Few of us ever become who we wish we could be.

Few of us ever change the world as much as we know we can. Sure, I may have filled a job in a company- but anyone could have. Sure, I may have paid my taxes... anyone could of. Some of us want to save the world, not pay our taxes.

All of us. The geeks, the nerds who haunt the internet, all of us are going to change that, now. We're going to train. And fight, and win.

We WILL change the world. We will fight, and we will change the way people vote, the way politics work, we will work to stop inflation and fight the stupidity of the human race... we will work and we will fight, and we will profit from our hard work.

Officer Johnson scrolled down the blog, staring at it in awe. Thousands of comments on each blog post. Thoughts on what to call themselves. People who seriously actually, wanted to do ... something. This blog sounded like it was detailing a storming of the white house... but according to what he'd dug up on this, this blogger was only a nine year old girl.

Yay! I love Round Robins! :)

Officer Johnson stared at his computer screen. I'm supposed to stop this girl from posting anything else, he thought dejectedly, but I really don't want to. It doesn't seem right to stop her from changing the world. Officer Johnson put his head in his hands. What can I do? If I don't stop her, I get fired. Then I wouldn't have a job. Around here, though, most people seem like they don't need jobs. They spend tons of time posting things like they want to change the world, but I think they've figured out it's easier to write motivational speeches than to actually do something. Officer Johnson stood up. Well, he thought, the least I can do is talk to her parents.

***

Arriving at the girl's house, Officer Johnson got out of his car and rang the doorbell.

A small woman answered the door. "Yes?" she asked. When she realized that the man at her door was a police officer, her face turned white. She squeaked, "Come in, Officer."

"I'm here to talk to you about your daughter," Officer Johnson began, sitting down on the squishy couch.

Another man came in from the other room and yelled up the stairs. "Kyra! Can you come here, please?"

I hope that wasn't too long. I kind of got carried away. :)

Great start, Indigo!

"Kyra? Kyra! Come out here!"

No response.

"I'm sure she's somewhere in the house" the girl's mother says, dithering.

And then Officer Johnson tripped over the wire streched across the hall.

A bucket of water crashed onto hs head. His feet were yanked out from under him as a weighted net fell onto his head

"WHAT IS THIS?!" He yelled, trying to get up, soaked.

Everyone peered into the room. The girl's window was open and her computer, clothes, and necessities were gone. Footprints streched across the grass, heavy bootprints. And then his monitor dinged.

It is almost time. They are onto us, but we are ready. I am coming to Camp Four to prepare further.

Officer Johnson rushed out of the house, leaving Kyra's parents to wonder what their adopted daughter was up to.

Kyra entered, wearing a white dress and looking even smaller than Officer Johnson had imagined. She sat between her two parents. While her mother's face was still paper white, Kyra radiated confidence. "I understand you have started an....unusual blog."began Officer Johnson. Kyra nodded, completely unfazed by the threatening notes in the officer's voice. "The police department believes this site to be,uh, well,uh,..... they think it has to go! They find it an issue that could mess up our lives." "Well, that's sort of the point." answered Kyra. Seeing the shock on Officer Johnston's face, she hastened to explain."I mean, I created the blog because I think our lives are ready for a change, ready, as you say, to be 'messed up.'"

"It's time all of us—geeks, nerds, everyone— took a stand about the way things are going in this country."

I hope you don't mind that I'm posting again, I just think that this RR has some really good ideas going on it! :)

-----------

"Kyra, sweetie, you need to--" Kyra's mother began.

"No, Mom. I can do this myself. If the government thinks they can rule me, they're wrong,"  Kyra insisted.

"Kyra, you can't--" her dad interrupted.

"Dad, I mean this. If we want to change the world, then we have to do it ourselves."

"After hearing what you have to say, Miss Kyra, I believe that you might want to clear your thinking. If you want everyone around you, including yourself, to stay alive and healthy, I suggest you shut down your blog. The government obviously doesn't want you to do this, and after seeing what happened with the latest war, we don't want that happening again, do we?" Officer Johnson explained.

"That's just it!" Kyra shot back. "We're trying to stop violence! And prejudice! And segregation! And earn our rights! The right to vote! The right to bear arms! Especially the right to freedom of speech! The government shouldn't be able to control us!"

"Kyra," Officer Johnson said, hanging his head, "I think you better come with me."
