Dreams RPWe

Dreams RP

We are always told not to believe in the things that come into our heads at night. Visions. Dreams. Nighmares. But sometimes, even the unlikliest of things are true. Like a land beyond the world we stand on, where anything thinkable is possible— People grow wings, animals can talk, the world can be broken and repaired in two minutes.

This is a place of dreams, where we drift when we sleep. Where they come true— And where nightmares do too. In and out. You can always wake up, escape from it.

Except.

Now, there's something strange. A prophecy. Seven people have a series of recurring dreams, each one stretching longer and longer into their lives until they are trapped inside their own minds, thought to be insane in the Real World. The prophecy must be fufilled, or else there is no hope to ever get back.

Seven fish, caught

Unseen hands shall break the fall

All ropes twist inside out

The sky unfolds on the day of the Escaping

Hey guys! I haven't hosted or been in a RP for a while, so here's this! So, six people besides me can join. We will be the Seven mentioned in the above intro. ^ I hope this RP doesn't die (coughlikeallmyotheronescough), and I think I can be more faithful in the posting now that it's summer and I have fewer obligations! A couple things before the charrie sheet.

1. I would like some variation in the genders, not only female characters. (This makes things more interesting and realistic.)

2. I'm going to leave the plot slightly open, so that the story can unfold as we go. Help create the plot! Don't kind of just follow along pathetically, posting your characters opinions on what already happened, that kind of kills RPs.

3. No god modding, no OP charries. Typical RP fare.

4. If you can think of ways to incorperate a charrie without them being one of the 7, then

Presenting le charrie sheet!

Gender:

Personality:

Appearance:

Backstory:

Other:

My character is as follows.

Name: Ophelia (O) Reinhart

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Personality: Firey, determined. Loyal once you earn her trust (which is difficult). She will do what is nessecary to get her means, but often the line between what works and what's right confuses her. Jumps to conclusions a lot, but is not a daredevil. When she does things she makes a plan and does it right.

Appearance: Straight black hair that just skims the small of her back. It is usually pulled back into a ponytail. High cheekbones, sparkling dark almond eyes, and tanned skin. O is relatively tall, and of average build.

Backstory: O lives with her mom and little brother in an apartment in New York City. Her parents are divorced and her dad is in Wisconsin running a resteraunt. O goes to a private high school on a scholarship (her family would not be able to pay for tuition) where she has few friends. She has a dog named Sherlock.

Since there is one more of the Seven left, Tamya will now be one of the Seven. Here's her new charrie sheet:

Name: Tanya

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Personality: A hippy: peace, love, festivals.

Appearance: Long, wavy brown hair; tan skin; blue eyes. Wears flower crowns and beaded tie died shirts. Wears jean shorts.. Wears ankle bells and a bunch of anklets. Has henna in cool designs up her arms: it's permanent.

Backstory: Loves to dream, but her dreams usually involve festivals and the Grateful Dead. She is a singer in Raz and Daz, a Jam band. She is Daz. She performs in lots of festivals and goes to everyone possible.

Pavlavla said her first real word, take! It's party time! Turn up the Nahko music!

Question: The people who aren't one of the seven...can they go into dream worlds? Is the rule that they have to be with one of the seven? Can they visit their own dream world?

submitted by @Abi
(August 10, 2016 - 10:39 pm)

Yes, they can. Everyone who is living can access the dream world when they sleep, but the Seven are just stuck there until the prophecy is fufilled. Their friends can talk to them and visit them in the Dreamworld, but they can leave, i.e. wake up.

And now, we can begin.

~

O —

I am having a very strange dream. It's one of those ones where you linger half asleep, half awake, almost feeling your bed beneath you yet you're in the air.

Falling.

I'm falling, down, down, picking up speed, wind whistling in my ears and swirling my hair around my face. Yet I'm not scared, not worried. Faces are suddenly flashing by me. I whirl around to try and get a look at them, but they are disappearing as soon as I almost get a clear view of them.

A boy with bright green eyes, a girl whose halo of dark brown curls is thrown up by the wind, another girl with a flower crown resting on her long, wavy blond hair, and is that. . .

Toby?

