GRYPHON~DRAGON RP!!!!!!!

Chatterbox: Inkwell

GRYPHON~DRAGON RP!!!!!!!

GRYPHON~DRAGON RP!!!!!!!

Since the scorching dragons and gryphons have lived in harmony with another.  But after a gruesome attack to a Gryphon hatchery; presumably caused by dragons. King Stone-eyes has pronounced war on them.  Each side is fighting equally with no definite sighn at who as the upper talon.  All the more reason for bloodshed.

Now fifteen years later Everglade of the gryphons started a rebellion against the war.  Behind her is a tie of both tribes all striving for one thing.   Peace.

∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆

@Exploration adventure RP, I have not forgotten about you!  I'm just letting you die a bit till I get my bearings and can continue with it.  Thanx.

To everyone else, this is a new RP where I will be testing a new idea.  In most of the threads I join the  posts are like this.

Timmy fell down a well.

And then,

I watched as Timmy fell down the well.

Undoubtedly they're  longer and more descriptive but my point is they don't move the story along.

Which of course leads to less activity which then death and obliteration.

Which is why I'm making a rule.

Post in a way that keeps our story moving.  Not a retelling of something we know already happened.

Ex.

Right way:

Timmy fell down the well.

I grabbed a rope out of my bag and pulled Timmy back up from the well.

Capiche? Capiche.

So our charries will start loyal to Everglade and then meet and the RP will branch out from there.

Rules:

1. No op charries;  Be creative!  But don't make a dragon who can swallow whole galaxies in one gulp.  Meaning- you can have the abilities of the dragons in WoF but keep it simple.  No swimming sandwings.

2.  No shape shifters

3. Only dragons and Gryphons

4.  SCAVENGERS!!!!! totally going off of WoF right now so Scavengers are totally allowed!

5.  The appearances of the dragons vary but if you want to go off a WoF dragon that's totally fine.

6.  You may make as many charries as you so wish but let at least one be a boy, thanx.

@Claaws, Its in Darkstalker when he figures out how to use his powers without losing his soul.   He puts his magic in a scroll so he can ask the scroll to do anything he wants and itll do it without affecting him.

@Everyone, So that we are all on the same page young dragons are called dragonets and young gryphons are calked cubs

@Everyone again, For the sake of conspiracy none of the gryphons know about teh dragons mindreading and foreseeing powers. Even the ones in camp.

~Cloudbreaker

I paced across the meeting cave's threshold; the feathers at the back of my neck bristling.

Everglade's been in there for five hours.  She should be done by now.

My tail lashed the frost thick earth.

Eminence is a traitor.  Everyone agrees.   I should bite her throat out.  But that would endanger Everglade's mortive.   But there will be no motive if Eminence is the cause of my queens death.

I licked the fangs lodged inside my beak.   One drop.  In eminences water jug maybe.   Nobody would know.  And Everglade could live forever and ever and nothing bad would ever happen to my queen as long as I was there.

"Dont do it."

I jumped; My wings flaring.

It was  Goldenwing, Her huge glassy eyes locked on mine.

"Do what?" I snarled.  My spine prickled.  What did she know?

Goldenwing's expression imediately went blank.   HEr wings tightened ahaisnt her chest.

"I mean- dont-"

"Dont do what."

Why is she acting so wierd?  Is something wrong? Why is she looking at me like that?

"I-uh-"  But before she could answer the meeting caves wooden doors flew open and Emienece marched out.  A wrathful wave of shivering frost eminating in her wake.

I imediately darted inside, Goldenwing's peculiar actions momentarily escaping my thoughts.

Everglade sat at the end pf the room her talons clasped in front of her.  The room was freezing, but other then that there as no sighn of any commotion.

At least from the outside.

Everglade breathed a long aggrevated sigh and slowly began to massage her temples.   She was tired.  That was easy to note.  But looking closer she seemed...Older.  Frailer.  Fragile.

Goldenwing slinked inside behind me and suddenly drew a gasp.

"Is she ok." She whispered. But from her expression I could tell she already knew.

'I dont think she's noticed we're here."  I hissed back.

Goldenwing crunched the earh beneath her talons.  Her eyes darting across the room.

"We should go."

As much as I wished not.  She was right.  Everglade needed some time to think.

"Fine."

Goldenwing turned and shiffled out of the room.  I follwoed.  ignoring my plee to look back.

~TO BE CONTINUED!

Ill post as cerulean tonight, as long as nothing unexpected happens:P

Heartbeat

~~

Rolling over onto my back, I hissed with pleasure as the shining sunlight warmed my scales and feathers. I came to this rock every day to sun myself. Some of the other gryphons didn't like it, I knew, and a few even called me 'flithy half-breed', but it wasn't that important! Names were just names, nothing more. Finally, after a few hours I felt completely rehabilitated and ready to go back to the village. Shaking out my neck-feathers, I hopped up and began the long trek back.

