Mixed Up RP!
Chatterbox: Inkwell
Mixed Up RP!
Mixed Up RP!
This RP is just what it sounds: Mixed Up!
I will give you three things:
1. A plot
2. A villain (who will not be played by a RPer!)
3. A setting
4. Permission to go wild (although not crazy!)
You will create the rest!
Yes, I understand that was four things. That was intended!
Use idea bunnies that have escaped under your bed, old RPs and characters, use books to base your characters off of! Your imagination is the limit!
You may have up to two characters! No OP-ness! Non-human characters are welcome!
SETTING: A cold, distant mountain village. The "freak town". Always winter. We go to a secluded school there, that is incredibly "techy", because we're all "gifted children".
VILLAIN: The Narcissist (one I used a while back; narcissist means "self-admiring"!)
PLOT: The Narcissist is out to get us (duh!). We, clever people that we are, have to escape (again, duh!).
PERMISSION TO GO WILD (BUT NOT CRAZY) GRANTED!
And now for the character sheets!
Name:
Age (11-16):
Appearance:
Personality:
Powers (only one, and no OP):
Backstory (optional):
My characters:
Name: Ellis Lei Swebden (girl)
Age (11-16): 12
Appearance: Carroty hair in two ponytails, electric blue eyes that are always the first thing that you notice about her. Always wears a leather jacket.
Personality: Soft-spoken, adventerous. She is incredibly curious, despite the whole "curiosity killed the cat" thing.
Powers (only one, no OP): Chemistry/math. At school, she is in 10th grade chemistry and math and 7th grade everything else.
Backstory (optional): Her father died when Ellis Lei was only three. She lives in a neat stone house in the mountain village, because of her powers. Ellis Lei blames herself for her mother having to come to this place.
AND...
Name: Ginny Roundshire
Age (11-16): 13
Appearance: Loosely curling black hair and brown eyes. Likes to wear sweaters.
Personality: Ooh, she's a little spitfire! Normally, she's pretty peaceful, and even nice, but when you rile her up, she'll peck your eyes out! Makes mostly Cs in school.
Powers (only one, no OP): She can fly.
Backstory (optional): She is the town's mayor's daughter, which she hates, because she's expected to make perfect grades and be a lady, two things she could totally care less about.

add slitted green eyes
(November 14, 2016 - 9:14 am)
Name: Curron Kohl.
Age: 14 and 3/4.
Gender: Male
Appearance: Has short, thick, and soft light brown hair, bright grey eyes, an oval-ish jaw, and high-ish cheekbones. Also has a very limber build, and long-ish legs. Is normally seen wearing a light grey beanie, dark blue hoodie, crimson short sleeve, red 'n black running shoes, black digital watch on right wrist, and khaki shorts.
Personality: Usually seems pretty nonchalant. Though, he can get very protective of people who have earned his trust {friends}, and isn't normally the first to approach. Is also fairly defensive, and highly dislikes those who bully others.
Power: Can create illusions, but is yet to create anything bigger then a crocodile.
Backstory: Is originally from Canada.
Poppy says 'hrey'.... hurry? Hurray?
(November 12, 2016 - 4:32 pm)
Oooh! Joining!
Name: Adelaide Middling
Age (11-16):13, but she's a grade ahead in school
Appearance: Pale, almost white-blond hair in a halo around her face. Pale skin and almost clear blue eyes. A small, button nose and a small mouth. She wears button-down shirts and slacks.
Personality: On the outside, she's that one perfect kid. Perfect grades, always gets everything done on time, responsible, calm, perfect. On the inside, though... It's a different story. She's stuck with her perfectness, and feels like she always has to live up to that. She's rather insecure, and has a fear of judgement. She sets her goals for herself super high and gets mad at herself for not living up to them. Also, most of the kids in the town hate her because she's so "perfect," and their parents keep setting her as an example for their kids.
Powers (only one, and no OP): She thinks she has no power, and is really ashamed of it. But actually, she has the power to change people's perception of things. As in... If she feels really strongly about something, people around her begin to think the same way about it. The only thing is, she can't affect people's perception of her.
