Evernaught City RP
You never meant to move here. Beneath the facade of the bustling work city you live in, there lies a plague: a plague of crime. In the stone labyrinth that is Evernaught city, five vigilantes have risen up to take on the crime.
The vigilantes don't have superpowers, aren't even all perfect. They wear masks. They have code names. They fight crime. The similarities to superheroes stop there.
Seven people can join. The positions are:
5 vigilantes
2 main villains
RULES:
No superpowers under any circumstances.
No OPness or impossile tech (like invisibility cloaks, none of that).
Name: Willomena Zora Bartholomew
Name as a "superhero": Will o' Wisp

Uh... Shaia's snakes are very deadly, and I don't think some antivenom could cure a victim... I was thinking that Shaia could have the cure, for emergencies, then the vigilants could, later, sneak in a try to get it.

The deadliest snake in the world is the black mamba, and it has available antidotes on the market. I think Will probably got some just to deal with Skylar's snakes.

"Saana!" I yell, furious. "You used to be a villain! You know how to protect yourself! You-"
She barely looks up. "Shut up, Andy."
I resist the urge to choke her myself.
Shaia walks into the room. Oh no. "Where's the prisoner?" she asks impatiently.
I swallow. "Somewhere."
Shaia's eyes glitter dangerously. "You don't know?"
"I know where," I say hastily.
"Where is the prisoner?" Shaia repeats icily.
"I'll find her," I say. I grab Saana's hand and run, yanking her along. Behind me I can hear the hissing of snakes...

Zandibar~
We've reached HQ. I've held this in long enough. I grab Gem's shoulders and force her to look at me.
"What were you thinking? Haven't you figured out you're in danger yet? They're trying to get you, Gem! You can't put yourself in danger! Going out alone at night? Seriously? What were you even thinking?" I shout at her. I'm so angry. Any control I have over my temper is completely gone. What should have been an easy-in easy-out 'rescue' to get Saana utterly failed. All because of Gem. We didn't even get Saana!
Will pulls me away from Gem. "Calm down Za-Skylock. She's had a rough night. Cut her some slack, she's scared," she forces me into a chair.
"She should be scared! She nearly killed us all!"
"Shouting at her isn't going to help! Just sit still until you can talk like a civil human being! I'm serious! Don't even move until you get a hand on your temper!" Will snaps at me, glaring me into submission. That girl can look downright murdurous when she's angry. I press my lips together and breath deeply through my nosey.
Will turns back to Gem.
"Are you ok? What did they do to you?" Will pauses, then adds, "Other than being bitten by a snake and stuck with a needle, of course."
"Other than getting bitten by a snake and stuck with a needle, not much," she shudders, "I really hate needles." Will nods sympatheticly,
"Has the pain gone away completely? Maybe we should take you to the hospital. Just to be on the safe side." Gem's eyes widen, and she answers too quickly,
"N-no! I-I mean yes, I'm fine, and no, you don't have to take me to the hospital! I'm fine! Really!" Will and I exchange glances.
"We should at least call your mom. What's her number?" I suggest, my voice it's usual tone again. This idea seems to panic Gem even more.
"No! You can't call- she would kill- that is, I don't- Please don't call her!" she stammers nervoisly. She won't meet either of our eyes. I glance at Will again. Gem is clearly hiding something. But what?
(October 6, 2016 - 2:56 pm)
~Gem
I stutter. How can I explain that I work to live and that my mom doesn't suport me, only takes my pay. And My mom said I can't go to the hospital. There was something that had to do with my name. Something...something... I was an expeiriment! I try to stand up, only to fall into the chair again. I can't do this!

AAAAHHHHAHAHAHAHA! I WROTE NOSEY INSTEAD OF NOSE! ZANDI IS HAVING A TEMPER TANTRUM AND I WROTE NOSEY? THIS IS THE FUNNIEST THING EVER! Zandibar and Will are having a serious moment and I completely ruin the whole thing by writing nosey! This is what happens when you don't proof read! HAhahahahaha! This is so funny!

Kay, I'm really confused. Where does my name come from? Am I subject GAMMA?
(October 7, 2016 - 8:07 am)
(October 7, 2016 - 12:30 pm)
Yes, Gem is subject Gamma. I assume that's how she got her name. Maybe we need them to find out their backstory, and it could go something like they were either stolen from their parents while still in the hospital after birth, then expirimented on, or they were injected with some other type of DNA or something like that while they were still fetuses/ unborn babies. We don't have to use this, it's just an idea.
(October 7, 2016 - 12:36 pm)
Sure. Mabye Gem's 'mom' took her in for money since she's so greedy.

To everybody in this rp: I AM SO SORRY!!!!! I have school projects galore, and I somehow can't find time to post (improbable as that seems). I will try to be more active this weekend, but If I still can't find time, I'll probably have to drop out of this rp. :( So could someone please give me a quick update on what's happening? I understand that there are 3 test subjects which are Gem, Willomena, and Zandibar (I'm not an experiment! Yay!) But I don't know anything else. Thanks!
P.S. Again, I'm sorry
P.P.S I think everybody forgot about me :( But that's ok, it's my fault for not posting enough. So I will make it up to you :)

