What the heck are lathes? Or lemmings? Or any other random L-words that sound cool?
A lathe is a machine tool which rotates the workpiece on its axis to perform various operations with tools that are applied to the workpiece to create an object which has symmetry about an axis of rotation.
A lemming is a small manmmal that lives on the Arctic tundra.
