Ice, fire, nature and darkness,
The four clans of Amesria.
Three good and one heartless,
The darkness is gone and forgotten.
The Icelings have ice powers and live on sheet ice/tundra. Flamelings have fire powers and live in the desert. And Sproutlings have nature powers and live in the forest. They are the three clans of Amesria. But our characters have to stop the Darklings, the fourth and final clan, from destroying Amesria. Here are my characters.

Name: Ice
Age: 14

Splinter
~~
The Darkling in front of me made no sound, only lifted his hand and pointed it at me. I backed away, shivering in his unnatural aura. Normally I can read people's auras fine; not sense their thoughts, but get a general feeling of their tone, their posture... his was none. His was gone. Suddenly my world gave an odd shudder and I was plunged into a black haze. It felt like I had just handed my will to someone else... I was happy to be controlled... then a sharp, white flash and a scream of pain jerked me back to reality. Brighteyes was clamped onto the Darkling's leg, snarling as she bit down. The Darkling kicked her away angrily, but by that time I managed to gather enough strength to use my power on him. Breathing in deep, I summoned a swarm of glimmering, sharp, shards of ice and freezing, pin-prick snow that I whirled at the Darkling.
"I'm not called Splinter for nothing!" I shouted over the growing wind as the blizzard encircled the confused and flustered Darkling. "I can create powerful blizzards of splintering shards! Get it?" Then, leaving the frozen and sliced Darkling staggering around, I raced, terrified, with Brighteyes out into our village. I don't even know what happened to my mother, if she'll sleepily wake up to find an enraged Darkling in her home, maybe prepared to kill... Oh God, let her be alive, I think, tears running down my face.

Jade~
Hurry, Point! I think desperately. "Any last words, Sproutling?" the girl snarls, her dagger at my throat. I try to stall for time. "Beautiful day, isn't it?" I say with my most innocent smile. She drives the tip of her knife into my throat, drawing blood. "How dare you insult me, girl! I will kill you very painfully." Oh good. While she's planning on how to kill me, Point can get help and I'll escape. Yeah, right. She can kill me just by raising her hand. The little girl studies me, a mocking look on her face. Maybe her powers aren't fully developed yet. She can't be more than eight years old. Then again, I'm only eleven. This situation cannot end well. I look around, enjoying my last view of the forest, and something catches my eye. A very tall tree on the other side of the girl seems to be leaning, about to fall down. Its bark is black and split at the top, like it was struck by lightning. Maybe the Darkling's presence had been enough to harm the tree. Summoning all my strength, I will the tree to fall down. It doesn't work, and the girl notices me making a strange face. "What are you doing? Oh, I don't care. I've decided how to kill you now." Before she can do anything, I try again, using every bit of willpower I've ever had. The tree sways forward, then back, causing the Darkling to turn around. In the split second that she is caught off guard, I dash to the tree. She follows me, exactly what I want. When I make it to the tree, the girl is two yards behind me. Thinking fast, I push the tree, channeling all my powers into it. That's all it takes for it to fall to the ground. Right as the Darkling is about to reach me, the tree crushes her flat into the ground. The cold, killing look leaves her face as the life withdraws from her body. What have I done? I think.
My energy source is completely depleted. Using so much power can kill someone if they aren't careful. I barely have enough strength to leave the place, but I eventually come to a thick, wooded area, well hidden from most predators. What have I done? I think for the second time. I have killed a Darkling. What kind of consequences are there for that? Can they even die? All this thinking is making me tired, so I find a patch of bushes that don't have thorns in them, and lie down. As soon as my head hits the ground, I fall into a deep slumber.

P.S. If anyone is ever being attacked by my charrie Chalfon, please tell me so I know. Thanks!
P.S.S. Can Darklings die? Just wondering.
(May 2, 2016 - 6:33 pm)
Yes, Bluebird. Darklings can die. And the one in your thingy is dead.
(May 3, 2016 - 7:18 am)
Sorry I haven't posted. Because I am Jewish I can't use electronics on friday nights and Saturdays. I'm kinda confused about your charrie, Miss T. I looked in the charrie sheets and I couldn't find yours anywhere. Did I just miss it? Also, do you mind posting the name of your charrie at the top of the post?
Mimosa~
I pull the long thorn out of Dapple's paw with a wince. He whines and I stroke his fluffy white and gray head.
"Shh, it's gone now, Dapple," I tell him, "its out now. Good boy." I put the thorn in my pocket and stand up. Something crashes through the bushes behind me and I spin around, startled. A mangey little dog comes bounding up to me, barking crazily. He races back and forth on the path, then grabs my sleeve and starts tugging me towards the river.
"What's up? Where are you takeing me?" I ask him, but he just keeps pulling me. I follow him to the river, and nearly run over a girl on the ground. The dog starts licking her face, still barking. I nudge him out of the way and roll the girl onto her back. It's Jade, one of the other Sproutlings. She snores slightly, so I know she's not unconcies. What's she doing, sleeping in the middle of the day in the woods? I gentley shake her shoulder. Her eyes flutter open and she stares blearily up at me.
"Jade, what happened? What are you doing?" I ask.
"Darklings... they're here..." she mutters sleepily, "one was going to kill me, but I-"
"Jade, you were dreaming," I tell her, "don't worry, everything's fine. Darklings were banished long ago."
"No, there was one," Jade insistes, "by the river. I'll show you." She gets up and walks to the bank of the river. A huge tree has fallen into the river. Underneath, there is a little girl with red eyes. A darkling.

