My quest. My
Chatterbox: Inkwell
My quest. My
My quest. My quest. No matter how often I repeated those words, I still couldn't believe it. I had finally been given a quest to do, which was the highest honor a young girl could be given. Before I go on, let me tell you a bit about myself. I am fourteen, getting close to my fifteenth birthday. I am the only child of the rich and noble family of the Ducwat family, a well known name throughout Pydria. The way to pronounce these are: dook-waht and p-aye-dree-ah. Anyway, I am considered a beauty in this land. I have thick, long, dark brown wavy hair, well shaped green eyes, fair, perfect skin and a neat, slender figure. I wear cunning dresses, and have good taste. Eventually, I caught the eye of the Court. They looked at my perfect grades in school, asked me a few questions, and watched me for the longest time before deciding I was ready for my own Quest. Each quest is different; each is for a different reason. I wondered where and in whose story I would be sent into. I would love to visit a palace of one of those interesting, romantic French kings, or those elegant English kings. I wished they were "real", that is, in my land. Although it was possible to travel through books, it could be dangerous and you could only get permission if you had a quest, revealed by the stars, themselves. I knew very well the dangers of novand traveling. Novand is a term used to describe book travel. The chief danger was, the Court could not tell you the specifics of the quest, and they couldn't help you. If you didn't solve your quest, you were doomed to stay in the book until you did. But I was willing to take the chance. My mother called me, "Lydiona Ashbelle, get down here this minute and get dressed. If you are late or untidily dressed, you will embarrass your father and I greatly! You have a splendid outfit, do hurry!"

This looks awsome! Can I join? Or help write? Or ask annoying questions?
(July 2, 2016 - 9:14 am)
YES!!!! This isn't a roleplay or a ski lodge, but anyone and everyone is welcome to join. If you make a charrie sheet, I will incorporate you in the story somehow... just tell me who you want to be and stuff about youre character. Although I am going to be the writer, if you suggest plots or ideas, I would love, love, love to hear. And yes, ask annoying questions. I don't mind. :) Thanks for youre interest!

I have a charrie!
Name: Sylani
Age: 12
Appearance: Shortish blond hair, blue eyes, wears fancy dresses and is medium height.
Nickname: Lani
Personality: She is the daughter of rich merchants, and has everything she could ever wish for, but she's not as stuck-up as you might think. She's pretty friendly and helpful, and treats her servants (yes, she has servants) fairly.

Could I help write? Like instead of suggesting things, write segments of story for you to look at and deside to add or ignore.
(July 2, 2016 - 3:19 pm)
Sure! I need suggestions. :)
And thank you everyone for your support!

Wow! This is great! I am going to join, if its okay with you. I think that she should be sent to a farm where she has to learn, um, something. But send her somewhere to humble herself. Here is my Charrie sheet:
Name: Pelanya Jerant Nasline (Pehl-on-yah Ger-ahnt N-aw-sl-eyene) but everyone calls her Anya
Age: 15
Talents: She is a beautiful singer and dancer, and has a survival instinct
Personality: Smart, shy, simple, hardworking, cheerful, good common sense, loves animals, courageous
Appearance: average height, freckles, neatly braided auburn hair that is slightly golden (she has naturally colored hair), grey eyes. Not beautiful but certainly attractive
Character Role: hopefully she and Lydiona can be companions, against their will, and later become friends.
Background: a farmers girl, but orphaned and looks out for odd jobs.
(July 2, 2016 - 2:34 pm)
Oops, forgot her last name.
(July 2, 2016 - 5:38 pm)
Name: Brookeira
Appearance: White hair, sea green eyes, very pale, pointed ears
Personality: VERY smart, calm
Story Idea: I could be an elven mage who helps you on your quest?
(July 2, 2016 - 2:54 pm)
This is amazing, Elmodaisy!! Keep the good work!

Hi! So I am new here. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I make my one story with the character sheets.
HELP
I am clueless.
To start a new thread, on any section of Chatterbox, look for the the box near the top left that says "Click here to talk about ____." That will bring up a form with a box where you can type what you want to say. A story should go on Inkwell, or on Pudding's Place if it's more like a play.

Thank you so much. I actually figured out how to make a story; it is the third down first page titled ...
but I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to title the thread?
thank you so much Admin You are a life save.
I think the title will just be the first few words of the comment you submit. So just start with the title.

(Story Continued)
I jumped, startled, then hurried down to my mother. It truly was a splendid dress. It was a white silk dress, with a full skirt, narrow corset, and a low neckline. It was trimmed with the most delicate lace, pearls, and red roses, as well as stunning rubies. My beautiful hair hung in ringlets, and I had dainty silk slippers. My maid powdered me, and as i surveyed myself in the mirror I smiled and twirled, rubies glittering in the light. "Lydiona! Hurry!" My mother called impatiently from the carriage. I swept out of my room after a last glance at myself. Being helped in the carriage by our footman, we rolled away, I feeling like a princess.
When we got there, we entered the Court's room and I made a low curtsy as I had been taught. I retired to a chair, and listened; unless addressed, it would be impudent for me to speak. Murmering to my parents, I could not hear a word the Court said, although I strained my ears to the utmost. But my mother turned white, my father said "What!" in a very abrupt voice. I inwardly groaned. I definetely was not going to a castle. A kindly member of the Court came over to me and said comfortingly, "Your quest, Miss, is a truly noble one, and I hope you will find it to your liking." I smiled a bit weakly at him. All this suspense was killing me. Finally, after an eternity of waiting, they called the Court together. The President made a speech: "We have gathered here today to grant a Quest to Lydiona Ashbelle Ducwat. If the said Lydiona Ducwat failes to complete her quest, she will remain in the book she has Novanded in. Lydiona, do you confirm that this is a decision made of your own free will?" I swallowed, and replied shakily, "I do." "And do you know of the dangers of Novand traveling?" "I do." "Then, in the name of the Court, I grant you a Quest. The stars have revealed to us your quest, but it is up to you to find it out. Good luck, Miss Ducwat. You may enter the book and start your Quest." A book was glowing in the middle of the book. I gave a last look at my parents, my eyes filled with tears, and I stepped in the burning bright light.

I am terrible with names. So when I write, I have trouble with names for my characters. So could someone give me some ideas for my character's name? Thanks.
