New Hospital RP

Chatterbox: Inkwell

New Hospital RP

New Hospital RP

I did make another one of these but have no idea where it went. So if you see it, ignore it.

Ok, here it goes.

I would like to keep the amount of main characters under twenty please, because over that it just gets only confusing.

Character sheets should look like this:

Name: Mary Thomastin

Age: 13

Appearance: light curly/straight/wavy hair( trust me it's possible). Hazel eyes. 5'1 .

Personality(only the basic points): usually content with everything, likes animals, serious sometimes, sometimes easily annoyed or angered. Bit of an artist. Strong opinions. Loves conversation, but likes quiet too.

Condition: Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (also known as Chronic Myeloid Leukemia).

Info(on the condition): It's a cancer of the blood(leukemia). The white blood cells do not mature normally and collect in various places of bone marrow in the body. ( that's the shortened version)

Treatment:Chemotherapy, Stem Cell Transplant

How long i've been there at the hospital(HLIBT@H)(you can also start your story a little bit before you get to the hospital): not there yet.

Friends outside the hospital(FOH): Emily Ackíl

Immediate Family: Mom(Jane), Dad(Thomas), and Will( my 11 yr old brother)

Sorry, if the character sheets are too long. You may condense them if you like.

If you need any help finding an illness  you can look up the websites of CHOP(children's hospital of Philadelphia), St. Luke's children's hospital, or any hospital near you.

Setting: We're all inpatients at Clearview Children's hospital( I don't know where to put it).

It doesn't matter if a few of you have the same illness, unless the other persons protest.

Anyone can start.

Ok, that seems to be all.

I have no idea how this ended up in the back. Some of the stuff in the back is pretty interesting.

Sorry, if my replies may be doubled. My computer is glitchy.

One of my many faults is the fact that I'm rather impatient. So if you all don't mind, I'm goign to start.

Ugh! "Do I have to?" I was trying to be sarcastic. But unfortunately everybody takes me way too seriously now. To think I used to want to be taken seriously. I have to admit, I wanted to be under my own circumstances.  "Yes, you do," my mom looked at me with pity. She put a hand to my forehead. "Are you feeling all right?"

I snapped. I hate that question. "No! I'm not! Because, guess what!, I have cancer! I don't think cancer ever feels good!"  How many times have I heard that question in the last two days.  It felt good to finally let out my response, that I had rehearsed in my head so many times.  But the sinking of my stomach had nothing to do with the symptoms of my particular condition. I knew I had gone too far. I saw a tiny tear glistening in the corner of my mom's eyes. My mom is not one for crying, ever. That changed this week.  My anger and frustration evaporated as quickly as I came.

I felt my face soften into a comforting skating smile, or at least that's what I tried to do. I hugged my mom over the dashboard. " I'm sorry. I'm not ok, but I'm ok. If you know what I mean."

"It's fine, dear." she said as we pulled apart, casually wiping the tears from her cheeks. She got out of the car and beckoned to me Ina relatively cheery voice, "Get a move on."

The guilty feeling in my stomach didn't go away. Of course I can see right through her, she's my mom.  No, it's not ok, Mom.  I openned my door and stepped out, closed it again, and followed my mom to the front entrance of Clearview Children's Hospital.

The building was not the nicest, but it looked new. Actually because it was new. It only finished construction a few months ago. In fact it still had it's 'Grand Oping!' sign hung over the sliding glass doors.

"Remind me again why I have to go to a half an hour away hospital?"I asked. I looked suspiciously up at the building.

"Because Dr. Roberts recommended it,"she replied flatly.

"So now you only listen to Dr. Roberts and not me?" I asked sarcastically. Sighing and saying 'Get over it!' in my head over and over, I went inside and took a deep breathe of steril air.

Mom went over to the front desk, while I plopped down in one of the blue cushioned chairs. I looked over at the TV running in a corner of the ceiling. I showed a rerun of Sesame Street.  "Mary!" I looked up. My mom was standing next to a nice looking nurse, calling me over. The nurse smiled at me as I approached. That's how their trained, don't be fooled. All the nurses can probably smile like that in their sleep. But I tried to keep the hostility out of my face. I don't think i was very successful. Because the nurse just smiled wider. Then she turned and silently gestured for us to follow her, her straight ginger hair flowing behind her. She's almost skipping! Well, this IS a children's hospital. I bet they're supposed to run about, pretending to be happy and cheery. I'd hate to work in a hospital. I knew I was being a little unreasonable, but I didn't feel very reasonable right then. Instead of imagining conspiracies about the nurses and staff, I tried to occupy myself by studying the walls. While following my mom and Ms. Smiley, of course. The walls were colorfully painted and had quite a few depictions of animals and cartoon people. There were also aquariums and digital maps. These interest me because they are fish and electronics, but otherwise verything else is rather boring. "We're here. ' My head shot up. Ms. Smiley was ushering me and my mom into a doctor's office, which was labeled as Dr. Roberts office.

I'll write more soon. I'm participating in NaNoWriMo for the first time this year, so I may be rather busy this month.

The RP is still open to all who would like to participate, and you can leave anytime as long as you tell me first.

This RP is now null and void, due to the fact that it died, had only one member, and there's a new one.