Hi! I'm back! Thank you very much for keeping this thread alive.
Saana~
I glance down at the ropes binding me. They're black and tight and poisoned so that they cause severe pain to those imprisoned. I clench my teeth and work on loosening them to escape when Will bursts into the room in surprise. A moment later the room is completely enshrouded in smoke, obscuring my vision and stinging my eyes.
A knife flashes in the corner of my eye. I brace myself for pain, but none comes. The person, who I couldn't see well, cut through the ropes, sending me tumbling to the floor, massaging my arms and wrists in pain. All around me, dark figures and disconnected shrieks echo around the room. Funny thing is, I'm the only one who's not on either side. Either side I probably end up dead on, although with the vigilantes it may involve less... torturing, let's say.
I duck my head and keep to the walls, skirting the edges and searching for a way out. The poison from the ropes seeps into me, pain slicing my skin like a knife.
Almost to the exit. 15 feet. 10 feet. I break into a run and slam into Rex. He opens his mouth and then closes it again, not knowing what to say. A mixture of hatred and concern cloud his face. It makes me wonder which will win out.
From behind appears Will O' Wisp, panting and a bit bloody. Rex lunges over and grabs Gem around the neck. Will's eyes widen, but quickly narrow. All of the sudden she's wrapped her hand around my throat, lifting me off the ground with a knife held to my neck.
Something crosses Rex's eyes, something I'd never seen before. Could it have been... fear? I can see a battle raging in his head, though it lasts but a fraction of a second. One side wins out. "Don't kill her!" he yells. A look of surprise flits across my face. "Give me Gem, and Saana here is yours."
Rex nods, quickly, curtly, and I find myself shoved, stumbling, into Rex. And with that, the vigilantes disappear. Gem with them.
~~~
Rex turns on me furiously. "Saana! You used to be a villain! You know how to protect yourself! You-"
"Shut up Andy," I mutter. I didn't need him yelling at me anymore. I don't know what happened back there. I felt... powerless. Weak. My skin was crisscrossed with red from where the ropes were. Everything seemed to echo strangely in my head. I was exhausted. I hadn't gotten enough food when I was imprisoned, nor enough sleep. Both sides, vigilantes and villains alike hated me. I had nowhere to go.
Shaia burst into the room. "Where's the prisoner?"
"Somewhere?" Rex replies uncertaintly.
"You don't know?"
"I know where."
"Where is the prisoner?"
"I'll find her." Rex grabs on to my hand and runs. We sprint out onto the street. Somehow it seems that Skylar and Shaia wouldn't let us go look that easily. They certaintly wouldn't let me go wherever I wanted, and after Rex's first attempt to capture Gem, I doubt they'd let him try again any time soon. I glance about uneasily as Rex and I race towards the vigilante headquarters, feeling certain that we were being followed.
Whew. That was probably my longest rp post ever. Sorry I didn't make more happen. I had a lot to catch up on. I'll most likely post again tomorrow. Whew.
Of course. Of course they wouldn't let us get away that easily. Especially Saana, the traitor. I was a fool for thinking we could just run.
The hissing behind me gets louder. Shaia's snakes. I break into a dead run, Saana stumbling behind me.
We're in a rough part of town now, a part with broken-down streets and collapsing buildings. I recognize it, but I don't know my way around. I'm almost tripping over the cracked pavement.
Suddenly I freeze. The road breaks off abruptly just in front of my feet. We're on a hill. I swallow and look down. The drop is at least forty feet.
I shiver. I can't seem to get enough air. "I can't do this," I whisper.
"There's no other choice," Saana says.
"Can you make it?" I ask. "You're hurt."
"No I'm not," she argues. "But you're scared of heights." For once, she seems more concerned than mocking. I mean, there are deadly snakes behind us.
The hissing is very near now. "Go," I say. "Don't wait."
She hesitates for a second, then nods and begins to climb down.
The snakes are here. They're wrapped around Shaia's arm.
I would almost prefer it if Shaia said something; she just stands there smiling maliciously. The snakes slither toward me, hissing loudly. I stumble backwards in terror, forgetting where I am in my fear.
And I fall.
(October 8, 2016 - 6:50 am)
~Shaia
I watch him fall, and hear his screams echoing and amplifying, and feel strange feelings mixing inside of me, but I keep my face calm, plain, and cruel. Saana stares at me, just looking. I wish she would say something, but her look is worse than words.
I stare back at her, my hands clenching into fists, my snakes twisting around my arms, and I wonder if Rex is still alive. Or if I've killed him. It should make me glad, or I shouldn't care about it, but I can't help hoping that I haven't killed another person.
I walk over to the cliff, and look down, but I can't see him. Saana choses that moment to attack, pouncing on top of me, screaming, "What have you done?"
Her eyes are red, and she's furious, trying to push me over the ledge. We scramble with each other for a few moments, then she's backing away, toward the cliff, and I'm walking toward her, weapon in hand.
Fear flickers in her eyes, and defiance, and she turns, and leaps off the cliff, a beautiful, tragic bird. For a moment, she looks back at me, her black(?) eyes boring into me. And with a lift of her head, she's gone. I stare down as she falls, until she's out of sight, making no sound, unlike Rex. That two people now. Two people I might have killed. And one that I have killed. Oh, what have I turned into?
I feel something warm on my face, and realize that a tear is coming out of the corner of my eye. Angrily, I wipe it away, turning and walking back to the headquarters. Skylar looks up as I come in.
"Rex and Saana are both at the bottom of the cliff."
"Alive or dead?"
I shrug, "Not sure, yet."
She nods, looking out the door, "Okay."
But of course, we're both not as nonchalant as we seem.
