Poems, by Mary C.

These are just random poems I came up with. I don't usually like poetry, but I'm trying it. I've done some in the past. Sorry, if I copy anyone's idea or poem. Here goes:

Comes

A dog

comes

to save the day

A light

comes

to light the way

A flower

comes

to bloom in May

Conclusion

Everything comes

and everythings goes

what comes next

only God knows

Through the Air

Feathers

flying

through the air

Kitties

crying

in the square

Mice

prying

through the lair

some are unwelcome

and some are quite fair

If these poems confuse you or offend you, i'm very sorry. It's just something I thought up during school.SmilePlz comment, whether you like the poems or not. There will be more poems to come.

You certainly have great ideas!  Poetry can be really hard at times, and I admire your courage to post your work and give poetry a try.  However, you may want to try giving the rhymes a rest.  Rhymes are hard, and when you can pull them off, they sound pretty good; however, when you decided that you wanted your poems to rhyme, it may have distracted you from conveying a thought, or feeling, in your poem.  The mood of these poems aren't completely there/I can't exactly see what you're trying to get across...  You have great ideas, but you may find it easier to write free-verse.  It'll help your poems sound more complete!  Hope you keep posting, and this advice helps!  Happy writing!

Thx! I know, but I like rhyming. lol. I like to dabble in nonsense poems and actual ones. I will try writing free-verse. Thank you for your advice! Smile

I'm gonna use your advise and try writing free-verse. Yet another thing i thought up during school (some of my best ideas I find when I'm doing school).

Cat Antics

Sam and Lucy

staring at me

their kitty antics

make me laugh

little playfights,

and the chasing

of swishing tails

racing through the halls

fast games of tags

batting at random things

miscellaneous starings

at nothing particular

callor bells atinkling

Sam and Lucy

Yes, I am a cat person. I have two cats named Sam and Lucy. I also have a fish and 14 chickens.Smile
