I remember mentioning something like this a while back, but I never got to make it. Anyway, 1 charrie per person, and 10 people (counting me) may join. 
The Premise:
How could destruction have come in such a golden time? It was, as many people said, the peak age of humanity, where poverty was all but gone and intelligence was widely spread. How, when almost no one was ignorant, could corruption come to the Government? Unfortunately, the Government had always been like that. It was just waiting-waiting for the right chance to pounce. 
Suddenly, taxes were higher than ever before. People struggled to pay, and many fell deeply into debt. As poverty began to rise for the first time in one hundred years, people panicked. Then, the government sent out a wonderful, horrible proclamation- if a family could send in a single child, a child with odd and interesting powers or intriguing control of the mind, that family's taxes would become almost nonexistent. 
Children of that type were rushed to the government almost immediately, and an uncomfortable peace fell once more. But then, the virus was released. 
It was a fierce green fire of jungle and nature. Trees sprouted in cities every day. A mesh of vines disabled most roads. Predators- predators that were supposed to be extinct- roamed the world once again. Technology was useless. The people called out desperately to their government, but it has mysteriously disappeared. 
Meanwhile, the children were kept far away from the jungle outside. They all lived in a city surrounded by steel walls with an artificial sky, and knew nothing but metal, marble, and stone. 
We are the children in the City of Exillia. We all have strange powers that the Government seems to want. They keep us in cell-like dorms, test our powers every day, and, if we ever try to rebel, they take us to the "Happy Room" and wipe our memories. None of us have any memories of the past. Hope is scarce. But, we all have one secret, burning desire- to escape and find out what is Outside.

The Happy Room? Creepy... *shudders*

NAME: Alyce

PERSONALITY: Stubborn, tries to be kind, rather shy.

APPEARANCE: Wavy golden-brown hair to her shoulders.

POWER: Utter techy geek. Not just mechanical, but can create robots from scrap metal in only a few hours.

THOUGHTS ON ESCAPING: Desparately wants to escape, but is terrified of the Happy Room after being there twice.

Personality; Cruel, mean. Wants to be best 

Appearence; Blocks Himself from most people's view, but tall, with black eyes and wild hair

Powers; Telepath

Number of Times in Happy room; none, bends mind of all instructers of transgressions. 

Thoughts on Escaping; Memory shattered from fight with other telepath,  and is unsure about escaping.

Other; Is extremly sensitive, but hides it through cruelty.

NAME: Meera
AGE: 14
PERSONALITY: She's brave and reckless and feels everything too much. She's got a way with words and people- she's a rabble rouser, a bringer of revolution. She's hard working and smart, but it's all eclipsed by her desire to get out, to break the system.
APPEARANCE: Straight red hair that reaches her shoulders, gray eyes, tanned skin, freckles. Lean and tall with subtle muscles. 
POWER: She can send her senses away from her like she's unreeling a hook from a fishing line. Sometimes she'll lose her sense of smell for a week because of it, but it'll mostly end up with her knowing stuff she shouldn't be able to. 
NUMBER OF TIMES BEEN IN THE HAPPY ROOM: Multiple times, but before she goes she'll write down the really important stuff she needs to know and hide it in a secret spot she knows of. Sometimes they find it in time, but right after her time in the Happy Room she'll ask one of her friends where the spot is, and then she'll send her sight out to that spot. 
THOUGHTS ON ESCAPING: She's going to do it, or die trying.

APPEARANCE: long beautiful blonde hair with a streack of purple scary gray eyes freckes dotted across her nose
POWER: mind reading, able to move things with her mind 
NUMBER OF TIMES BEEN IN THE HAPPY ROOM: 36 and she still has hasy memories witch get her into a lot of trouble
THOUGHTS ON ESCAPING: all the time 24/7 everyone thinks that everything here is great but she knows different, but even her best friend sometimes thinks that escaping, and Zoe, are lost causes
