Chatterbox: Inkwell

Hey y'all. Just wanted to share a funny short story I wrote. It's very cheesy. Haha.

Once upon a time, there was Dough. 

Dough was a shapeless blob. It couldn't move. It could only sit in one place, growing and rising, and wait for the day it would be made into something.

One day, after weeks of waiting, Dough started to cry. It really was a very patient Dough, but it was lonely and sad. It could see birds and flowers just outside its window and it wished it could join them.

A bird came to Dough's window. It chirped at it and cocked it's pretty head. Dough sniffed, "Hello, Bird. I am so very lonely. Won't you stay with me?"

Bird merely chirped and cheeped, but it stayed with Dough. Dough told the Bird all about it's life. Dough concluded with, "And, so you see, Bird, I would rather not be a Dough at all."

To Dough's surprise, the bird whistled gently, "But, Dough, don't you know how very lucky you are? You are a pizza Dough."

"A pizza Dough?" it asked in surprise. "What's that?"

The Bird chirped and fluttered it's wings excitedly. "Why, a pizza Dough is the most wonderful kind of dough! They put sauce and cheese on you and everyone loves a pizza Dough."

"Everyone?" Dough asked wistfully.

"Everyone." Solemnly declared the Bird.  

"Oh! Then I guess it's a good thing I'm a pizza Dough. Thank you, Bird. I can wait as long as it takes, now."