His face doesn't disappear, but stays, coming slowly into focus. I reach out, but in a blink he disappears, and everything around me goes dark.

Seven fish, caught

Unseen hands shall break the fall

All ropes twist inside out

The sky unfolds on the day of the Escaping

The words echo suddenly through my brain, though there is nobody around to speak them. I'm falling faster now, and now I'm scared. The voice in my mind turns sinister.

Seven fish. . .

I can't stop. I'm trying desperately to wake up, slapping myself as hard as I can, but I can't. I'm stuck.

. . . Twist inside out. . .

I try to scream, but the words are caught in my throat and I gasp for breath.

The sky unfolds.

The sky unfolds.

And then I hit the ground, landing on my right arm. I hear it crack, pain shoots up like I haven't felt before. I expect myself to black out, but I don't. Instead the world around me gets lighter, lighter (Am I dead?) I move to push myself up with my good arm —

And now I'm sitting up in my bed, blue covers touseled around me, light streaming in through my window, sounds of New York outside. I reach up with my right arm, which is hanging unnaturally crookedly. It hurts, like a million needles are stabbing into every part, tingling in a horrible dance.

I feel a lump in my throat.

How did I break my arm in a dream?

Mark H.~

I still cannot believe what just happened.

I had a dream.

No, that's not the surprising thing. The surprising thing is that it was real.

I remembered going to sleep that night. I had normal dreams. But my last dream was...odd.

I was standing in a field. I noticed a hole. Of course, you're probably screeching not for me to go down it. Well, I did. And I fell.

You know the hole in Alice in Wonderland? Yeah. It was like that hole.

So I fell. And as I fell, I noticed faces flying with me. A girl with dark brown curls, a girl with blond hair, the faces are flashing by too quickly to see many details. Then I clap my hands to my ears as a voice as loud as nails on a blackboard scream in my head.

Seven fish, caught

Unseen hands shall break the fall,

All ropes twist inside out,

The sky shall fall on the day of the Escaping...

The voice got louder and louder. Fish, Escaping, ropes, hands...it kept repeating. I screamed, but no sound came out. Then I saw the ground.

My head came into collision with the ground, and-

I awoke.

I sat up in bed. The world spun. I held my head and blinked my eyes open and shut. Matthew mumbled something and turned over. The green curtains in the room fluttered up and down. The window was open. How did that happen? I stand up and slip out of bed. My head throbbed as I crawled to the window and shut it. I sat back down on the bed, sweating. Unfortunatly, I sat on Matthew's feet. He yelped and woke up, falling on the floor. I laughed, then grabbed my head again. Ouch.

"What's with you?!" Matthew hissed.

"Sorry," I mumbled. "Dream."

Matthew and I had always believed in the power of dreams, no matter what anyone said. He sat up straighter.

"Tell me."

"I fell down a hole."

"What?!"

This might take a while.

The Dreamweaver~

The Dreamweaver smelled two of the Seven.

After a moment, they were gone; back into the mortal world with a flash of light. Dreamweaver sensed one in the mortal world and created a scry-portal: a viewscreen of the boy's bedroom.

He and his brother are sitting on a bed, talking.

Dreamweaver sighed softly.

"Mark? Is that your name?" she trilled, "Can you hear me?"

Mark and Matthew cowered. Dreamweaver smiled and appeared in their bedroom.

Matthew began to yell, but Dreamweaver waved her hand and a gag appeared in his mouth. He yelped and stumbled back.

"Don't be afraid," Dreamweaver said, turning into a form that kept her color scheme but resembled a boy their age, "I come from that place you were in."

"The dream?" Mark asked. Matthew angrily tore out the gag.

"Who are you?" Matthew called. Dreamweaver shifted back to her ordinary 20-something girl form.

"I forgot my name a long time ago," she said, "call me The Dreamweaver."

She vanished as a girl entered the room...

Whoa.

Mark H.~

I resisted the urge to scream as...Dreamweaver...vanished and Paige banged the door open.

"What is the meaning of this?!? You know I need my beauty sleep!" Mark rolled his eyes. Paige was so annoying.

"Sorry." Matthew hissed back. Paige groaned loudly and huffed out the room.