It was hard, I admit, to get anywhere without flying, but it was just too dangerous for me to risk--I couldn't stay in the air for more than a minute or two without toppling to the ground. At least walking made my legs strong and easier for me to run.

As I'm just nearing the camp, I see Batsight milling around there, his head close to the ground. Flattening my ears along my head, I try to sneak around him, but it's no use. His head jerks up as he spots me creeping along, his beak twisted in a sneer. "Hello, Heartbeat," he said. The words were kind enough, but they were filled with so much venom they may have as well blinded me. I sighed and straightened up, determined not to be antagonistic.

"Hello there, Batsight! How are you?" I chirp, fluttering my wings to him. He rolls his eyes sarcastically and raises an eyebrow.

"Oh, I'm perfectly fine. In fact, I just saw Everglade as I was," he pauses here. "Flying."

I swallow my annoyance and reply, "Great for you! Everglade is amazing!" Then I hurriedly skitter away, trying my best to avoid conflict.

I'm not usually mad, but something about the way Batsight targets me even though he's also half-dragon makes my blood boil. If only he were nicer, maybe we could be friends. But... it wasn't meant to be, I suppose. Continuing into the village, my heart begins to lift and soon I'm greeting everyone I see cheerfully, my clash with Batsight forgotten. Then, ahead of me and next to Goldenwing, I spot someone I was especially excited about seeing.

"Hiii, Cloudbreaker!" I say as I near her.

Oh man...I hope nobody calls me out for forgetting about my own gryphon rp...oh well! Here's a charrie.

Name: Grasshopper

Gender: Male

Abilities: Exhibits a promising talent for silent, quick flight, paws and talons make little to no noise in grass.

Gryphon/Dragon: Gryphon

Appearance: chestnut-colored fur and feathers bent back to be sleek and aerodynamic, wide, dull beak and small talons. Eyes are asparagus green shining with flecks of bronze. Legs are long and only half of them are covered with fur. Powerful, skinny wings and small tail.

Personality: Lighthearted and smiley, has never been the type to try and grab the spotlight, pretty optimistic, and even in the face of great danger believes that good will always prevail. Between all the bleeding and fighting he is an innocent, encouraging soul, but also unbearably naïve. He's much too trusting, which is something is comrades are working on relentlessly to fix, lest he bring a deceitful foe into a camp.

Relationships: He hasn't yet begun to understand the concept of romance and mating. Please don't ruin that for him.

Other: Is native to a tribe that no longer exists, that of gryphons similar to he.

FINNIALLY

Goldenwing~

I wish i could have helped but I would probably get snapped at. I keep my powers secret though i cant help but use them. Its normal now. They always stare. Ever scince the war started every gryphon acts like I'll betray them at any second. Don't they see that I am a gryphon at heart.I sigh and head into the den in which all the grypgons sleep. I turned right to a small black corner that was scorched I lay down in my nest knowing it was only a matter of time before a bigger war broke out.

Grreenblade~ I jump around in the hatchling's den. Though its hard being the only hatchling I still like bouncing around and trying to make my tiny wings fly. I bite into a tree branch and feel the satisfaction of my teeth sinking into it. I shake my head but it wont let my teeth out! i run at the small doorway but only to find that my head gets stuck in the doorway!. Luckily the branch breacked where ,my teeth were and I stumble forward right into Festeval!

~Grasshopper~

My slitted eyes scanned the grassy horizon lazily, watching for nothing in particular. Beneath my lids shone a dark, wet green, but I hadn't been crying. I never had. Right now, there was a faint breeze which I felt through my long, thin feathers. The dull, fluffy-tipped tall grass was swaying rhythmically, lulling me to a hazy sleeplike state. Just before I fell into the wispy gape of unconsciousness a dark figure flew across my line of sight, a few meters away.

My eyes fluttered open, considerably slower than another, more alert gryphon's would have. Part of me was curious, and another was angry that whoever or whatever this was had interrupted me, but none was in the least bit frightened. That was not good, something I had been told much too much. But what was there to be afraid of? War. Bloodshed. Spies. And don't forget everyone's favorite: death. But then there was peace, and peace balances everything, like on some golden scale of the heavens.

I stretched out my short, straight legs as I stood up from the small hill I had settled on. When the figure had passed, they had created a wind in their wake, a cold wind at that, and it had blown westward. Navigation was something they'd taught me years ago, and I was no expert, but I had understood how to find north at any time of day, and then the rest of the cardinal points. And so I set off, in no hurry but walking with muted purpose.

