, I know I've said this, but--I love it!

Thank yoU! I'm so glad you like it. Is the caption okay or should I take it out? (It's on a separate layer so it's fine) You know how layers work--this drawing had twenty-one. 21 layers. That's a lot of layers.
I would be delighted if you put my illustrations into the final product! Is the original size of 300x300px suitable or should I make it bigger?
Keep on writing! I love this story so much.

This is SOOOO good, CL! Keep it up! Can't wait for the next part! Scylla, thats AWSOME! I certenly can't even draw like that with my hand, not to mention web programing!
(December 21, 2016 - 4:16 pm)
Thanks, although it wasn't programming. It was drawing. I am, however, actually learning web programming right now. I'm learning how to design webpages using HTML and CSS.
Also, TOP!

Here's the personality sheet. It's probab;y going to be too long and too detailed. Plus I may copy and paste some stuff from this sorting/primary/secondary/analysis thing. But whatever. I can use this for other RPs and such, so better to do it now. *shrug* Lovely name you picked, by the way.
Personality: Outgoing, and is either very excited and positive (but not happy-go-lucky/hyper) or negative but smiling slightly and making a joke out of it. Can make terrible situations ironic/funny without meaning to. Enjoys being around people who have similar interests or traits as her. Likes to be friends with many people and many types of peope while stil having a few very close friends. Highly values those friendships, and during troubled time, is gets very paranoid that the relationship will end and paranoid that she's being paranoid or clingy. Enjoys laughing and being made laugh.
Does not lack an intuitive sense of morality or gut feeling about things, but distrusts those instincts and has a need to ignore or to dig down deep and dissect those internal moral impulses.
As for how she problem-solves, (this is where I paste some stuff) she toils. Her strength comes from their consistency and the integrity of her method. Can be slow to start things, but once she gets working, she's a hard workers. She builds habits and systems for herself and accomplish things by keeping at them. She has a steadiness that can make them the lynchpin (though not usually the leader) of a community.
Loves music and singing.
