Forestors Bk. 1: Getting Where We're Going
(note: Someday I'd like to send this to Cricket magazine, but I don't know how, nor do I have illustrations. And I haven't finished the book either. I am in seventh grade and this is my first teenish book so I'm as good as I'd like. But, oh well. I like it anyway. Hope you guys like it)
Beep! Beep!Beep! 13 year old, Summer rolled over onto her other side. Beep! Beep!Beep! She groaned. She opened her sleep-fogged eyes and fumbled around to turn off her alarm clock. She rubbed her eyes. Great... It's 2:30, she thought tiredly. She lay there for a minute or two. Now that she was fully awake she got up and ran to her younger brother's room. Summer was tall, with long, wavy golden brown hair, and emerald green eyes. Full of excitement at the day to come, she shook him harder than she meant. "Walter, wake up! You've got to get up! At this rate we're gonna be late!" Her 11 year old brother moaned and sat up. "It's almost 3:00am! Come on, let's get ready to go! Gotta go in an hour!" At this point Summer was almost jumping up and down in excitement. She couldn't wait until what would be her first real summer camp and, well, her first real adventure. She could be what you would call a 'sheltered child'. She was homeschooled, and the only things that she went outside her yard was for church, going to her grandparents, and going on sleepovers with her bestie, and shopping.
This 'real adventure' was a church Youth Group trip to a camp in the Rocky Mountains. This was not the usual two weeks, this was all summer. Walter and she rushed around the house gathering their luggage and getting various chores done. By the time they were done eating their breakfast it was 3:00am and their parents only just got up. Walter and Summer urged them to hurry. Their dad replied that he would not hurry till he had made a cup of coffee. Their mom agreed heartily.
After two cups of coffee and a 20 minute drive, they were finally at the Group's meeting place. It was a big red-brick traditional-looking church, with a big steeple and a few bells. In the front yard there was a sign saying "Christ Fellowship Church service; Sundays 9-10am". There was a tour bus on the other side of the parking lot from where the Clocksworths parked. (Yes, Summer's last name is Clocksworth.) It was still dark outside on the first day of June, so Summer got out and turned on her flashlight. Walter got out of the car like a slug, still weighed by sleepiness. Another car drove into the parking lot. Three shadowy figures got out of it. Two went into the church and one came running toward them. Summer pointed the beam of light toward the stranger. "Ahh, i'm melting!" dramatized Wendy Kenten, sheilding her eyes with her hands. "Oh, sorry," apologized Summer, hugging Wendy. "There should be lights soon," Wendy said, looking around the dark parking lot. Suddenly, the street lights in the lot flickered to life. Too be continued.....
I will be writing new parts to this story as often as I can. 've been thinking about this story for forever (well, it feels like it).

Forestors Bk. 1 part two
"Finally," said Summer, "I felt like I was in the dark forever!" Wendy laughed, "Yeah, right!" Another car pulled into the parking lot as Wendy's parents emerged from the church.
Summer recognized the vehicle. As soon as it parked she ran over and hugged her friend Jennifer Login. Her nine year old friend from church. Jennifer feigned falling asleep, leaning against her car. Summer jabbed her in the ribs gently. "I know you're not," she said. Suddenly, Jennifer jumped up and ran a big circle in the parking lot. "I've been up forever!" Jenn declared finally stopping in the middle of the lot. "Since when?" Summer asked, slightly puzzled, "Your not a morning person!" Jenn did a cartwheel. "When I'm on the brink of a huge adventure I am!" They both laughed. "Come bring your luggage to the bus!" called Wendy from ccross the cement. She hauled over a travel wagon, and they piled their stuff in it. Finally, after all their stuff was in the bus, people started driving in, and it was time for Summer and Walter's mom to leave. They both hugged their mom, almost regretting their decision to go on the trip. "I hope you all have a fun and safe trip," their mom said, still hugging them. They pulled away from each other and stood in silence for a few seconds. "I'll be thinking about you every day," declared Summer; a few doubts were knocking around in her head. "Yeah, and the summer will be gone so quick you won't even know we were gone!" said Walter over-enthusiastically. Summer and Walter started to walk toward the big bus. They turned back to see their car drive away with their mom waving out the window. They waved back. For some odd reason the cool, silent summer night eery; like they were on the verge of something much bigger than a summer camp. She pushed these thoughts away to the very depths of her minds, knowing these would only spoil her vacation. She had to enjoy this, she was not going to ruin her first big vacation by worrying. As she usually did. She took a deep breath, held it in for 15 second s and let it go.

Forestors Bk1: part three
"Yo! Are you coming' or not?" called Jen, hanging out of one of the bus windows. I heard Wendy scolding her and Jen pulled her head back inside.
Wendy emerged from the bus and looked at the car that just drove in. "Here are the boys," she declared, stating the obvious. The truck parked and immediately Shaun Parker, Alex Junior, and Will Maxwell shoved each other out the door.
We greeted them with high fives and yells. I then busied myself with helping pack luggage into the trunk of the tour bus.
"Boo!!!" I jumped but I tried to hide it. I rolled my eyes. Shaun... He's my age but he has the unfortunate habit of sneeking up on people. Especially me. "Really, Shaun." He laughed irritatingly, and grinned. "Really." "Remind me why your mom let you go?" I was trying to be sarcastic. "Um, I begged on my knees," he said, not taking the hint.
I dodged his foot, that shot up to trip me, and made my way to the familiar car that just arrived.
A zombie-like thing emerged from it. Then , somehow, it perked up and ran toward me. She collided with me, hugging me so tightly that I could barely breathe. I laughed anyway. "Good to see you too, Bree." I squeezed her back.

Forestors bk1: part four
Jenn ran up to us. I let go of Bree. "So this must be the famous Breanna Sadey," said Jenn smiling, she extened her hand. Bree shook it, smiling back.
"Everyone in the bus!!!" Jenn's dad called to everyone.
We all piled into the front of the bus. I tripped over Shaun's leg that had conviently blocked my way. ' Got you that time!" he laughed. I slugged him hard in the arm. "Quit buggin' me!"
All the seats were like those bothes you see in restuarants. facing each other, witha table in the middle. Bree, Wendy, Jenn, and me crowed around one table, shoving our small bags in the shelf above our heads.

Hey, sorry for not having written in a long time. But I'm wondering whether I should keep on writing. I'm hoping on publishing this book when I finish it and I don't know whether Cricket would be annoyed with me if I write the first book on this website and then publish it with some other company.
P.S. Moderators plz reply if you can help me understand.
It's fine to post your writing on Chatterbox, then later work with another company. Cricket doesn't publish books right now anywy.
