I am writing

Chatterbox: Inkwell

I am writing

I am writing a story- it's about a kid (haven't decided yet who it will be...) WHo discovers that there is literally magic in our words that we write, and Ink holds power. I know this sounds a little bit like The girl who writes the future, (crowd sorcery) but I am writing it strictly for me and my family's own pleasure. :)

Do you awesome writers have any ideas? Names, maybe? DO you think it should be in our world, or a totally different one? WHat could go wrong with having a huge secret about ordinary ink that everyone uses?

I always have good ideas for beginnings, but I find it hard to carry through iwth the whole story!

I'm the exact same! I've started at least twenty stories in the last year and have never gotten past the first chapter. You should definitely finish this one though, this is an awesome idea!

For names-

I like the girl names Kate, Lucy, Lydia, Theresa, Clara, Raven, Emilie, Rachel, Rebecca (or Becka), Ruth, Scarlett, Frejya, and Marissa. Kind of weird, but...

I like the boy names Andrew, Peter, Luke, Domonic, Nate, Oliver, Jack, Martin, Asher, Gray, Seth, Sage, Levi, and Eric.

I don't know what could go wrong with having a secret to ordinary ink. Maybe some people will find out about it and use it to take over the world or something? Or use it for something bad? Just throwing out ideas here...

I think it should be in our world! That would be so cool. Maybe their could be another world that characters go into... I don't know.

Keep updating us on it! I will happily edit it for you if you need an editor.

Ooo! Good names. I really like the name Frejya, I've never seen it spelled that way!

Thanks! I feel creative juices flowing already... Hmmm...

Welcome to the Chatterbox, the Land of Inspiration!

Female names: ERIANTHE. Erianthe is Greek for something. I can't remember what. Erianthe could be a supporting character if you like the name.

Male names: Maybe Jack? I don't know.

I think it should be in our world as hope that not all magic is gone from the Earth.

Also, does your shift key stick?

Ooh, Erianthe is a cool name! And if you wanted, Ann or Anna could be a nickname.

That would be so cool! How exactly do you think you say it?

i think I'm going to set in our world. I think that would make it more exciting. :D

It sounds like an awesome idea! I have the same problem with starting stories and never finishing them....

Maybe the magical ink is known only by your main character's village/town/wherever they live, and the ink's powers mysteriously disappear?

For a world, possibly a mediveal-type village/town, like The Luck Uglies if you've read it or The Witch's Boy ( these are both AMAZING books!)

Girl Names: Mariella, Anya, Kyra, Marya, Elise, Maeve, Ashlynn, Willow, Tamara

Boy Names: Ummm... I'm horrible with these, but how about : Thomas, Julian, Eamon?

Smile Happy Writing!

I haven't decided yet where exactly my character will live. I was thinking if it is another world/time period, I would set in a scene a lot like what you were describing! Good ideas!

Okay. This sounds SO COOL! I think the kid should be a girl, because most of these kinds of stories are about boys. Here are my favorite names:

Abrianna. Aalya. Fayla. Marlaine (my personal favorite).

I also think that this story should take place in another world..

Good luck with your story! I can't wait to hear it!

I've got some good name ideas, BUT ONLY IF THIS DOESN'T GET PUBLISHED. *glares* What? I'm just protective of my awesome idea names that took forever to come up with.

Girl names: Neri, Nala, Sari, Shasta, Iulia (pronounced Yulia), Tatiana, and that's it!

I have trouble finishing writing books as well! I guess everyone does. Usually I have a lot of good ideas but I just get really busy and forget to write. The farthest I've gotten in a book was... Chapter 8 I think but the chapters were fairly short.

Girl name ideas; Claire, Alex (Allyx is a cool spelling of that, if you want cool fantasy names), Camille, Camilla, Bella, Zoë, Drea (just came up with that now), Elsie, Sirena, Cleo, Joslyn, and Lily.

It should be in a different world, I think.

Maybe since everyone uses ordinary ink people could release power and do magic stuff they don't even know their doing, or maybe someone's pen explodes (you know when that happens? SO annoying) and they get certain OP (overpowered) powers or they release some evil magical... Pen....spirit... thing...? I don't know.

Hope this helped! Good luck on your story!

I think you should set it in a different world and it's all midevilly and stuff. And I totally agree with the girl thing.