Backstory (optional): Her father sent her and her mother to the town so that they could be secluded from the "great scary world out there." At least, that's what he told them, and five year-old Adelaide believed him. Now, though, she begins to have her douts, as she hasn't heard anything from Pa for three years, and Ma spends half her day sitting in a corner and crying. Perhaps the great scary world is beginning to blead into their little town. Adelaide doesn't know, but somehow she feels like this is all her fault.
Elizabeth, can Ginny and Adelaide be enemies / hate each other? It feels like they would be the type of people that would despise each other. :)

I is quitting this RP. Bye.
(November 13, 2016 - 4:09 pm)
when do we start?
(November 14, 2016 - 9:15 am)
We-el, since half of the people who joined did so after the deadline, you're all fine!
@Booksy Owly: You can still join!
P.S. Sorry ya'll had to put up with my AE the other day. ;)
(November 14, 2016 - 2:26 pm)
@Booksy Owly again (sorry I didn't see your question earlier): Yes, Adelaide can be Ginny's frenemy. ;)
BTW, would ya'll mind posting your character's schedules? They don't really have to match up with mine or anyone elses. It's a big school. I won't have time to post Ginny, but I'll pst her schedule.
We start NOW!
Ellis Lei~
"Dismissed," my 7th grade English teacher says, as the bell screams the end of fifth period. I sigh with relief, and stuff my grammer and English books into my bookbag. The girl in front of me plops her bookbag on my desk, sending my papers flying before I have time to stuff them into a folder. I glare at her and she grins at me lopsidedly before swing her bag to her shoulder and racing off with the rest of the class. Bending over to pick up my papers, I think with dread that my next period is math, where everyone treats me terribly because I get B+ and As and am three years younger than everyone else.
"Ellis Lei, may I speak with you a moment?" My English teacher's musical voice drifts over the desks to me.
"Yes ma'am," I reply, and swinging my bookbag on to my shoulders, I move to stand in front of her desk.
"Ellis," she says, looking at me firmly,"You need to up your writing grade. Your grammer is fine, but you're making a D in writing. I know you're a bright girl Ellis, why is your grade going downhill?" I squirm slightly, and look at my toes.
"I guess it's because grammer is like a puzzle; parcing and diagramming is mathmatical, but writing isn't. My brain just won't grab it." I say embarrasedly. She looks at me like she doesn't believe me but then dismisses me. I have to run to get to math on time. Mrs. Payne is very strict.
Schedule for Ellis Lei:
first period: History-Mr. Bonhoffer
second period: Study hall
third period: Chemistry-Mr. Rogers
LUNCH
fourth period: Extra language- Spanish-Mr. Heserd
fifth period: English-Ms. Lock
last period: Math-Mrs. Payne
Schedule for Ginny:

second period: Extra language-Japanese-Ms. Lavender
third period: Botanical science- Mr. Ulman
LUNCH
fourth period: English-Ms. Lock
fifth period: Study hall
last period:History-Ms. Valet
YOU MUST TAKE MATH, SCIENCE, HISTORY, ENGLISH, AND AN EXTRA LANGUAGE! YOU WILL PROBABLY NEED A STUDY HALL IN THERE TOO!
(November 14, 2016 - 3:09 pm)
Lepakko's schedule:
First Period: Study Hall
Second Period: Physics-- Mrs. O'Brien
Third Period: History-- Ms. Valet
LUNCH
Fourth Period: Math-- Mr. Payne (not Mrs! I think it would be cool if two math teachers were married)
Fifth Period: English-- Ms. Lock
Sixth/Last Period: Extra Language, French-- Mrs. Gardot (gar-doe)
They only have six periods in a day?? Lucky . . . we have nine.
Lepakko~
I am very grateful for first period study hall. Some may find it tiresome, but I find it incredibly useful. Thanks to my headache, and nature, I am a very slow reader and have trouble with comprehension. I need study hall to get all my homework done before I get to class.
This time, though, it looks like I won't finish. It's almost time for second period and my French worksheet is only half done. I suppose I will be working during lunch.
The bell rings, and I pack up my papers and sling my bag over my shoulder. Many students use backpacks, but I much prefer my brown messenger bag. It's more dignified and more convenient, in my opinion.
