FANTASY REALM CONTEST!

Hi everyone! This is a completely new idea I came up with that I don’t believe has ever been done before on the CB. Basically, we have two teams: Team Ariasol and Team Terranova. Each team has a time limit (it will be about a month) to create a fantasy world of their own including a map, a roleplay, and several round robins (RR). The fantasy realm each team creates has practically no limits to it regarding species (like elves and dragons), magical powers, kingdoms, biomes, and magical creatures, except for the fact that the realms may not have more than 8 kingdoms/sections/countries (that is to keep things from getting too complicated).

Similar to Bumble Buddy’s ‘Writing Thing’ , some people on each team will have specific jobs in addition to contributing ideas for the world. The jobs are:

LEADER~ Organizes the team, makes threads for the team, keeps track of all the people that have joined. I will be one of the leaders of Team Terranova. (3 leaders per team)

ARTIST~ Artists have several tasks, including making depictions of characters on your team’s RP, making the map for your fantasy realm, and drawing pictures of certain magical objects or creatures if they want to. (3- 4 artists per team)

DICTIONARY NERD~ Creates new and creative fantasy words for their team. (2 dictionary people per team)

HISTORIAN~ Comes up with a short history for their team’s realm. The history can include legends and prophecies! (2 historians per team)

Some of you who want to join may end up without special jobs. I am placing people into teams, and all of the jobs except for leader will be first come, first served. Leaders will be chosen based on how active you are on the CB (and first come, first served).

At the end of the time limit, each team will submit a description of their world, a link to their RP, and a link to one of their Round Robins (whichever they think is best) to the judges. The judges will rate each team from 1-10 in all of the following categories:

~ Use of fantasy elements (magic, legendary creatures, etc.)

~ Characters (from the RP)

~ Kingdoms/Biomes

~ Artwork (including the map)

~ Storyline (this includes the storyline from the RP and RR, as well as the short history)

~ Creative use of names

Whichever team has the most points at the end wins the contest!

Note: All threads regarding this contest will be on the Inkwell. Also, no peeking at the other team’s threads! It is more fun if you don’t know what they are doing until the very end, when you can finally see all of the great ideas they have come up with!
