Victorian Gala Roleplay!
Victorian Gala Roleplay!
A gala is being hosted at the palace. Multiple people will be there, dukes, dutchesses, nobles, entertainers, even the servants who watch with envious eyes as they serve the eleborately dressed guests. Dancers, musicians, singers, all invited to the gala. The king hosted the gala on behalf of his son, Frances, who requested it. He requested it for a much darker reason then to make friends, as he told his father. In a month, the gala will take place. In the gala, will be special people, who most likely don't even realize just how special they are, and the cunning prince has them all in one place. Each person, has a little bit of magic, the magic lost in the medieval times. The prince strives to retrieve the magic, by certain rituals, from these 'special' people.
The magic is minor, shrinked down after being passed from grandchild to grandchild. One with fire could only enlarge or shrink the fire and heat it up. One with water could move liquid across flat surfaces. One with wind could control the wind to a small extent. Some even have speed, hyped senses, or the ability to remain in the shadows, hidden. They may seem minor, but if the prince gets his hand on the magic bearers, who knows what he could do with that power?
Okay! If you join this roleplay, i want you to be dedicated! Don't let it die!! Also, try to write more then a couple paragraphs when you do post. If you don't have time, thats fine, just say so. This also will be slow moving, as NaNoWriMo is going on. Do not feel rushed to post, take your time when writing chapters and all.
Please, no overpowered magic! It is minor! Most people who have it don't know about it, a certain few do.
Alright, here is the charrie form!
Name:
Age: (at least 16-18)
Magic: (MINOR)
Occupation: (Duke, entertainer [dancer, musician], noble, servant, ect...)
Appearance:
Personality:
Other:
Alright, also, let's have some boys! Two charries each, one should be a boy. Doesn't have to, but it would be nice. Also, if you have two charries, only one can have element magic, the other has to have the super-power-type-thing.
Here are my charries!
Name: Courtney Bloom
Age: 17
Magic: Speed. It is only slight, but allows her to move impossibly fast and gracefully.
Occupation: Entertainer; Dancer. Why she has speed.
Appearance: She has long, brown hair and big eyes that match the rich, chocolaty color. She's tall and slender, muscular after her years of dancing, even though she looks delicate. She has an impossibly straight nose, different then her soft features, and delicate, but high, cheekbones.
Personality: Stubborn and determined. She will turn one direction and won't stop walking that way until someone convinces her otherwise, which is a rare thing. She is a talkable girl, something looked down upon in this era, and very outgoing. She's adventurous and is always looking for a little mischeif!
Other: Her mom was a dancer. And she is a common folk, but her dancing skills gain her a bit of money, and she uses it wisely.
Name: Alaxandre Taime
Age: 18
Magic: Earth. He can basically telepathically move a bit of dirt of pebbles, and can has a way with herbs.
Occupation: Kitchen servant. His power helps with the cooking!
Appearance: He has a large forehead, placed above his shining green eyes and broad grin. His knotty black hair hangs down to his chin. He has a dark tan complexion, matching his tall figure. He never worked anywhere else but the kitchen, so his arms and legs are only strong from constant walking and stirring of stew.
Other: He knows about his power.
So there you have it! Someone else can have earth magic too, but vary it a little. Like, make it the ability to bloom flowers? Something cool like that XD.
Begin!