The chill in the air rattled my hard gryphon bones as I stepped into a forest, the ash-colored trees bent above me. I recognized it, of course, but it was...I don't like to use the word "spooky" much because it makes me feel like a child, but that's how it felt right now. I folded my pointed wings around my figure and continued.

It was a moment before I heard talking. It wasn't casual chatting, nor was it the hushed, afraid tones people had been speaking in since before my birth. It had a kind of malice to it, and confidence, cruel confidence lurked within its voiced recesses.

"Is it time?"

"I don't quite understand what you mean by 'is it time'," another voice chuckled. "It has always been time, and it will be time until we decide to cut time off. Every moment is the perfect moment, we just haven't chosen one to be time."

The other speaker didn't seem to appreciate the seemingly female spokesperson. "I asked you a simple question that required a simple answer. Soon it will be too late, they will be gone and I'll be executed.

"You, of course, could remain, your position stationary. But let me inform you that you will never be paired with an associate of my competence."

I could hear the grin in the other's voice. "So that's my reason to hurry up? That I 'need' you? I will wait here and see when I will take action. And I wouldn't worry about getting caught, either. You don't see black ice until it's too late."

Oooooooooh. So like, she can go mad like any normal anumis? *laughs* I'm gonna have fun with this charrie.

~Necrosis

I snarle threateningly at Arid. "Necrosis? Come on. It won't do you any harm to make a-."

I cut him off as his flare my fan and hiss, fealing the rough surface scrape against my ears. He stepped back, kowing from expericance what was coming next. "Necrosis, don't..."

But it was too late. I spat the flaming venom right at his putrid SandWing face. There was no time to react, just for him to do a small, fast and symple movemnet. Turn his head.

The poison hit his earing, which being none living, deflected it. I hissed in anouyance. "Rose-gold dragon, your roses don't apeal to me."

He stared at me, deciding on what I ment. Stupid dragons. Never understand a word I say. My launguage is two advanced for them. "Rose-gold...does that mean I have a heart of gold? And roses, my atractivness?" He said the last part with an 'ohh look at me' tone, that he thought to be amusing. I didn't.

I flared my hood again, this time spitting poison the second I flicked it open. But that sly SandWing was too fast, and deflected it again with his golden ear. "Welp. As I see I should go, I'm going to go visit Everglad. Mind to come with?"

"Deflecter of gold, wish you were ripped from rose-gold's defence." I snarled as he jumped into the air and started to gain altitude. I felt my talons suddenly feal like they were growing, strenghtening, more powerful...and then it left, like it was part of my imagination.

But suddenly there was a deep scream from above. I looked up and was sure I saw his hooped earing rip itself from his ear and fly down to rest, all red and dripping with blood, at my talons. I looked back up and saw Arid cradling his ear, blooding dripping from his talons to land with a splat in the dusty earth. He was staring down at me, like for a second he thought I did it. Then he shook his head, blood spraying into the air around him, before continuing to Everblad.

I looked down at my talons. Did I do that? "Hoop of gold, levitate to see."

The hoop moved, and gradually rose to look me in the eyes. It almost looked like a red and gold eye. Then, as I started to put the peices together, the blood dripping from the hoop stopped in the middle and started to swirl and bubble into shapes.

One was a darker gryphon, probably Everglad, the other a lighter red. And as I watched, the red slowly turned to light blue and dark blue, to form a Rainwing Nighwing hybrid. Me.

I slashed my talons and said something to a spear-like object. The spear turned to Everglad and stabbed her where the image's heart should be. The image spread her wings in pain, the despersed.

ANd so did the rest of the image, blood falling in a wave to the dusty floor. I gasped, and the earing fell.

I am an anumis.

And not only that...

I have the power to kill Everglade.

Nightflame~

Sparktail and I circle high over the Dragon camp. We had been journeying for months and the sudden exposure of so many dragon thoughts on my mind was like a cannon blast. Almost all of the thoughts were about the war. Names and death and plots filled my mind with so much confusion I could hardly think.

Sparktail~

I looked over at Nightflame. He was blinking and shaking his head. I should never have suggested coming here, the voices and thoughts were too much for him.

~WeatherGaze (or at least I think that was moi name)

There was a big Gryphon meeting. Why wasn't I invited?

I growl deep in my throat and swoop down to the mouth of a cave, looking to the world as if a cloud had fallen to the earth and touched it.

That's when two Gryphons emerge from the cave, one with blood on her claws.

I panic for a second. That's not blood, right? No, it's probably berry juice. I guess I'll just--the other Gryphons are staring at me.