So there are two Darklings now? Also, I can imagine if they can die.
__
Fauna~ My tornado spins around the Darkling as I see frozen water shards swirl around him also. The green leaves and the sparkling ice mix together, two very different forms, engulfing the same creature. A look of terror flashes in his eyes, and he suddenly, before I know it, he's gone.
I stare at another person that was near him. She was exclaiming some words, and I can only assume she was the girl who made the snow and ice. A fluffy Arctic fox is by her side, and even though the Darkling is gone, she still seems afraid.
Just then, another sound is heard. I whip my head to my right, and see another Dakling, a female, chasing after another girl. The girl has her hnds extended, and she makes a giant tree fall down, crushing her attacker.
I grin. I always know a Sproutling when I see one.
Finally, she collapses and hides behind some thick shrubbery. She seemed to stagger around, as if she was injured, and her hand is cradling her throat.
My thoughts flash between the two girls. I wonder which one I should go to. I'm pretty sure both of them need help.

leaving this open-ended for stuff.

~Ember~
I watch as the two girls destroy the Darkling. He lays on the ground, red eyes faded and staring off into nowhere. I turn to thank the girls, but one seems distracted. She starts to leave. I look at the other girl. "Thank you," I say. She looks shaken and even if the Darkling is gone, she looks afraid.
"Your welcome," she finally croaks. Morningblaze, the girl behind me, thanks the Iceling, too.

Emma~
I stepped out of the Tree, yawning. Lorcan stepped out behind me. He was getting so big! Soon he wouldn't be able to fit into the door. A morning ride just what I needed. Lorcan lowered a wing, making it easier for me to get on. We swooped up into the air until the treetops were far below us. I gazed at the beautiful forest, shrouded in fog. It was perfect. And then I saw it. A tree, blazing up. Cautiously, me and Lorcan landed by the tree. I gasped. I saw a tall, bony figure in a black cloak. Spiky dark hair fell down her back. She was burning the tree. What? No sproutling would burn a tree. Then it wasn't a sproutling. But who was it? The figure whipped around. She had the face of...my old best friend, Laura.
"Laura?"
She spoke with a croak and a smile. "Hello. But I'm not Laura."
Her eyes were red like Darklings in legends. I was too astounded to be afraid. Lorcan wasn't. He lashed his tail and hissed at Laura-creature.
Laura-creature hissed back. "Do you want me to burn you?"
Lorcan shrank back. Was it really a Darkling? I spoke up. "Don't burn that tree."
"Oh yeah? What are you going to do about it?" Fire built in my chest, creeping up my throat. And out of my mouth. And into the Darkling's face. Laura-creature screamed, a high-pitched, ear-piercing sound.
"You won't see the last of me, Emma! It takes more than that to defeat my kind. Don't think think that you can try that little trick again!"
And then she fell to the floor, clearly dead. I stared openmouthed. What had I done? I had killed her. And more importantly the long-dead Clan of Darklings was apparently back. I needed to start controlling my powers and I needed to do something. Most likely, Darklings weren't that easily killed usually. It was time to go back to the Tree. My head throbbed, the toll of magic. I felt faint and then it all went black.

Jade~
A girl shakes my shoulder, and I lazily open my eyes. She says something, but there is a horrible ringing in my ears, and I can't hear her. "Darklings... they're here... one was going to kill me, but I-"
"Jade, you were dreaming," she says. My ears are throbbing, and I can almost feel myself burning up. "Don't worry, everything's fine. Darklings were banished long ago"
"No, there was one," I croak, trying to stand up. It's important to make her believe me, because if the Darkling comes back, she'll have to defend both of us. I can barely walk, much less use any of my powers. I lead her to the fallen tree, and show her the little girl with red eyes. "Need to... get home," I mumble, right before I collapse into her arms. The last thing I see before I black out is a girl with wavy brown hair walking towards me.

Okay, this was horrible writing, and nothing really happened, but I'm kind of focused on what I want Chalfon to do next. Probably, I will attack someone in my next post. Please tell me if you don't want to be attacked, because I honestly don't know what to do. Most of you all have already been attacked and/or killed a darkling. Sorry, I'm just unsure of what to do.