(December 17, 2015 - 8:28 pm)
Well I was last to post before you; also I'm waiting on Shadow Dragon to make my life interesting.
(December 17, 2015 - 11:26 pm)
So sorry! Have been busy, but here l am to make your life interesting!
Sparks~
l apologize to the young lady yet again after she has helped me to the infirmary. Frankly l feel quite embarrassed by the whole thing. Tripping over someone in the hall and then having to have them half drag you all the way to the infirmary. She lingers around the doorway after the doctor has seen to me and proclaimed that l need to rest.
She nods towards the hall. “l should get going now.
“Oh, and er, the name’s Sparks. Robin Sparks.” l stammer, as she turns to go.
“Brionna Fairweather at your service.” She smiles shyly, turning to face me, brushing her dark brown hair behind her ear and then ducking out of the room.
l take a deep breath and lean against the wall of the infirmary, listening as her footsteps recede into the distance, By the doctor’s order’s, l’m supposed to be lying around in bed while other, exciting things are going on. Nonsense! l quickly look around for any of the staff. No one. l’m perfectly fine, you see, doctor. No need to just lay around. Of all the boring thing to do! l grab my wide brimmed hat that has been hanging on the bed post and shove it on my head over the bandage. There. All set. l swing around the doorway, and then merge into the flow of people walking down the hall, keeping my head down and looking at my feet as l walk.
Last day before the gala. Where is the most excitement now? Think. Think.
And then l run into something. A door, to be exact.
“Terribly sorry, sir.” l tip my hat at the door, slinking off and keeping my eyes ahead of me now.
And then it matches up. The kitchen! Of course, the kitchen! It was right there, in front of my nose. How could’ve l been so ignorant of it! So obvious, so very dangerous. To the kitchen! Right away!
l take off, running.
The kitchen!
But, as it is, one does not simply find the kitchen by running randomly about. After sevral mintues of running through halls and up stairs of down stairs and into broom closets, l had yet to find something as simple as a kitchen.
A sense of panic fills me. l need to get to the kitchen! It’s too dangerous and no one knows about it! They could die in there!
~~~~~~~~
Annnddd l’m not going to inform you on the exact nature of this thing Sparks thinks is in the kitchen. Who knows.
How to create excitement: Make Sparks run into things and then run about.
I don't want to write in first person this time. Okay?
~Brionna~
As Brionna walked home from the Castle after picking up her cello, she couldn't stop thinking about Sparks. The way he looked at her, kind of shy, but seemingly friendly. She sighed, wondering if he was alright. As she approached her house, a dark shadow covered the sky. Stormclouds. She ran the rest of the way to her house, trying to get in before the rain came. She rang the doorbell, her mother answering, and dove inside. She unpacked her cello in her bedroom, fingers trembling as she tightened the bow. The Gala's tomorrow. She was perfectly prepared, how could she worry? The Gala's tomorrow. She knew all her pieces by heart, She was ready to lead the cellos. The Gala's tomorrow. She buried her head in her hands as the sky opened up, pouring rain onto the village she lived in. I will face it when it comes.
I'm coming in March, :3
Courtney~
Courtney woke up with a start, sitting up suddenly in bed. The gala. "The gala is today!" she exclaimed, jumping out of her comfortable bed. She ran over to the sink and washed her sleepy face, then hurried to eat a light breakfast. She put her hair up in a ponytail and headed out to the orchestra room, keeping an eye out for Brionna. They would have a run through, and then have a chance to eat before the gala. Courtney couldn't eat too much before her dance, but she didn't want to starve either.
When she opened the doors, a wave of sound hit her and she smiled, looking around with wide eyes.
Everything is perfect. Simply perfect.
~~~~~~~~
Well, I have things to do, and not much time. You'd think on Christmas break I'd have more time, but not this weekend! Ta ta for now, y'all!

Paris ~
I'm awoken by a maid gently tapping me. I stir, opening my eyes to darkness, for the sun hadn't risen yet. It is really hard not to go back to sleep as I sat up in my feather bed. The maid lays a tray of breakfast on my lap and lights the lamp on my desk.
After I finish my breakfast, I get up, pad across the cold floor to the bathroom, where I wash up.
I throw my dress on, maids helping me with lacing up, and get my hair done. My hair is curled, pulled back with a pin, my silver tiara atop my head. My new friends are sure to find out my secret now.

Alexandre~
He stood, his hands on his hips as surveyed the vast dining hall, a proud smile playing upon his lips. This was it, the day of the gala, and everything had been going wrong. But despite everything, they had pulled through, and all was well.
The banquet hall was full of servants, all busily preparing the table. Each one had a set task, and once they were done with that, they were sent to the kitchen to start bringing out food. There seemed to be an endless stream of them coming in and out of the kitchen, swarming around the snack table and the drink table. The fulfilling smells of the food rose up and mixed together, changing every time a new dish was brought out.
You could hear the orchestra playing just faintly above all of the chaotic clamor that was taking place in the hall. The great table that was usually centered in the middle, was, with much effort, pushed to the wall, now used as a buffet. It opened up the room immensly, even with chairs for the orchestra being set up.
Smiling, Alexandre took it all in for a moment longer, his eyes lingering as he turned into the kitchen.
Four more hours. Four more hours until all his hard work, everybody's hard work, came into play.