I make my way to physics. I signed up for the class because of my expertise in sound, but so many things fall under the category that I have trouble keeping up with all the complicated things we learn. I'm sure, though, that when we eventually get to "my" topic, I will be the best in the class.
At least my homework's done, I reflect.

Oh, so sorry I couldn't post before now! Also Brookira, is it alright if Bree has the first three periods with Nobody? If not, dissregard my post.
Also, his power is going to be the storm one.
First period: EPS (Earth Physical Science, lowest science class)- Mrs. Lina
Second period: English 1- Ms. Lock
Theird period: Study hall
Lunch
Forth period: Spanish-Mr. Heserd
Fith period: Algebra 1- Mr. Kyaka
Sixth period: Geoagraphy Mrs. Elf
~Nobody
I grumble with anxiety as the bell rings and I walk towards Second period, English. Man, do I hate english. And school. I HATE ALL OF IT! Someone bumps into me and I jump. Us Freshman were always getting pushed around in this big highschool. I turn to see it was another Freshman, Bree, the one with the strange hair and weird tatoos. LIKE SERIOUSLY WHO GETS TATOOS AT 14?!
"Hey, Nobody. How's it going?"
First day of school, and already I'm making friends. Wait, was I? "What do you think, weirdo?" I snarle back, pushing my way into the english room.
She pauses, and I realize with dread that she had this class. She runs up and taps me on the sholder and says, "well, I hate it too, no need to take it out on other people."
Why was she so mad at me all of the sudden? "Hey, I wasn't taking it out on you. I would never. ANd actually, the first class was pretty fun, I love the new teacher, Mrs. Lina."
SHe gave me a weird look then snorted, "Mrs. Lima bean."
We started laughing and the teacher gave us a look. Mrs. Lock, was it? The bell rung and we fell silent. Suddenly I felt my hands shake. "Oh, no.." I whispered, reaching into my bag for my medications.
But I couldn't get a hold on the zipper. And I started shaking more violently. Mrs. Lock gasped and ran over. "The....medications..." I stummbled.
She ripped open the bag and pulled out the bottle, giving it to me. As I shook, I tried not to get it all over me.
I swallowed, and it immediatly stopped. At once I felt depressed and down, hating school. Mrs. Lock sighed and I grummbled.
"What was that?" Bree asked, worried.
"Oh, why don't I just tell everone now, let everyone in the whole school know that I'm bipoler? So everyone can judge me and make fun of me?"
I got up and left, heading home.
How was I ever going to go through school with this medical condition?
(November 17, 2016 - 8:43 pm)
Bree~
Earlier that year...
"Why are you taking Earth Physical Science?" my mother grumbled, "And English 1? So... low level!"
I sighed and rested my backpack on the table. "Mom, the only way I get to take AP Psychology is if I take this course. I'm sure I'll meet nice kids."
My mom sighed. "Why English 1?"
"They cover Latin roots. It's a requirement."
Mom sighed. "Well, sweetie, you know best. Are you sure you'd like to go to this school? It's near... the neighborhood."
I scowled. "The neighborhood" was the neighborhood my father lived in. He had a restraining order, but the thought of him being near me still frightened me a bit.
"I'll be fine, mom," I smiled, lying through my teeth.
----
"Nobody" left, storming out and dropping a paper in his wake.
"Hey-hey, man, wait!" I called. He turned back for a second, rolled his eyes at me, and left.
I opened the folded piece of paper and found a short passage of text...
(OK Claaws, it's up to you what the paper says!)
(November 19, 2016 - 3:22 pm)
Sorry for not posting. I'm insanely busy right now.
Erik
~
I don't go to school. I have more important things to do. I need to know everything about the world, everything that matters. BC Calculus doesn't matter. Five tips for writing a persuasive essay doesn't matter.
Knowing the ways of the world matters. I've learned most of the darker sides of the world, but I have yet to find out the rest.
Today is the time to start.
(November 18, 2016 - 4:29 pm)
I'll try to post soon, but I've been super busy. Maybe tomorrow.
(November 19, 2016 - 3:46 pm)
TOP! Don't let this die! Also, could one of your characters' family house Cricket? Her mom isn't able to come to the town with her.
