The Life Of Jason Grace from 6ish to 15

Jason smiled. It had been a great night. It was the middle of June, and he'd had the best day with Piper.

He kissed her cheek goodnight and set off towards his cabin.

In his little nook away from stone Zeus's sight, Jason fell asleep wondering about the last bits of his memory that hadn't come back yet.

Suddenly, he was back at Camp Jupiter. Somehow Jason knew this moment. He was 10, about to be accepted into the legion.

Tracy and Connor, the praetors, stood tall on their platform, armor shining in the setting sun. Selia, the augur, stood by their side.

"Before the war games begin tonight," Connor announced. "We have a new recruit to accept. Jason Grace come forward."

Jason crept forward, feeling a little self consciousness as the 200 heavily armed legionnaires watched him.

"Jason, you came to us from Lupa when you were only three. You have been here ever since.Does anyone want to stand for him?"

"I do!" Someone in the back rows shouted. It was Dakota, a son of Bacchus in the Fifth Cohort.

Jason slightly grinned. He knew Dakota would stand for him. He had slept in the Fifth Cohort barracks since he was 6, and he had saved Dakota's illegal Kool-Aid rations with his coin/sword many times.

Now he hoped that the others would stand for him too.

"Does your cohort accept him?" Connor asked.

The entire cohort slammed their shields into the ground, making as much noise as possible.

Charlie, the senior centurion, said "The cohort has spoken. We accept the recruit."

Jason was relieved. He didn't want to know what would happen to a legionnaire without a cohort.Connor smiled.

"Congratulations Jason Grace. You stand on probatio. In one years time, or as soon as you complete an act of valor, you will become a full member of the Twelfth Legion Fulminata. Serve Rome, obey the rules of the legion, and defend the camp with honor. Senatus Populusque Romanus!"

As the legion cheered the scene blurred, and more memories ran through Jason's mind. He remembered that first night when he had flown up to the battlements, probatio tablet around his neck, when he had earned the Mural Crown for being first to breach the walls.

He remembered getting his coin when his father claimed him at 5. He remembered that first golden week of the legion training. He remembered the day he earned his tattoo.

It had been deathball. Someone in the First or Second Cohort(probably Octavian) had taken an illegal shot while Charlie had been reloading and hit his face with an acid ball.

Jason had spent the rest of the game guarding Charlie, getting hit with several acid and poison balls in the process.

After the game, Jason had been found collapsed next to Charlie with scorch marks all around their bodies.

Dakota had told him that the entire First Cohort had charged them at once. Jason had screamed, and they had been shoved back by a wave of electricity that had blown them off their feet and knocked them out, but it had drained Jason so badly that he had collapsed.

He had woken up in his bunk the next morning to see Tracy and Connor leaning over him, concerned looks on their faces. After getting a full review of his heroic actions, Tracy had said that he had earned his tattoo.

That afternoon, Connor assembled the legion.

"Yesterday, Jason Grace protected his centurion until he collapsed from the effort. For this he has earned his place in the legion. Jason, come forward."

Jason did, and the augur, Selia, stepped out to meet him.

"Jason Grace, do you pledge your life to the senate and people of Rome?"

"I do"

Selia stretched out Jason's right arm. "We accept Jason Grace, son of Jupiter, for his first year or service."

The five cohorts shouted together, "Senatus Populusque Romanus!"

Jason almost screamed. He looked down at his arm to see fiery symbols being seared into his arm. Seven horizontal lines, with SPQR and an eagle above it on his forearm.

"Seven lines for seven years." Selia whispered approvingly.

Dazed, Jason walk through the cheering legionnaires back to his spot in line. This scene grew fuzzy as well, and Jason saw random flashes of his life; the time he flipped his coin into a spear for the first time, meeting the Master of the Winds, killing the Trojan sea serpent.

As these flashed through his head he heard Selia's voice saying: "Jason Grace, eighth year of service." The ninth and tenth years went by too. Jason saw an image of his arm, new lines burning themselves into his skin.

Octavian's voice came in, sharp and clear. "Jason Grace, eleventh year of service. Jason Grace, twelfth year of service".

Jason saw himself fighting a man in starry armor who must have been Krios. He saw a black marble throne falling down the side of a mountain, split cleanly in half by a lightning strike. He saw himself raised on a shield as the crowd chanted: "Jason! Jason! Praetor! Praetor!"

He saw Nico do Angelo bringing in a new girl, Hazel Levesque, daughter of Pluto.

Then his vision changed. He saw Hazel getting her own tattoo, and a chubby Asian boy arriving with Lupa and her wolves.

Jason saw two gorgons chasing a tall boy with black hair and sea green eyes in a faded orange shirt.

It was Percy Jackson! Hazel and the Asian boy helped Percy through the maintenance tunnel to camp.

Percy ripped the gorgons apart in the Little Tiber and walked into camp with Hazel and Reyna.Jason saw Hazel standing for Percy, the Asian boy being claimed as a son of Mars, and glimpses of a quest to Alaska. He saw Percy Jackson raised on a shield and getting his tattoo.

Now they knew for sure that Percy was at Camp Jupiter.

Suddenly, Jason woke. He was excited. His entire memory was back!

The one thing he couldn't remember was the location of Camp Jupiter, but Juno herself had told him that would not return until he went back there himself.

He dressed quickly and ran off to find his friends. The Argo ll would be finished in a few days, and Annabeth would be anxious to hear everything about Percy.

Then they would sail to camp and try to save the world.

Sorry about the wierd formatting, I wrote this on my iPod and pasted it from an email.
